I like the idea of the advanced metamagic coming off of Adept Centering. Adepts could use more metamagic :)

Going off that, I spoke to my GM and he likes the "way of the Shifter" idea.  He is going to allow that I can buy these (when we get them settled) for 15KP's each.
this is what i came up with so far, critiques and further extrapolations encouraged.

-Swift shift (Pre: Adept centering) Level 1, 15 KP: lets a shifter change as a simple action. Level 2 15KP lets the Shifter change as a free action.

-Partial Shift (Pre: Adept centering) 15KP: Lets the Shifter Change a limb while in one form to a limb of his other form

-Leader of the Pack (Pre: Attune Animal) 15KP: lets the Adept speed up the process of attuning an animal of his parent species ( cats, canines, lare cats, Bears, Birds,         Sharks etc.). he gets +4 dice and halves the time again that it takes to train them.

-Eyes of the Beast (Pre: Adept Centering) 15KP: give the Adept +3 dice to Assensing rolls as a complex action, as the Adept learns to bring to bear  his other senses into his aura reading besides only sight as regular Metas do.

We were also playing around with the idea that once these get incorporated that the Shifters  that know these can teach them to other shifters at a discount of 20% and if there is a way to go through an Ordeal that they can gain another 20%,

Or maybe just a flat 25% for those that follow "The way" as apposed to Wild Shifters that learn them on their own

My understanding of adepts' Ways is that each one 'finds' or 'discovers' his own, so while an Ordeal (as a learning experience) seems like a perfectly good form of discount, I'm not sure about being taught by another shifter. Also: Assensing is not vision, it's stated at least once in the core book and several times in Street Magic and I think also in Runner's Companion. A metahuman who is born blind can still use Assensing, because Assensing is a 6th sense of sorts. Perhaps alter "eyes of the beast" to give a +1 bonus to Perception and Assensing, representing a deeper connection to the breadth of his senses?

I also note that most Ways include a bonus for attuning or initiation level regarding one metamagic. Did you not think that fit this, or did you just not think of one yet?

Those comments being said, I like this idea. I think it fits the shapeshifter in Shadowrun very well.

I was thinking that those abilities were what you got for 15KP a pop, but maybe +1 die per initiate level for Eyes of the beast and Leader of the pack instead of a static bonus.
The quick shift could be 15KP and a magic roll +1 per Initiate level with a threshold of (2) to shift as a simple action and (4) for a free action?
The same roll for partial shift with a threshold of, (2) minor body part (like a hand) ; (3) for a limb or head; (4) for half body?

Oh, you wrote those as 15 karma? Normally I just see it written as "karma" instead of "KP", so I might have misread. My mistake. I suppose that means they're treated more as lower-level qualities, in which case I suppose they work well as Shifter-specific qualities.

As far as the ways of the adept, here's an example of one of the initiative boosts that I mentioned:
Quote from: Way of the adept
The Artist's Way:
...
In addition, they receive +1 to Initiate grade for purposes of any two of the Adept Centering, Divining, Psychometry, or Sensing metamagic techniques.
Not all of them do that - the Artisan's Way instead reduces the karma cost to attune any item via Attune metamagic.
