It can be... Like in
"Me, Myself and Irene" when Jim Carrey says "you people" to the black, small person, limo driver. When he says it, he's talking about limo drivers. But the driver takes him to mean either "black people" or "small people". Comedy ensues.
Yeah, it don't sound as funny when you explain it...
