Loki looked at the grizzled man and thought about his answer for a second before replying.
"Not that I could tell, Chief. He's wired, for sure, and he's got some dermals and some skin grafts or something, all really high end so they barely even show, but I couldn't make out any breathing augs. Pretty sure I could easily drop this guy with a couple darts full of Narcojet, and nobody would be any wiser..."
He looked at the others before continuing.
"I'm worried about the kid, though. Unknown magical talent, unknown allegiance, somewhat dim at the very least, maybe just young. We definitely need some eyes on this guy before we make a move."
On his new and vastly improved commlink, he scrolled through the schedules again.
"Listen, I don't think the recital is a good idea. We should definitely try to get a hold of the fathers schedule, too, if possible. Ideally, we grab the kid at a time when he wont be expected somewhere for a good long time; school seems like the best bet to my mind. Scan this", he said, and grinned widely. "I could trade places with the mother during her lunch with Cenobia, don't ask me how, gotta have some secrets, cut the lunch short by claiming some sort of emergency and then direct the wife's car to the school where I'd pick up the kid. In the mean time, you guys pick up the real wife, tail the car from the school, at which point I'd probably need to sedate the kid and the guard and/or the driver. We make it look like the car crashed in a lake somewhere, even better if we can find some bodies to put in it, and hightail it outta town on the plane Siren provided."
Satisfied with his prelim, Loki sat back for a short while. "But this is all contingent on the kid not being some sort of prodigy. I also wouldn't mind getting a look at this guy's datastores; tech that doesn't impact magic? That's some seriously big bucks right there..."
