I'm fine tuning a campaign I wrote a little while back, getting it ready to go. As a general rule, I try to build a number of themes, play lists for campaigns.
What I'm looking for is your opinion on the following list of soundtracks, even the odd album. If you know them, that's great, if you don't, I recommend you listen to them. I'm biased, but I do like them for a number of reasons.
My goal has to been to collected a number of sounds, from some very grungy, mechanical, industrial, through to more classical, instrumental tunes.
The short list is currently;
Deus Ex 1 soundtrack
Deus Ex Human Revolution soundtrack
Plethora and Timecode by MRDC
Watch Dogs soundtrack
Blade 1,2 and 3 soundtracks (more instrumental themes, fight music)
Emperor Battle for Dune, Harkonnen and Ordos soundtracks, (Harkonnen very industrial sound, Ordos, techno-ish, high tech labs)
Remeber Me soundtrack
Mirror's Edge soundtrack
Alien soundtrack, two disc version (exploring desolate areas, deep black sites, creep factor)
Kingdom of Heaven soundtrack (part of it does take place in Egypt, a black site)
Homeworld 1 (great themes, Swarmer battle music and Ghost Ship for hordes and weirdness)
Nexus: The Jupiter Incident (general lab/corp themes, some great mystery music)
What I'm after is another few options, I've already ruled out Blade Runner and a few others at the moment. In my mind, while enough time has passed, the sound is just too unique. I'm still listening to some Vangelis though, it's close to making the cut. I've also been given the idea of Metal Fatigue, a game from 2000, which is supposed to have very corporate faction involved. It might have some potential.
