Mantis relays the intel that his spirit gave him then asks. I'm not really at my prime right now, but I should be able to get a spell in place. I would suggest what ever spell I put on you don't completely trust it. Oh ya I can also have our spirit here help conceal you if you want. So what spell you looking for Invisibility or a mask? Mantis looks down at the dock then stretches his wounded leg. Drek I really don't want to sneak into that place in my condition, I guess when living in the shadows very few things are done easy Mantis's mind think about what a pain it was just to itch his lungs need for the sweet kiss of smoke.

"If the spirit can help that should be enough.  You just sit here mate and I'll check it out."  Once the spirit's concealment is in place Knives heads towards the pier.  He sticks to the shadows and slowly makes his way down.

The stairway is long and winding, twisting its way down the steep hillside to the harbour.
The briny smell of the sea brings back the scent of home, minus the cloying polluted air of the east end of course. Sticking in tight to the barrier for cover, you arrive on the "ground level"
of the harbour.
From your new vantage point you can see the harbour masters office ahead of you with the chest high gate + jetty to its left. The well lit boat was moored up o the right side of the jetty, just past the harbour masters office.
You could see light streaming through the main window of the office, casting a dim orangey glow
Directly to your left was the section of the harbour set aside for pleasure craft. All manner of yachts, speedboats and cruisers tugged at their moorings in the light swell stirred up by the stiff cold breeze.
You were glad of your greatcoat once more, its thick lining keeping the buffeting northerly wind out of your paper thin disposable clothes.
Glancing to your right, you took in the scene more closely now. A small storage building was built into the cliffside you descended, it's signage in French, heavy worn shutters indicating it sees regular usage. A number of light pleasure craft were stored on racks for inspections, a light mobile crane seemingly the only way of hauling them out of the water.
A plan hatches in your mind, the selection of rowing boats and light motorcraft moored up by the harbour edge would provide the perfect method of checking out the ship without risking the office's inhabitants.
Keeping low and quiet, you slink over to the harbour edge and peer into your options.
One of the rowing boats hadn't been used in ages, a hole in its stern having flooded it seemingly years ago.
A small derigible looked great, but you didn't have the keys for the outboard. It left you with the third option, another rowing boat.
Gently, you lowered yourself over the side, stifling a scream as your busted shoulder muscles protested loudly in pain. You were in, but getting out would be a challenge.
Having never attended boy scouts, you swiftly gave up fucking about with the knot, slashing at the thick restraining rope with your fineblade before setting yourself loose with a gentle push off from the harbour side.
You wobbled about in the small wooden boat as you took your seat and plonked the oars over the side into the inky black water, gingerly pulling the oars through as once again your shoulder screamed at you.

The sound of the oars in the water broke the deadly silence of the night. Each stroke sounded like a jet engine with your audio enhancement dialled up, your spatial recognizer didn't like it either; rapidly flicking between the left and right channels. You commanded them into the background processes, uncluttering your AR feed as you went.
You slowly paddled out into the deeper water to put some distance between you and the office and marvelled at the beautfiul reflections of the harbour lights in the oily black water.
The ordinarily still waters chopped at the lip of the bow, hindering your efforts slightly. Rounding an expensive looking Yacht, you saw movement in the harbourmasters office.
It was too distant and too badly lit to make out any detail, but a large person was definitely moving about in there.
From your new position, you could see that the harbour perimeter was made of a wall of granitey looking boulders, reinforced by a concrete exterior wall. It was badly lit, probably by virtue of being barely used, except for inspecting the two red and green beacons on each side of the huge tidal gate some half a mile from your tiny boat.

Pulling harder than your muscles liked, you rounded the last of the expensive play-things moored up and out into more open water of the harbour.
AR beacons flashed on a series of buoys, "Attention: la zone commerciale. Les bateaux de plaisance; Ne pas entrer"
Even with your total lack of french, the flashing no entry sign over a small sail boat was clear. They didn't want non-commercial traffic in this section of the harbour.
A series of green AR arrows traced the designated path for recreational craft around the harbour walls and out to the tidal gate, avoiding the restricted commercial zone.
It didn't matter though. Your new angle ran perpendicular to the vessel, "La Mer Generuese".
It's AR ID protocol identified it as a light commercial trawler, with clearance for fishing the English Channel, North Sea designated safe zones and Independent Channel Island waters.
It was lit, and a low rumble and gurgle of water at it's rear indicated its engines were fired up in anticipation of leaving.

The biting wind hit you in the face hard as you stood at the top of the long stairway, observing as Knives slunk and skulked his way down the hill.
Your thoughts turned to having another ciggy to kill the time as the spirit pressed you further; Summoner, I asked you a question. For what further tasks do you need me?.
Lighting another death stick, your eyes were drawn to the flame of your lighter, staring at it intently until a gust of wind extinguished it.
The distant sound of an approaching engine caught your ear, heading in from the suburbs you came from.
As you turned to look in the direction of the approaching sound, you saw knives cast off into the harbour waters in a small rowing boat, dreading the next step of this long old day.

