"Well, I don't want to get you in trouble, sorry about that."  Smiley sat back down, wondering how long it will take Tetsuo to find this girl.  Absently he sipped his drink, looking at the tuxedo man, toasted him.  Turning back to Makato, he tried to regain lost ground, "I hope I haven't scared you off, I am just a bit hungry, we have been in meetings all day.  You asked about my home, are you from Tokyo?"

The tuxedo man comes to you and says "Talk only, no take" in broken English making a big "X" with his arms. He clearly doesn't look happy about the way you grabbed your girl. Throughout the room, you can feel the stares on you, murmurs barely audible but no doubt talking about you.

In Japanese, Smiley will reply to the gentleman, "I apologize, it was not my intention to make a scene or dishonor your establishment.  Hunger spoke louder than good sense, it has been a long day, and I was hoping that it was possible for the lady to complete her shift early so she could show me a nice restaurant. Please excuse a gaijin for poor manners."  He will make the statement trying to walk a tightrope of maintaining control, yet showing contrition. A proper bow/nod will follow.

The man simple looks at you and says "The club closes at 5:30, we're sorry if that inconveniences you" with a bow. You notice Makoto also slightly bowing.

Smiley will accept the rebuke without reaction, the incident already forgotten in his behavior, and will spend the remaining time wooing Makoto and keeping her with him.  He will nurse the drinks so as to avoid getting too intoxicated, but will keep Makoto drinking as much as she wants.

The night goes on without any other major incidents. Makoto matches your drinking speed, as any decent hostess should. Around 5:30, you see all the other patrons have left and your group is the only one left, with Mia sitting not far from you sipping on a drink, no doubt singing some song in her head and Yaibei, as tight as ever, sipping a cranberry juice at the bar, the staff trying to keep their interactions to a minimum with him. Nobody wants to tell you it's closing time, but you definitely see it through their actions that it's time for you to go.

"Is there somewhere I should meet you? It is looking like I should gather my associates and be going, but I hope you are still interested in showing me a good place to eat."  Smiley says to the hostess.

"You can meet me at the convenience store at the end of the street in 15 minutes, and we can go to the place" answers the girl. As you get up to leave, everyone in the bar bows to you and the usual "Arigatou gozaimashita" is echoed by everyone. Getting out into the street, you realise the sun is on its way up.

You wake up to find a message from both of your contacts you messaged last night. The first, from the detective, is very short: "Never heard of him. Do you have a SIN I can look up?"

The second message, a little lengthier, goes like this. "Here's what I found. It's not much, but I hope it helps you Yamaguchi-san.

Pipebomb just recently moved to Neo-Tokyo. In fact, he just recently moved to the JIS altogether. There's not much in police databases about him as a result, but I was able to find his real name thanks to the images you sent me. His real name is Michael Fisher and he comes from CalFree. I found old footage of his parents fighting against our forces in San Francisco, but they eventually died for their deluded cause. There are unofficial reports that Michael might have hit Imperial Forces with IEDs after their death, but nothing has been factually linked to him. As to why he's in Neo-Tokyo is anyone's guess, but I'll bet it's not to pay his respects to the Emperor."

Kuren's alarms blare out early in the morning, luckily one of them belonged to the soykaf machine.  With hot cup in hand Kuren reads through the replies to inquiries.  The detective's reply was about as helpful as he had anticipated.  *I highly doubt Mr. Fisher has a legitimate SIN being from California and even if he did, he certainly wouldn't be using it to travel here.  Hmm... for now I had best just keep a close eye on him.*

QuickReply to the detective: <Not yet Detective.  I'll let you know once I have more information.  Thank you in advance.>

A reply to his old friend would take a little more thought and tact.  Kuren takes some time checking the tests to gather his thoughts and update his file on Pipebomb before sending out his next reply. <Thank you Saito-san.  You've given me a good place to start.  Next time you have some leave you must let me buy you a drink.>

Kuren cleans up and has a simple breakfast then spends the rest of his time before the meeting to compile the results of his tests.  He leaves with enough time to take the subway and still arrive a few minutes early.

"It doesn't look like any of your co-workers have taken an interest in either of my friends, but they are certainly welcome as long as they don't mind giving us privacy."  Smiley will give her good bow as he leaves, and once the runners are out of earshot will brief Jubei and Mia on Makoto and their 'date' as they head for the store.  "How do you guys want to do this interrogation?  Keep it nice, or flip the script and go hardball with her?"

[Chrona]

J stretched and started to do a simple exercise routine when he awoke, watching the sun rise from his alleyway. After stuffing sleeping gear into the usual stash he began to eat one of the small vendor meals he had gotten his hands on earlier in the week.
With his daily source of krill and soy eaten he used his commlink to message Kuren. "What time are we picking the box up from the J again, Kuren-san? I saw you were keeping extensive AR notes, and I didn't want to be late."

Kuren perked up seeing J's message. *Excellent I was afraid I'd have to go alone..*  He replies,  <Ohayōgozaimasu J-san.  We are scheduled to meet at 1100 hours, I look forward to seeing you there.>

[Chrona]

"You too Kuren-san. See you there." With a couple hours till the walk to the Johnson's club, J meditated on the spirit they spoke too the night before. he had never had to pull up a spirit of man that powerful before in such a way, no spirit he had ever summoned had seemed so much like a person, and he thought on this through the morning.
When the time comes he will head off to meet Kuren.

As you're sipping your soycaf and reading through your emails, a light beeping sound announces the completion of the tests. You finish replying and head into the other room to see the results:

- Your DNA samples turned up 3 different individuals. Two women in the apartment, and one man from the body sample. You will have to run them through a database to know their identity. (OOC: Either you hack yourself into one or you hand off your stuff to someone else)

- You found a foreign substance in the body on top of the usual stuff: calebas curare.
