Knives perks an eyebrow at the question. "Yea I know...  We're about 50 miles from shore, that way."  He points off in the direction he remembers the shore being.  "What, is she gonna swim?  That's fuckin daft...  What's the deal?  Is that all she said?"

Then Mantis told Knives the whole conversation the two had just had bring Knives and Dunk up to speed on the spirit translated conversation. The whole time he was tell his two mates of the talk Mantis keep his eyes on the awakened lady still not sure how's side she was on, odds are she is not n enemy but standing there with a hole in his leg Mantis was not going to turn his back on her yet. Mantis also has his counter spelling abilities active keeping him and his two runner allies under it's effect just to be salt.

"Bloody hell, how many birds they got on this boat?  I always heard they only take two.  I didn't sign up for this drek...  There better be a good explanation for this."  Knives' fingers drum nervously on his hilt, waiting to hear what the captive woman has planned.

Having finished your story, she looks at the other woman, gesturing for her to follow with a nod of her head.
She strides forward purposefully, doing her best not to be unbalanced by the rocking motion of the boat.
Summoning her strength, she tries to push past you, heading up onto deck

___Lumen___
Tattooed girl looks almost dissapointed as you step aside, allowing her past with no resistance. She eyes your hand wavering at the ready near the hilt of your fineblade, her eyes indicating the processes whirring in her mind. She was smart this one.

__Mantis___
The other girl reluctantly followed on, clearly undecided who represented the safer option.
In this case, experience won out and she followed the tattoed girl up the stairway and out into the maelstrom outside.

___Both____
You looked at each other awkwardly, not entirely sure what just happened was for the best, but too tired and exhausted to summon up the effort to do anything about it. Wearily you headed back down the bloodied corridor, half-tripping over the slotted corpse as a huge wave send the craft reeling.
You all slam painfully into the left side of the gangway, groaning with the effort of pushing yourself away and back onto your own two feet.
Reaching the ladders down, you unseal the bulkhead, spinning the heavy wheel and standing back as it creaked noisily open under the rocking motion of the waves.
Knives took point, swearing under his breath as he braced his shoulder wound against the strain of loading his weight on it.
The pumping music  from the crew deck died down into the steady rythm of an old and chugging diesel engine. Mantis took the middle and Dunk brought up the rear, awkwardly shoving the shotgun into the straps of his backpack to free his arms up. It clanged and clattered loudly off the metal work as he shifted his weight from rung to rung
It stank of fuel, oil and sweat down here and you could hear some seriously shit, out of tune signing as you descended the short ladderway.
It stopped you in your tracks as you paused to listen.
Barely a foot and a half separated your feet from the open door at the bottom of the stairway and a weak orangey light spilled through from the engine room.
It looked like you'd be in the open for at least a little while as you alighted the ladder.

___Lumen____
You pause to listen to the singing, trying to make sense of the moving indicator drawn into you AR feed from your spatial recogniser.
It seemed like the singing was coming from off to the right of the doorway, judging by the echoes, it was coming from a reasonable distance away.
Deep in thought, Mantis' right boot connected heavily with your head.
You grunted in pain, shocked at the strength of the blow.

The engines thrummed merrily below you and you focussed your strength and attention on retaining a good grip on the ladders, given how much of a kicking the sea was giving to this boat.
It was fairly treacherous and where you expected to meet another rung, your boot impacted onto Knives' head. You looked down, trying to see what had happened, why Knives had stopped so far up the ladder and struggled to get your footing back onto the ladder as the boat rocked past the midline.
Your arms burned with the effort of trying to relieve your wounded leg of your bodyweight, scrabbling with your good leg for a rung whilst trying not to kick Knives again.

___Lumen___
You manage to hold on, despite Mantis' heavy footwork and the headache that was necessarily going to follow, but it became readily apparent that Mantis was going down.
His good foot searched frantically for purchase as the rocking motion pulled his body away from the ladder. You looked upwards with growing horror as his bad leg gave way and his hulking frame began to accelerate towards you.
Pulling yourself into the ladder, you engage your gecko gloves and hope for the best.
He slams into you and lands loudly with a bang in a heap at the bottom of the ladders. Dunk looked down at you with horror on his face as the singing stopped.

