-Sosen Katana
Rising Sun’s flagship model, the Sosen Tachi (ancestor sword) is an induction-bonded, hand-layered katana made from atomically pure alloys joined under intense heat in a zero gravity induction furnace. The result is a stunning work of art that can be used to carve up the opposition in style.
>>>>>[Normally "induction bonded" means "hot-glued," but this is a very high quality blade. The balance is amazing! I just won't use it on a run; that pattern is extremely easy to see and very recognizable. If you take this along, you might as well walk in carrying miniguns and announce you're there to cause trouble.]<<<<<

-Sosen Tanto
The popularity of the Sosen Katana has given rise to a tactical knife to meet the demands of today’s elite small units. The tanto is geometrically designed to give maximum armor penetration on a thrust, and the 17.78x.56 cm blade is sturdy enough to support up to 135 kg—enough for even an Ork to hang from.
>>>>>[It is of the same quality as the katana, and comes with all of the drawbacks and less reach. A good combat knife does the same job for less money and doesn't come with a pattern everyone will remember.]<<<<<

>>>>>[It makes a good decoration piece or letter opener.]<<<<<

-Tropical Expeditionary Recon Armor
The number one source of fatigue in most of the world’s war zones is heat. Heat can paralyze a unit before it even reaches the combat zone and is compounded by the necessity of full body armor on today’s battlefield. Forrester’s TERA combines the latest in aerogel and body-powered heat recycling technology to create armor with active cooling to keep you cool and dry, whether you’re in the depths of Amazonia waiting to bag the big one or waiting in ambush under the dunes of Morocco in July.
>>>>>[I don't care about the combat capabilities! I think every one of us ordered one just for Missouri summers.]<<<<<

-Fusion Piton
Are you the only mountain climber on your team? Need to effect a rescue, but there just isn’t time to set proper equipment? Jungle Toy now offers a piton which gives you a handhold anywhere—period. The Fusion Piton injects a series of monofilament tendrils into a surface which then curl back in on themselves. The result is a handhold with clearance for a carabineer that will hold up to 800kg--guaranteed.
>>>>>[Aside from mountain climbing, these are incredibly useful when scaling a building you're about to break into. Or, in a pinch, for stopping your fall off a building. Or stopping your parachute from dragging you off a building due to wind strength.]<<<<<
-- SlowDeck
>>>>>[Wait. You know how to climb buildings?]<<<<<

>>>>>[I didn't before my last run. Learned how to stop my fall during the same run.]<<<<<

Nanochute – This hermetically sealed package is about the size of an early 21st century fashion magazine and is deployed by pulling a loop at the top, which explosively deploys the carbon/sillicate chute. To be used correctly, a nanochute’s rating should be equal to the Body of the character + 1 per 20kg the user is carrying. Note that the costs for metahuman use is already factored into this cost. Exceeding the maximum body rating will shred the chute on deployment and will cause a silvery trail of disintegrating nanocloth as the user plummets to the earth. A nanochute is one use only, as the materials that compose it degrade quickly in air. For an extra ¥600, a piece of clothing or armor can be modified to contain and conceal the nanochute, along with discrete straps to handle the weight of the metahuman wearing the armor.
>>>>>[The controls can be a bit unusual, but this is a very good parachute. Just watch weather... Silicates can be somewhat fragile where it comes to acid rain. If you think you may face acid rain and your target is a building, carry some fusion pitons and climbing gear. Just in case.]<<<<<

>>>>>[I didn't know acrophobics could parachute. Where the frag have you been running?]<<<<<

Monosilk
Monosilk is a fabric made from insulated monofilament that is sandwiched between two sheets of more common fabric. This typically takes the form of an upper body garment or muffler. Monofilament whips and garrotes have trouble slicing through monosilk, though other kinds of projectiles and blades penetrate them without incident.
