"If you guys can give me an adress of that gang, I can have a look around," Kitten said over the comm, "and if you're right and it's a matrix gang, they probably won't have much in the way of astral defences.  But what exactly do we need this gang for?  We have matrix support, right?"

@all: Let's be honest here, everyone's feeling cautious, so a request for extra security and noise isn't unusual, which is my reason for going along with this. I'm also going to be very surprised if these guys can't fight,  they're a Barrens gang after all. The plan, I assume, is if we have a run in with the rentals and need a distraction on the way out, we call on them to help out on whatever deal we make with them. However, If we don't need them; then we do have a favor we can call on later; you never know when that maybe useful. The downside is we don't know what they'll offer if they're in a war with another gang but no harm in asking, right?
Cookie sighed just as he sent the message, looking out the window as Andromeda's car pulled up to the downtown address that he'd given her for his in the ACHE, the shabby hole in the wall that it was; not that he intended to be here long.
"Be back in 5; try not to scare the neighbors." bolting from the car and rushing inside, up the apartment stairs ignoring the elevator(that hadn't worked since he moved in),  it didn't take him long to get in and grab the kit and the rest of his cache of HE grenade launcher rounds. Then locking up and rushing back down the stairs. out to the car again; exactly as the five minutes was up. "Can I get in? he panted out of breath at the car door.

"Uhm, hate to disappoint you guys, but what Cookie just described would be the best possible outcome, not one I'd really count on.
Maybe they'll take the deal and be prepared to stay on stand-by to create a distraction when we call them. I'd consider myself very lucky if they show up when we want and do what we want.
But that doesn't mean that if we don't call 'em, we'll have an IOU in our pockets we can call on whenever it comes in handy.
Personally, I'll be happy already if they don't turn on us the moment their 'job' is done, if not sooner."
Silk didn't like dealing with gangs very much. To her it was just one of those parts of the job that sometimes couldn't be avoided.

Andromeda Piked up Pulse, Now the Shin started to look owercrowded, and Silk would not like it much, there was only one thing left: "Cookie, you know Silk might get a bit bossy if she does not like how things are, right?" Remembering the meet with the J  - "Might be a good idea to let her have the other front row seat, no?" She looked at the man with understanding, he as well knew that she is trying to make his life easier.
So upon arrival at Silk's place one more look was given to Cookie saying somthing like "It's time..."

Nodding back,  Cookie started to get out of the car "Going to do the door holding thing; so, uh just let me open it from outside." as he got out of the car to wait for Silk to appear.
Right, remember step aside, open the door, look around let her get in and then you get in afterwards in the back, why am I worrying about this...

Silk ran hopping blithely towards the car.
"Why thank you so much! You sure know how to treat a lady!", she giggled, smiling puzzled but amused.
"Hi everyone! Little bit busy in here! Room for one more? The more the merrier, right?"
Resisting the urge to put her feet on the dashboard -Noise'd had no trouble with that, but Andromeda was always oversensitive to anything involving her toys- she asked "You're all going with me to this meeting?"

Closing the door behind Silk, Cookie got in the back of the car before answering Silks question.
"true, true, not sure what's happening with the meeting now though..besides what was mentioned over the 'trix,  I guess we're waiting to see what Pulse digs up.
sighing to himself as he made himself comfortable in the backseat adjusting the himself so the portable surgical kit didn't dig too much into him.
