Your search finishes quickly and leads you to Whulee Shop and Salvage, back across the bridges in southwest Mombasa

Ultra stores the GPS co-ords into his commlink and attaches it to his to-do list. Glancing at the time, he'd have to swing by tomorrow, first thing.
Right guys, got us a decent start point for beefing out my 'van. I'm gonna hit it up in the morning, see if I can get us some decent off-road tires, long range tanks and a good pulling winch. How we looking on getting a bunk tonight?

"The waitress said we should be able to find lodging closer to the docks. We seem to be on the outskirts at the moment. If we plan on staying at the same place and traveling there, please wait while I use the washroom."

Mlinzi excuses herself from the table and heads to the restroom. After relieving her bladder, she washes up, stripping the face paint from her face. Downtown Mombassa appeared to not be a place where tribal identification was appreciated. Once her face was reasonably clean, she returned to the table. "Are we ready to go?"

"You all strike me as fairly professional," Alexander said, scrolling through several Matrix sites with the thumb-wheel of his commlink. "I take it we can all agree on some fairly frugal accomodations? We want to keep as much of our advance free for information, survival equipment, so on. I'll see if I can find us somewhere cost-effective." As he spoke, Alexander searched for ads for local motels, sorting them by looking at the cheapest and closest first. He then forwarded his results to the other runners at the table.

"Accomodation? I have my place i will return to after we discussed everything we needed. I don't understand why we would need one place to stay."

Frenchy nods at Alexander. That would be appreciated. It's a long drive back to Nairobi. He glances at Mutumbo. I don't think you would have to stay there, but some of us aren't local talent.

You ask for your bill and settle up with the waitress before departing for the night, to either your abode or Josie's. Those arriving at Josie's, enter into a narrow wooden building and each acquire a room for the night. You follow the long hallway into the depths of the bunkhouse, noting the evenly spaced doors every 2.5 meters or so. About halfway down the hallway, you reach your cluster of rooms, and settle in for the night.

Wherever you find your rest, you awake the next morning around 0800, ready to go about your tasks in preparation for Alzmer's arrival tomorrow.

Mlinzi awakens at 0800 to her commlink's alarm chime. Waking up from a fairly relaxing sleep, the woman stretches and gathers up her belongings. Departing Josie's, the elf spies a cafe in close proximity to the flophouse and settles in there. Knowing how much loiterers tend to infuriate cafe owners, Mlinzi orders a small soykaf.

Pulling out her commlink, she shoots a quick message to the team message group that Ultra had established the previous day.

<<@Team [rohorafiki] Grabbing a soykaf at the cafe next door, if anyone wants to meet up before we head out.>>

looks like we're first up Johannes said as he walked through the door of the cafe.
He'd been up early to drive back in for the meet and his stomach was reminding him loudly that he'd missed breakfast.
Ordering a soycaf and a cooked breakfast he took a seat next to Mlinzi.
I'm gonna head out after this and get some kit for the van and some more rations for the trip. Got a spare seat if you wanna ride out?

Frenchy walks into the cafe with his coat slung over his shoulder looking clean and scrubbed without last nights road dust. His hair is in careless spiky dissaray. He orders a soycaf and a piece of fruit and sits down to join the other two. Late start eh? He drums his fingers on the table lightly as he waits for his coffee. He glances at Ultra.  Did you need help kitting out your van? I have tools in my gear and know my way around a drive train.

Frenchy nods languidly and smiles wryly as the waitress brings his soycaf and mango. He sips and grimaces. This coffee is shit. Up on the Med we used to drink the real Kenyan stuff on night ops. Now I'm in Kenya and all I can afford is soy. Frenchy spits on the ground I wish we knew more about the setup. Hard to plan when the Johnson tells you nothing and the fixer is too busy playing games to know what you need.

too right. Just hope what we can plan works out alright. Made enough enemies in this life without making any more.
Johannes finishes his breakfast, swilling back the soycaf, not really understanding what the foreigner's complaint with the soycaf was. It was warm, wet and caffeinated. Sorted?!

"Thank you for the offer, but Francois here may be a better choice. I'm a bit of a devil around machines sometimes,"  Mlinzi replies to Ultra. "I am going to head out in a minute to take a look at the docks and get an idea of what kind of traffic and security we are likely to see tomorrow. I'm sending a message to Asha now to see if Johnson has provided a specific berth where we are to meet Alzmer."

Sipping her soykaf, the elf flips open her commlink and taps out a quick message to Asha.

Your reply comes through almost at the same moment as you send your query

I'll send it along as soon as I get it from Mr. Johnson.
