O'Connor took a seat towards the back near Clem. He whispered to keep the techs from overhearing, "So now what? Our lead on Bacchus was a bust and I didn't exactly get a good look at the guys that attacked us."

Clem turned her head towards O'Connor and said "I have no idea. I'm still trying to figure out why the attackers pinned us down and just left without taking anything. It just doesn't make any fraggin' sense to me. Unless they simply wanted to leave us stranded and late for spmething..." The ork then looked at her shut down commlink and wondered if this virus had anything to do with it. She didn't care much for the Matrix, but couldn't ignore the fact that someone was actively following them through the digital space. Stalkers, ambushes, dead trid stars... It seemed their enemies were much more influential than a banger with a weekly Matrix show.

O'Connor nodded in agreement, "Right? Still can't wrap my head around that one either. They had us, so why ain't we dead?" He shrugged, he had as many answers as Clem. He continued, "Since they didn't deep six us, we have to assume that they only wanted to delay us. So, why?" He racked his brain, but couldn't come up with a satisfactory answer. He gave a heavy sigh, "Well neither of us is exactly the brains around here." He turned back towards the others, "Hey, team meeting!"

Sammy had put herself as comforable as possible into the seat and was dozing off when O'Connor called for a team meeting.  She jolted upright.
"Huh, what, something happening?"

One of Snow's first actions after getting the bus in motion is to shut off all wireless for the bus.  She takes her time driving, keeping a low speed and doing her best to get the feel of the vehicle and watching out for barriers, magical or otherwise.  She has been encouraging Crenshaw and Tommy to explain more about what they had found out about the virus and any possible cures.  When Con calls for the meeting, Snow says over her shoulder, "Hey, can you hold that meeting up front?  I am driving this thing and have disabled the wireless capability to prevent it from getting the virus and maybe going all crazy on us, so no autopilot.  Or just give me the details later if you want to hold it in the back."

"I'm in favour of doing things here," Sammy said from her seat right behind the driver, "then I don't have to move."
Whatever they want, she didn't add, still not completely up to speed.

Tommy, very grateful to be out of the driver's seat, described what he found about the virus, "The overall course of the program seems to be one of behavior modification, towards what is generally considered to be coloquially 'good' behavior.  It becomes increasingly more invasive as it's 'suggestions' are ignored or refused in an effort to do it's job.  At a certain point, it seems like the program will just give up on the host though and turn available resources outward in an effort to warn others away from the host, this 'Undesirable' tag." He points at Bacchus.

"I am not sure what triggers the final version of the program, but once it has activated there is very little that can be done beyond a complete reset, and it is very obtrusive.  The triggering event could be a general pattern of continued behavior or a single offensive act, but once triggered it is basically like having someone following you around screaming at the top of their lungs what a horrible person you are. Very distracting and impossible to hide with or hide from."

"I have some 'bots out investigating some leads, but...." he looks distracted, then goes full VR without any warning.  Crenshaw looks apologetic "He is great at tech, but not really good at manners, like a raccoon really, he may be gone for hours."  Hearing Snow being paged he offers to take over for her, "I think I can keep us on the road, gas is on the left, correct?"  he jokes.

Snow slows the bus to a stop then stands to let Crenshaw in.  She gives him a quick peck on the cheek as he passes by her.  "Funny Ha Ha.  Just keep us on the road and drive slow.  What you saw of the cars back there was from a mojo barrier that suddenly appeared in front of us on the highway.  We don't need a repeat of that if we can avoid it."  Snow then moves to sit across from Sammy and check out the mage's wounds as they wait for the rest to congregate.

O'Connor gave Sammy a rather annoyed look, "I'm sorry Starlet, I didn't realize you were the one that got gut shotted or electrocuted. Oh, wait. You weren't." He left several further comments unspoken.

Snow gives Con a surprised look. as she finishes checking on Sammy.  "Hey, I thought it was a good idea for her to sit up front where I could watch her better.  You, too, for that matter.  Now sit and let me check on your wounds, too.  She waits for Con to take a seat then checks his bandages to see if he has done any damage to himself, then motions to Clem and Sam as well.  "I can listen while we talk, so don't wait for me to finish checking all of you out."

The ork was reloading her firearms when the group decided to convene in the back. At Snow's motion, Clem just waved her off, saying "I'm fine." She then sat straight and simply asked "So what now?" to no one in particular.

Sam shrugged. "He's the one who wants to talk," he said, poking a thumb towards O'Connor. "Near as I can tell, we don't have much left. Our best lead came up dry, and is lucky to not be bleeding out right now. We don't have anything good to tell the Johnson, and we just got our asses handed to us on a platter by some pros who seemed more interested in delaying us than finishing the job, though I have no idea why that'd be."

O'Connor stayed where he was, and ignored Snow's request that he come up front. He nodded at Torley's summation, "Basically what Clem and I were going over. So, for a lot of reasons, we need to track these guys down. Question is, how? Sammy can you track the mage? And/or Snow can you do anything to find the rigger?"

"I can recognise his aura, should I see it again," Sammy said, "tracking him via the astral is possible, but it will take some time, even with spirit help.  Of course, I can start from the island, but still, it's going to take some time.  But I'm more worried about that virus and the tag we have on our systems.  We need to find a way to get rid of that quickly."

Snow shakes her head.  "Not at this juncture, I am afraid.  I do not trust my implants enough to try anything.  This virus is really fragging my abilities.  Our techie friends here say that it looks like a complete shutdown and system reset is going to be required."  She looks over at Crenshaw, "Say, do you know if the virus is affecting others or just us?"