___Scawire____
Search as you might, you just couldn't get a purchase on the ladder as the boat reeled from the passing of another huge wave.
You swore with frustration as your bad leg gave way underneath you, your fingers releasing their grip one by one on the worn metal ladder.
It felt like you moved in slow motion as you desperately grabbed back at the ladder, but you were already accelerating towards the floor and no amount of stretching could get you out of the shit now.
You hit Knives on the way down with a solid thud, clanging your body against the limits of the ladderway before crashing heavily to the ground, arse first.
Your momentum carried you backwards and you smack your head onto the cold metal grilled floor.
Opening your eyes, the world took a second to come back into clear focus.
You were looking upside down into the room, head sticking out of the stairway and into the engine bay.
Two huge compartments filled the centre of the room, Holo-terminals, status displays and various cabinets full of tools and various parts lined the outside of it.
The layout very rapidly became less interesting however, your attention was drawn to a startled looking ork staring at you, upside down from your perspective.
He was dressed in greasy looking cover-alls, a heavy wrench in one hand and a lump of machinery in the other. His weight shifted from side-to-side expertly with the rocking of the waves, clearly totting up the events that led to a random bloke landing in the engine room that shouldn't be there.
It clicked for him and he began to move....

"Fuckin' 'ell!"  Knives cursed as Mantis' boot came down hard on his head.  His face turns red as he quickly descends the remaining distance.   *Don't stab him.  It was an accident.*  He takes a few steps out and notices the technician.  *Bollucks, just our luck.*  With the flick of a wrist his taser flies to his hand and a dart is loosed towards the unfamiliar ork.

The taser bolt slams right into the Orks' chest, crackling as it discharged 50,000volts into his body. he twitched uncontrollably and fell to the floor, his wrench clattering behind on of the engine canopies.
You hear Dunk's heavy landing at the bottom of the ladder and turn to see him drag Mantis back up to his feet.
Ye alreet pal?

Mantis stands back up with the help of Dunk. Bloody hell, I guess I can't say I got cat like reflexes on my resume. Mantis looks over at the ork, good thing the team didn't split up. If I get off this boat alive I don't want to set foot on one for some time. Lets see what the ork is packing. Mantis limps over to the ork favoring his good leg to rifle through the orks pockets.

Seeing the ork drop like a sack of bricks Knives heads over to the door to the cargo hold.  He backs up against the wall and tries to listen in.   Hopefully this time he wouldn't get a boot to the head for his efforts.

Your audio enhancement amplifies and filters the background hum of the engines out and concentrates on the sounds of sobbing and low conversation rattling around in an echoey chamber. Its hard to get a fix on how many voices you could hear, the echoes playing havoc with your spatial recogniser.
You knew there were multiple males due to the varyiation in freqeuncy. more than two but probably less than four you figured. A couple of female voices in there too, mainly sobbing.

__Scawire___
The Ork's pockets were full of a mixture of random crap for the most part.
A battered and tatty looking commlink the only thing of any real value and even that wasn't worth much. A selection of parts, screws and hand tools made up the bulk of the stuff his overalls held, a well used credstick with 3creds on it the only other item of note.

Knives whispers in to his subvocal mic, <Heads up mates.  We've got at least two, probably three, soon to be hostiles in the cargo hold.  You want me to take them down the fast way or the clean way?>

Mantis decides to leave all the orks gear alone, nothing worth the trouble. Well Mate I think we best try and keep this quick don't want too many bells telling everyone we are on the prowl. You decide what will be fastest. Give me just a second. Mantis decides even in his hurt state the team might like a new spirit to help out. Mantis directs his mind to the realms of the spirit and tries to get a small helper to show up.

As Mantis does his best to direct his will to the realm of the spirits to get some help on this storming of the cargo haul the seconds tick by and wave after wave of spirit directed mana surges at Mantis, luckily mantis has trained hard at keeping mana from back-lashing on him. The seconds continue to tick by then Mantis shakes his head. Limping over to Knives Well Lad seems we don't get any spirit wing men on this one. I'll fallow your lead. Bloody hell the spirits are unwilling to help me today, must be the whole boat thing, I really don't like these floating death traps.

<You got it mate.>  With his free hand Knives draws his fineblade.  He gives a nod to Mantis and Dunk making sure they are aware and ready.  Once they confirm he takes a quick peak in the room before beginning his assault.
