Flea hops up into the cab of the van, slotting the seatbelt home with a satisfying *clunk*.
She checks her TMP's chamber and loads a clip, flashing Lynx an apprehensive smile. Ok, lets go.

As you meet at the gate the rush hour is just about starting and the foot traffic through the park is building up.
the professor is due any minute.....

It's not long before you spot the professor despite the heavy foot traffic he can't evade your steely gaze, there is no sign of his 'usual escorts' and the professor is clearly aware of this and is obviously on edge not sure what is going on.

Your hermit friend is sat in his usual spot feeding the squirrels waiting patiently to deliver your message to the professor. As the professor approaches they talk a while before the hermit points over to the gate where you are waiting. Given the ambient noise you aren't able to hear the conversation.

You know why you can't see the handlers they have decided to use the perch that you had been using previously your actions are being watched. you also notice a few clips on the trid screen surrounding the area, it clearly shows a police chase underway. and by the looks of the street it is heading your way, which is confirmed by the feint sound of sirens in the distance.

There are four vehicles in the chase, one is a big SUV and is being shot at by some gangers in a pickup, they are being followed by two police vehicles making sure it stays under control but at the same time keeping their distance.

Lynx, they're on to us. They're up in the perch I used yesterday

"Fuck.  That means they saw Gulliver point.  Do you remember any blind spots from that vantage point?  Or better yet any way you could block the spotter's communications?  We are going to have to think of something quick."

Lynx's face scrunches with concern. *If we have to use the kid's distraction for a spotter that limits our getaway options. *

Icer takes note of the eyes up high and starts to run through plan ideas on how to get out of this with as few bullet holes as possible. I just wish I had more memories of runs to pull from to figure this out with. Icer being new to the team and more of the grunt taking orders he waits to see what the group decides.

No, It was a pretty good vantage point, the view was obscured slightly by the foliage, but any decent imaging kit can account for that.
Looking at the screens, an idea popped into her head
If that chase is heading where I think it is heading, then it might just give us a few seconds of distraction

"Chase?" Lynx had been too focused on the target to notice the trid displays but now finally takes notice. He strokes his beard,  "That could work. What are you thinking?  I doubt the chase alone will be enough to distract them from their charge.  Or if we move quickly we could use the chase to help cover our escape. "

Personally I'd rather abort. We've lost the element of surprise. They've got the high ground and no doubt have people placed in the park waiting for us. This has got "gangfuck" written all over it, pardon my french.
The chase might provide a momentary distraction, enough maybe to cover the ground to get to him but probably not enough to do the full job and get out of here. Now our cover is blown, what's the harm in sending him a message through Icer's mojo, or maybe I could leave something for him on his home node or commlink?

Lynx lets out a long sigh, "I hate to admit it but you are right my friend, at this point we should abort.  The kid said he would have to be looking for it to get the mojo message so we go for the tech solution.   Leave him a message,  something cryptic."  He wracks his brain trying to think of a way to salvage the mission without waiting days for the heat to die down, "Maybe we could approach at the university.   Better legit security may keep the tails a bit further back."

To Icer <Just hang tight kid.  We are on standby. >

Ok, lets go for a drive, see if we pick up any tails. Take a pretty obscure route, nowhere near the University to begin with
Flea pulls up an AR terminal as Lynx pulls the van away smoothly.
She calls up her username file and attempts to connect to the Prof's node using the credentials she scored on the previous run out.
Please work, please work!

[Lumen]

"Affirmative."  Lynx waits for an opening in traffic and pulls out heading the opposite direction of the university. "We need to tell the kid something but I do not trust communications when we are so clearly being watched.  Heh guess we shall see how he reacts for now."

Hang on, I'm going to set up a new encrypted channel and shut down our last one
Flea opens up her Encryption suite and adds Icer + Lynx to the channel

Icer puts on his bike helmet and fallows Flea and Lynx on the drive away from the park. Well that is a downer I guess I have to wait a bit longer for my pay check. Icer keeps behind his two new runner teammates. This best only be a postponement to the mission I need the nuyen to buy my way out of the last run that these guys convinced me to drop.
