What's the rule regarding a human using an item made for trolls, i.e. the honda viking's troll metahuman customization?  Can the human ride it with just a penalty to piloting tests?  Is he unable to reach all of the required pieces(handles, peddles, the ground)?

You can use the misfit weapon size modifier from pg 161 of Arsenal if you need a penalty. Otherwise there is nothing rule wise that says humans (or orks or elves) take any penalty for using a vehicle customized for either a dwarf or a troll.

Cool, I didn't think there was anything, but I wasn't sure.

Although a human on a dwarf size bike does conjure an amusing mental image.

I'd hate to see a Dwarf Shriner in a parade.  ;D

Yeah, I'd just house-rule it in to fit whatever penalty a dwarf gets for using human-sized stuff.  They're one "size" smaller than intended, so it would seem to incur the same penalties.  Likewise, a human using dwarf-sized stuff would be akin to a troll using human-sized stuff, were it to come up in one of my personal games.

What IS the penalty for a dwarf using human stuff?

-2 for wrong sized weapons. The penalty only comes up with firearms so I'd just use that one.

What rolls would that apply to?  Piloting skills?  Attacks?  Everything involving the bike at all?

What ever you want. Remember, there is no actual rule to penalize humans (or orks or elves) for using gear built for trolls or dwarves. There is the  rule in Arsenal that applies to anyone trying to use an outsized weapon, but that is only for weapons (pg 161 Arsenal). By RAW there is no penalty to driving a dwarf (or troll) modified car (or bike or LAV) if you are a human (or ork or elf).

So, by RAW, there's no penalty for a troll using a human-sized vehicle?  Then what's the point of the metahuman customization for trolls or dwarves?

They don't fit well properly otherwise. Now if you like lying on the backseat, or cramped with your neck pressed against the roof, or having to drive standing rather than sitting, more power to you chum.

Pg 311 of SR4A. So you could apply this to cars and such if you like.

When using an item not customized for their hand sizes, dwarf and
troll characters receive a –2 modifier on their dice pools. This modifier
also applies in reverse; an elf trying to use a dwarf-modified weapon
suffers a –2 dice pool modifier. This effect is also cumulative, so a dwarf
forced to use a troll-modified tool (or vice versa) would suffer a –4 dice
pool modifier.

Right, I saw that part, Mantis.  I was referring to where you said this doesn't typically apply to vehicles.  If there's no reference for vehicle size impairing dwarven/troll abilities to use it, then there's no real point to getting metahuman customization(other than the obvious IC comfort issue).
