As i said earlier, I will be on vacation from tomorrow to the next Sunday, mostly AFK. I will try to post as much as i can but it probably won't be more than once or twice during that period.

yeah, it'd been grinding to a halt anyway, this combat seems to have taken about a month and we've only fired about 6 shots.

is everything alright as regards the hot sim modification for my commlink?

@Csjarrat: Hot sim mod is OK. I won’t make you roll for installing the oil slick sprayer, the lad Danny sent did help if you wanted him to, and you had all the time you needed to finish the mod.

@all: I decided that I will try to recruit a new player to replace Gustovness/Leroy. However, I won’t wait with the beginning of the new part until he/she is ready with the character. We still have to finish the party side scene with Farothel, and if anyone else wants another meaningful side scene, just tell me. (If the scene is just for a friendly chat and a few beers, I will stay with narrative if it is OK. If you want to discuss something important with a contact, we can go into details.)
Currently, I will keep Leroy in the game (and develop him as I see fit) but if we find a replacement, that may change.

@MaxKojote: holler please if you read this, just want to know if you’re ready to go on. Also, do you want to spend any karma?

@Farothel: Miko knows from Sam's previous accounts that the Great Bear is the leader of the Crackers gang. He is a very good leader, keeping his gang tightly together and out of major trouble. He can be moody but is basically a gregarious and sociable person - as much as his position allows.

@Farothel: feel free to ask about the trolls and orks here, you will have plenty of opportunity to talk to them. Sam will be with you most of the time but not through all of the evening, there are some old friends of his here he has to talk to privately. There are five distinct groups at the beginning: the ones around the hookah, the young boys drinking and “dancing”, the mechanics, and two groups (one primarily of women, one mixed) on the sofas. Around twenty are in gang colors, the others must be relatives, wannabes, guests.

I will be away for the Discworld Convention from the 7th of August to the 12th.  While there is WiFi in the hotel and I will try to check every day, it will be very busy and also I will be posting from my telephone.  So don't expect much from me during that period.

Actually, I just posted the recruitment thread. Sorry for the delay, but busy days continue for me. Still, I intend to keep the schedule I wrote in my last post: I’ll start the new IC thread in the first days of September.

OK, unless you want something else to manage during downtime, that you’d like to get IC attention, we can officially close downtime. As for recruitment, there isn’t too much interest, only three people had something to add so far. I’ll wait till Sunday but I don’t think there will be too much to choose from. I'll conclude that as soon as possible and then we will go on with the game.

Strange that recruitment isn't going well, as normally there are a lot of people who want to do a PbP.  Maybe the fact that it's still school holiday has something to do with it.

yeah its just that time of year. been a few recruitment threads pop up recently too and they've not had the usual rabid dogs baying for places either!