Once he laid eyes on his target Knives sets the oars in quietly.  He rubs his shoulder screaming in agony hoping to alleviate the pain even for just a second.  He pings Mantis over the microtransciever, whispering into his subvocal mic, "Found it mate.  This is our ticket out of here and what a sight she is.  Check in on Dunk, I don't want to light up my com out here."

Knives lingers for a minute to let his shoulder quiet down before rowing himself back in.

Turning the craft around with a few deft strokes, You gently row back towards the harbour wall, tucking in the oars well in time.
You realised you'd set yourself up for a bit of a predicament as you return, the half of the restraining rope on your commandeered row boat now wet and freezing cold from its swim in the harbour and the other half still attached to the mooring on the harbour wall.
It'd take an awful lot of strength to haul yourself back up onto the harbour side, especially with a busted shoulder. You weren't looking forward to that at all.

But soon enough you'd got the boat in place, fighting with the freezing cold wet rope and forcing it into some kind of knot to hold it in place. Steadying yourself against the harbour wall, you haul up the up with one hand and scarbble up the side onto the cold stone. Your sheaths dig in to your gut painfully as you roll over and push yourself up into standing, your should incredibly tender after the climb.
A quick glance around shows that nothing had changed since you departed, the harbourmaster's office still lit and the harbour just as sleepy as it was 20 minutes before

Once Knives asks for spirit back up Mantis replies to his helper. Sorry for the wait I need you to use your concealment power on my friend down there, and myself, keep it in place until I say other wise. Thanks little buddy.

Mantis gets Knives message over the micro transceivers the two picked up. << Sub Vocal, Micro transceiver>> Rodger that I'll call him now. <<END>>>

Mantis Calls Dunks Comm. Then asks him What's your estimated time of arrival?   Mantis sheilds his lighter to the best of his ability as he fires up his death stick hoping to calm his nerves down before he hopefully hits the sea for a better boat ride then last time.

I'll see to it, summoner.
The engine comes closer, a rattly old diesel powering a large articulated lorry. The lorry hurtles through the marketplace with its cargo of live pigs, or sheep or something (it was hard to tell in this light), sweeping the area with its massively bright lights before disappearing down the road out into the open country past the fuel stop.
//Ah, was hoping you lads would call soon, fucking bored out 'ere. I take it ye found 'er then? Great. I'll torch the ol' girl and head in. shall be aroun' 20 mins or so walk back inte toon. Ye still doon by tha' harbour?//

Knives creeps back up the dock holding his sore midsection with his good arm.  Slowly he sneaks back up the stairs to his awaiting teammate.  "Oy mate.  Did ya ring him?"  Seeing the glow of Mantis' cigarette he retrieves and lights his own, making sure to keep his body between the ember and the office.

Mantis finishes up his talk with Dunk << Sub vocal>> Ya I'm still very near where you dropped us off at, Knives took a stroll for a closer look. << END>>

Once finished with Dunk Knives transceivers Knives << Sub Vocal>> Our Driver is about 20 minutes out I'll let you know when he gets here. Keep frosty. <<END>> Mantis keeps any eye out for Dunk and hide himself for on lookers or at least tries to blend into the environment.

You rest your weary and bust-up bodies up against the stone railing seperating the edge of the market square from the cliffside overlooking the harbour and struggle against the prevailing wind to get your cigs lit, wrapping up in your coats and clothes as best you can to minimise the effect of the cold on your skin.
It wasn't too bad when you were doing stuff, but now you were just stood around, it was bloody freezing!
Traffic remains almost non-existent, another couple of lorries pass through, blaring music and lights as they head out onto the back-roads. Ducking out of their line of sight provides the only real relief from the boredom of waiting, though you soon get to talking about getting back to the Old Smoke and what you were going to do once you got back.
Flicking through the sports section on your commlink, you see that 'Spurs got smashed 3-0 at home by West Ham and Knives guffawed, knowing thaq jimmy would be out of pocket by at least a tenner.
The town clock sounds 2am before you see a sight of Dunk, walking down a side street back towards the Market square.
He looks a bit shook up and dishevelled as he crosses the empty road and looks around the market square. He looks right through the pair of you, clearly not seeing through your veil and heads towards the stairs down to the harbour, clearly cautious in keeping the noise from his footfall as low as possible.

Knives nods to Dunk as he approaches.  When he walks right past the pair Knives speaks up, "Dunk you alright mate?  Where you going?"

It takes another second to register why Dunk walked pass them and he says to Mantis, "Oh yea, have your spirit turn off the mojo."

"Kinda.  I found the boat, looks right posh.  I figured we would hang around here until it's time or we get more instructions.  Though we've still got over an hour to kill.  I wonder if we could scrounge up some food first..."
