Shadowrun 5 and wireless are very incomplete. For instance, my Gecko gloves and Staff are wireless. When they are connected to wireless,  I can control them with free actions. It never made sense to me as my commlink still requires input. I have a subvocal mic to give commands to my wireless. "Gecko release", "Staff extend", etc.

Pfft.  I've got a lot of ways I want to try using trid phantasm to make enemies think they're the ones in a bad way.  Hell, if we're really in a bad way, I can throw a high enough Force one to make it look like a couple of Northrup Wasps have showed up to the party.

true. as long as im in the truck, i can run a direct wire connection and not worry bout security, but if i'm controlling it remotely, i'll need the defense.

Also, i dont have my VCR on me, but i bellieve i can still slave the truck out to the commlink and control it like that, can't i?

Your VCR is internal (Cyberware) so you always have it. When you get out and enable wireless then it will need protection. I won't add my staff as if a hacker decides to collapse that, it just means the stick I beat them to death with will be much shorter.

You can do EVERYTHING with your truck just the way it is with what you have on you. You can jump in (the VCR dni kicks in for simsense), you can give it simple commands (the Gopher will carry these out using pilot as the "attribute" and any autosoft as the skill). I think you mean you don't have your RCC. RCC's are used to jack up firewall and such on your devices. It also allows you to install software and share that software across like drones without maxing out device limits.
