Mams is gonna wanna keep an eye on the potential decker.  As he's got shite for a 'link his gear is pretty vulnerable.  He'll use a bunch of those hits to spot the persona running on that deck and make sure they aren't sniffing around too much.

as for the rest of the shopping, Darlington is a nice little provincial town. Plenty of shops open that stock the mid-range gear you're after.
a couple of food marts that you can get supplies at and plenty of clothes and outdoors shops to get winter kit and your ponchos/tents/ etc from.
the shops all stay at the book's list price for simplicity so take any purchases at the list price off your cash reserves.

just trying to keep things moving, happy for you guys to be a bit more player led on this mission as its been very GM led so far.
If you're just gonna plough on and get up onto the A66 pass then you can get as far as the beginning of the back road (about an hour's drive from the centre of darlington) before the next scene

You came up from Liverpool which is on the west coast and then drove the a66 eastwards to Darlington. You're now going westwards back up the a66 in the opposite direction to the way you came

currently two range bands in chase combat, so long/extreme range for tasers.
It is possible to do so, just might get a bit interesting if you start pulling big swinging maneuvers :-)
