"I think I'll live mate, the drugs helped a lot.  The meeting is at 6pm.  Mantis is right about the disguises but the nanopaste ones are reprogrammable so extra isn't really necessary long as one of us has a decent edit program.   Since we know all the buildings are about the same height we can scout for thermo signatures from the edge of the area so in case we have more rooftop foul ups we won't be in the middle of enemy territory."  Knives looks to Mantis, "Some spirit support would be brill long as you know how to keep the bloody thing hidden and quiet."

Pavel laid on a fairly decent spread of sandwiches and finger food. Clearly you guys weren't going to be fed like kings while smith wasn't around, but hey; it was real bread, none of the soy imitation shit you were used to back home.
As you finished up your helpings of coffee and sarnies, the large clock in the hallway chimed three times signalling you didn't have long before the shopping trip

"Hey Pavel is it ok to run a few trix searches from here?  Nothing shady just looking for the big power consumers in the target area."

Assuming Pavel says it's ok setting my agent to search public records for power use in the area and marking them down on map.  I'll also throw in a roll for gangs in the area.

Pavel waves his assent at you as he leaves the room, Use se nacional grid and I don't care.

The search for big power consumers draws you very little useful information.
An outdated public utilities site draws references to general utilities usage compared to more affluent districts of the city, but nothing useful.
Many of the results came back in French and were undecipherable to you.
The gang search brought more luck however. A travel blog dated six months ago mentioned a documentary that was made a few months prior to the post by a polish journalist,
investigating gang culture in cities across Europe. It appears to be called: wojny gangów.

The afternoon lingers on, each of you resting up, reading up and getting showered after the morning's exertions.
Before too long, you all piled into the smelly old junker again, Knives taking the back bench seat, Mantis riding shotgun and Dunk at the wheel.
The school run had obviously just started, a mix of luxury SUV's with expensively dressed mum's at the wheel clogged the small country road at each junction, each glaring at you for having the audacity to drive something so ugly and cheap in their shiny and clean suburban paradise. You guessed they'd pass you off for hired help as domestic staff for one of the other residents of the area.
Passing the ostentatious private school 10 minutes down the road, you begin to hit bigger roads. Pavel's directions held true and you were soon heading out to an old industrial estate, turning off the main road onto a ramshackle, potholed street lined with decrepit light industrial units.
Dunk swung the car around the worst of the holes, pulling up outside unit 7 as directed.

you are parked in a large courtyard between two rows of small warehouses, each with a large steel shutter closed over the front aspect. a smaller, man sized door gives access through the larger shutter.
The area clearly hasn't been used in a while, the old redbrick buildings sport a collection of signs advertising the company names in peeling old-style paint, each looking weather worn and battered. The sign above unit 7 is, as far as you can tell in pigeon french, for an automotive garage.
Ancient, half rotted tires are piled up against the prefab concrete wall lining the borders of the courtyard re-enforce the sign's history.
The time now is 14.58 and the appointment is at 15.00

Knives steps out of the backseat and lights up a smoke.   He looks around keeping his eyes peeled for signs of their meet or any unexpected guests.

Damn fine roll!
Let's throw in a Security Design roll to find a good spot to defend if things go wrong.

awesome roll, you practically see through time and space with that one!
As you study the building, something about the gable of the roof catches your eye.
Dialling up the image enhancement and zoom factor, you can just about make out the reflected glare of the sun off a concealed camera.
It was incredibly subtle, but it was definitely there. You could sense that it would be able to cover most of the courtyard and the approach to the doorway and would have captured your arrival in the courtyard.
You realise that you were effectively in a dead end, the small entrance road would serve as an efficient bottleneck, but it could work just as well against you as for you dependent on the direction of attack.
The best escape route you could see would probably be over or through the ancient prefab concrete slat-walls. The slats were angled in such a way as to create a natural ladder and the old junker should be able to dislodge the slats from their housing if it got up to speed.

"Smiles mates we're on camera.   Stay frosty but let me do the talking. Let's get the gear and get back."  Knives quickly sucks down his cigarette then puts it out and places the butt in his pocket.

Mantis fallows Knives keeping him and Dunk in front of him, this of course helps Mantis keep the whole team under his spell defenses that he always has in place for the three runners. Mantis Joins Knives in a smoke pulling hard on his smoke he tries to get as much in his lungs before he will crush it out on entering the building. Camera's great at least this guy is suppose to be an ally. Mantis is now wishing he had taken the time to learn how to shot a gun. Back in the smoke he knew most didn't pack guns, when they did johnny law was always a big concern. Here in France Mantis was not to sure on the law but knew he has a scar to know some pack guns and the big slug type. Lets see how much of our list we can check off.

At exactly 3pm you hear a metallic "clunk" as the locking system on unit 7's smaller door disengaged.
Dunk flashes his eyebrows at you guys as he heads to the door, hand hovering over his hip holster in case the shit hit the fan.
As you approach the door, a small bald man opens it and beckons you in in a thick french accent.
allo,allo. com in, please.
The darkness of the small entrance gives way to a small and weak pendant lamp hanging from the old corrugated steel roofing. It casts a weak pool of light over an ancient looking trade counter in a small room at what was obviously the front of the building. A heavy security door runs off to the right of the small trade counter area, off to where the main bulk of the shutter would be for the loading bay.
On the far side of the desk, stacks and stacks of storage racks extended into the inky blackness of the far reaches of the warehouse. Thousands of cardboard boxes littered the various racks.
The bald man re-appears through the warehouse on the far side of the trade desk and points to the obvious camera covering the room you're standing in.
Do not be stupid, friend. Camera sees all. Now, what can I do for you?

Knives pulls up his list, "Right right we ain't looking for trouble just a few items."  He tosses a datachip on the desk in front of the bald Frenchman.

Datachip contains the list.
Thermovision binoculars with vision mag
3 small containers nanopaste disguises
Wire Cutters
Miniwelder
1 pair Gecko gloves

He looks at you sternly, examining the chip before inserting it into an ancient looking commlink.
He paws at the mucky display; tutting, nodding and muttering at each item on the list.
Zis, I sink ve can do. Five minoot, please.
He gestures at you to wait where you are as he disappears into the blackness of the warehouse....

The bald man returns nearly 10 minutes later clutching a huge, heavy looking box.
I no can do binocular du thermal, goggle ok?
He gestures to an ancient-looking set of industrial goggles as he lays the items out on the counter, zoom optics visible on the right lens and a universal datajack on the left side of the frame.
Zey are pretty good, you try?

Knives eyes the old goggles suspiciously,  "Yea I'd fancy a test."  He puts them on and plugs them into a burner com, he tries all the settings making sure the old tech is up to snuff.
