We could do SuperDeformed Runners, so big eyes/big headed short versions of runners on the cover (wait, doesn't CanRay look like that normally?)

Or replace the various races with quasi-animal humanoid forms like in Apocalypse Meow

Orc = Bears
Elf=Cats
Dwarf = Badgers
Troll=Elephant/Rhino/Turtles?
