Hey, I'm looking to compile a list of in-universe famous peoples, especially those in acting or music careers, and especially those in the late 2060s on, within the Shadowrun continuity. I trolled through the books looking for this info and couldn't find it. I want to have more details for my Shadowrun world for a high-society trip to LA. I can make this stuff up, sure, but I'd like to use established characters if possible. Besides, I am dying to know who stars in certain pre-established roles.

EDIT: So, I am changing the objective of this thread to be a list of actors and music stars which are NOT listed in Attitude. The reason is Attitude has some pretty solid stuff listed for you in an easy format, so just get Attitude if you want that info. I do want a complete list, though, so I am going to search for info from other books.

Also, I will post the names of series here because it can be used as an RP tool, deciding what shows your character watches.

Known series:
Karl Kombatmage
Neil the Ork Barbarian
Sukie Redflower
Cree and Dido, a popular comedy trid series of movies, starring Fred Cleve and Jacques Brun. See Attitude
Sadness Cubed, a quirky romance on the Trid involving an interracial love triangle
Chase: Errant Knight. Think Dog the Bounty Hunter only he is a cop, not a bounty hunter. Trid series.
Hyperbolic Vanguard Corps. An anime simsense series focused around a squad of Japanese Marines fighting off space terrors from another galaxy.
Water Margin. Simsense series focused around a group of Taiwanese shadowrunners and their lives.
Glerethiel Morkhan Shoam, a popular Tir sitcom. The title translates as "Keeper in the Monkey House", "Inbreeding Causes Stupidity", or a third highly vulgar expression which involves Humans copulating with pigs. Highly racist and involves graceful elven nobles and stupid Humans. (Thanks, Giraffe shaman)
The Odd Coven. I think it's about an uptight mage who is roommates with a messy and rowdy shaman. The SR version of the Odd Couple sitcom. (Thanks, Giraffe shaman)

Known actors:
Euphoria (deceased in canon IIRC)
Gary Cline
More in Attitude, p. 62 on, chapter "The trid scene."
Pandora, star of the action movie that an adventure is named after. (Thanks, RDMarquis)

Producers and Directors:
"Big" Ben Howard, a troll director who specializes in documentaries, but has an ambition to break into action movies. (Thanks RDMarquis)

Musicians:
Maria Mercurial
Jet Black
Popstar Bella Sora
Boy-band singer Kento Goto
Christy Daee, an extremely popular singer I've heard her described as 2072's equivalent of Britney Spears. (Thanks RDMarquis)
Anarchy: Subsidized focuses on a musical superstar named Teiko Ikemoto, who works for Mitsuhama. (Thanks, RDMarquis)

Yeah, Attitude is great for this stuff.

Re: Neil the Ork Barbarian, I'm pretty sure it's essentially a franchise and the actor has changed several times over the years.

Neil the Ork Barbarian is a franchise, and yes, they've gone through at least two Neils. And yes, Euphoria is dead. Queen Euphoria is one of those early modules that introduces players to the fun of insect spirits.

The music group Concrete Dreams was often mentioned in early Shadowrun material. If memory serves they were pretty reclusive by the time 2050 rolled around, but would occasionally pop up to put on shows in the Seatlle Metroplex. ISTR they were like a cross between Nirvana & Phish, a sort of grunge/jam-band crossover.

You might also want to score a copy of Shadowbeat, which has been re-released in PDF. It's the original 1E/2E sourcebook covering media and the entertainment industry.

SHADOWBEAT!!!! THAT is the book I have been trying to remember!!!! Thanks you!

EDIT: I am going to go check those books, and then add to this list. I think it will prove useful.

The SR4A book and Attitude both have references to popular music and movies/trids/sims. Pg 50 of SR4A has a side bar with the top 10 songs/bands and top 10 sims/trids. Attitude goes into this deeper still with actual actors listed for many of the popular trid/sim releases.
I somehow think Karl Kombat Mage and Suki Redflower are also franchises like Neil the Ork Barbarian so may have been played by several actors over time. I know Karl is from the 50s. Think of the role as being like James Bond.

You can find Water Margin in Attitude. There are a bunch of other sims and trids in there too.

A couple of the Horizon adventures center around the music and film industries.

Without giving too much away, the NPC list for A Fistful of Credsticks (you should consider grabbing this, as it takes place in LA and Hollywood) includes the following.

Pandora, star of the action movie that the adventure is named after.

Christy Daee, an extremely popular singer I've heard her described as 2072's equivalent of Britney Spears.

"Big" Ben Howard, a troll director who specializes in documentaries, but has an ambition to break into action movies.

All three are employed by Horizon subsidiaries.

Anarchy: Subsidized focuses on a musical superstar named Teiko Ikemoto, who works for Mitsuhama.
