Can I make a Matrix Perception on the other node that was alerted? 
Computer 3 + Analyze 5 = 8d6
8d6.hits(5)=3

First I just want to identify the node.  Who does it belong to?
Second checking on it's alert status.
Third whether a Trace is running.  If so I'll roll a Redirect Trace to try and hide my tracks better. 

At least point I just want to lay low and make sure the authorities aren't on their way.

The node belongs to a commlink. It's not in alert mode for the moment. And third, there are no traces currently running.

In that case I'm going to attempt to Intercept Traffic so I can monitor any further communications between the comm and the building's node and possibly edit it if need be.

I have an auto picker and a maglock sequencer, I forogt to give myself a rank in lock picking... 
First Time I have done the BnE stuff, I roll agi -1 for default plus the lockpickers rating right? then how do I handle the maglock?

If you don't have a rank in locksmith, you can use the autopicker + agility for the mechanical lock test. For the maglock, it's a hardware + logic skill, if you have the appropriate tools. If not, Kuren will have to hack it.
