Jimmy noticed Patch indicating he wants a private word, and figured it was as good a time as any to get commcodes passed around.  He tossed up an ARO with his for Patch and Magpie's benefit.  "Think you can forward the data to me, Doc?"  Left unsaid, of course, was that they could also have their private discussion this way.

Seeing the shark's active ARO he quickly noted the comm code and sent a copy of all the infrmation  he had found on the Coopers.

- SHARK

I'm going to head off and back to the clinic.
Need to get my link as this one is just slowing me down.

I would appreciate it if you dropped in later as I have a secure link for our Mrs J.
I just don't trust other peoples comms to be secure, especially someone so green to this world.

<mapsoft file attached>
The file includes direcions to the clinic a few blocks away.
After a suitable pause Alexander stands in his and announces his intentions with his tiredness getting the better of him. right then chummers, I'm calling it.  Will catch you all later. May I suggest we meet at my surgery at 0800 to get ready for the funeral. Its just a few blocks from here.

Leaving the bar nodding to and thanking both the troll security and barman as he left he turned up the lapels on his greatcoat and headed out into the druggery of the stimied weather for the short walk back to is clinic.

Noticing his comm beeping in his pocket, Magpie took it out and saw the 'friend request' from Shark, so he added the Face and then the others when they all exchanged codes.

"Probably need to invest in goggles" He thought to himself. Still, it was good to have someone who could see the real world. Not just the world that the corps wanted everybody to see. Sure, it may be a lot more dull, but he had his own means around that which didn't really on technology. Nevertheless, it was useful to have the option.

"I better get off too. I've got some home-grown cantaloupe I want to eat before they go off." He grinned. The foods weren't the real priority, however. The Johnson and her dad reminded him that he had his own daughter; he was going to send her a comm message if he could get the signal at home. You never knew when someone would up and murder you.

Alright guys, if we're wrapping up for the night then I'm going to head home via the funeral parlour, see if I can get the lay of the land. See you in the morning.
Kinkou added all the contacts to her "team" list, bade everyone farewell and headed out through the busy crowd. It sounded like the band had wrapped up but the crowd was still lively, forming a mass of people two-to-three deep at the bar.
The night air came as a relief to the sweaty crush of the bar, a slight breeze tugging at Kinkou's hair as she headed over to her bike.
She punched in the address details, popped her helmet on and headed off to the funeral parlour.

"Eh, omae." Magpie addressed Kinkou.

"If you're headin' out to the funeral home, you mind a bit of company? Figure the smart money's on checking out the Astral roun' there. Make sure there's no unpleasant surprises fer me if I try an' waltz in tomorrow.

@Patch

You exit the bar, the air still moist and small puddles lining the streets. Your short trip back home is uneventful and you make your way to bed promptly.

Later, at night, you get woken up by the doorbell. An AR display shows you it's the same human that has been coming to see you for about 2 months now. "Come on doc, my back hurts real bad. I really need some meds, please" says the man to the camera. You've suspected the man to be an addict, which is why you never took him seriously before, but the timing of this particular visit is unusual, even for him.

@Kinkou & Magpie

You put the coordinates on your bike and head out to the parlour. Under two hours later, clearly in a much better part of town, you arrive to your destination. The building is grim, as expected, but of a somewhat new-age design. This late at night, there doesn't seem to be anyone at work, but you are quite sure your bike's credentials have already been scanned half a dozen times in this neighbourhood.

Knowing that Doc Patch wanted to turn in, Jimmy opted to drop by his clinic first.  On his way out, though, he made sure to thank the bouncer and the bartender for letting them impose like that - thank them, and tip generously.  After all, he might want to use the back room there again some time.

Kinkou was glad for the spoof chip and morphing plate on the bike, this place was far too swanky to have your actual records on file.
She set the sensor feed to "record" as she drove past the parlor slowly, having a good look around as they made the first pass.

@Kinkou

You drive by the parlour, looking at the building and its surroundings. Whether it be from the darkness, from you driving a tad too fast or just from tiredness, you don't seem to notice anything out of place or particularly interesting except maybe a few security cameras here and there. But from the looks of the neighbourhood, it doesn't surprise you.

"Keep half an eye on me, 'case I slip." Magpie said from his position. He had ended up riding pillion after all. He didn't think he'd slip and he doubted Kinkou would let him fall. Still didn't hurt to be safe.

The Shaman rolled his eyes in the back of his head and they came back around glowing silver and he looked around the Astral planes for signs of anything of interest.
@ Magpie

You sit comfortably on the bike (or as comfortable as the second person can be) and you take a peek astrally. Looking at the funeral parlour, you see the place is lined with glyphs and seals, preventing anyone from going in, coming out or seeing anything through it.

So, the place had more wards than Bruce Wayne. Typical.

"I can't see a thing on the Astral, Kinkou." Magpie warned the adept.

"Not sure how typical that is for a funeral home, to be honest. Maybe they're scared'a ghosts or whatever tryin'ta leave, but what it means is if there is anythin' in there we wanna know about, i'd have to be in the home itself."

Yeah, I'm not getting much of use either. Fuck it, lets head home.
Kinkou pulled away smoothly, keeping the revs low so as not to wake the neighbours and headed for bed, dropping Feathers off on the way home.
