Dogmeat:

She looked like a little girl, no more than 10.  He could not remain indifferent to the sight. He'll never have children not in his line of work; his life will end in a cloud of violence – someone will get him eventually and he already accepted that... But the child was so naive, so pure he just had to save her.

He shot a single shot, The feathered man just collapsed as if someone suddenly pulled out the plug. He did not even bleed; perceptive people could probably see that the bullet hit the back of his neck disconnecting his brain from his body killing him instantly.
It was a good shot… one down three more to go – need to be quick and clean about it they need to die before they understand whats going on.

[Saturday September 14th, 2075; Ruins of Graham, Puyallup, Seattle]

Ichirō heard his sworn enemy say, "Umm, I guess I'll take hide behind minions for a thousand," and reach for a weapon, even as the accompanying troll moved to put himself between Ichirō and his target.

A samurai must win the battle at hand before winning the war.

Ichirō steps towards the troll, places his base foot further away from his body, before dipping his upperbody down and back up in a "U" figuration. While he does this, his chest transfers from being over his back leg to being over his base leg. As Ichirō lifts his chest back upwards, he kicks up his back leg while launching off of his base foot. He connects with the Anahata, the Heart Chakra, that which the Gajin call the Celiac plexus. Energy from Ichirōs Qi is transferred from his body through the chakra point causing all of the troll's muscles to lock up in rigidity and he drops like a stone. The troll shall remain that way for quite some time.

The next obvious target was the troll  - seeing the troll falls down like a rock... dogmeat thought:
I must luckier then I thought - two down two more to go.
He thanked the spirits for sending in aid so quickly.  He wondered who that warrior that stood next to the troll was.

Watching his two companions drop, the remaining man dove toward the girl, tossing himself bodily atop both her and his fallen feather-festooned friend. He lay there for just a moment, and then the smallest movement from the girl - Ichiro could have sworn, there in the rainy dark, that it was a nod - and then the man rolled off of her and she rose to her knees. One hand she placed on the man Dogmeat had shot, and the other she held out in the direction of the sky, the clearing, the world in general.

A blinding light flashed, and she shrieked, "BEGONE!!!"

Whether he somehow knew he was in the crosshairs or was going to move anyway, once the little girl started doing her thing, the black-jumpsuited man was on the go. Dogmeat's shot bit into the turf where he had just been.

He ran off into the woods, weaving between trees while watching Ichiro, whose thown card he skllfully ducked. Then he dove into a dense thicket of undergrowth.

In the meantime, the Seer's right hand joined her left on the chest of the guy with the feathers in his hair, continuing her magic.

Dogmeat targeted the man  -finish him and free the spirit.   he thought as he shot a single bullet with impressive skill.  Sloppy... he actually doged that! dogmeat was surprised - he did not expect to miss - a skilled shot from an invisibile drone is usually an execution. The spirit magic seemed disturbing - but he could not even think about hurting her.
He liked that spirit - it is probobly bound by magic to behave like that.

It was a guessing game... guess who is hiding behind bush number one?  This time he fired a short burst just to be sure - the old dog knew that hitting the invisibile is an impressive feat. No wonder that guy is the one giving orders... he is definately sneakier than the average bear.  He respected him, and planed to give him proper burial if he happens to hit hard enough -  But it was unlikely.

Alicia, unable to see what was going on, entered the astral, and traveled to the spot outside, where she saw the Free Spirit's aura, and watched the Spirit perform Magic. What are yout trying to do? she asked the spirit.

As Dogmeat's drone sprayed lead at a diffuse heat signature in the underbrush, Alicia - indeed, the very essence of Alicia, untethered by fleshly hindrances - whisked its way to the scene.

The girl was there, but while her astral form was still that of a young female, her great power was apparent.

As was the great power of whatever object was now on her head. It shimmered with a power nearly as great as her own, but of a distinctly different flavor. And it sent crackles of energy like bonds of mystic barbed wire down the length of her small form.

When she responded to Alicia's query, all her former calm and poise were gone: "Please, I must save him!"

Alicia looked at the crow. She doubted it was part of the spirits actual Aura, and gathered up magical energy, and sent streaks of light towards the crown as she tried to dispel it.

Alicia's magical efforts may as well have hit a wall of FAB II-infused bricks. Null effect.

What was having a clear effect was the girl's efforts to heal the fallen man with the Amerind accessories - Alicia could see his aura strengthening by the second.

A dozen yards east, deeper into the woods, Dogmeat and Ichiro both saw their quarry break from his cover and flee. Obviously hurt, it would be easy for the oni to catch him.

Dogmeat thought: "So I did hit the invisible... what a mess so many shots". He targeted him again, single shot

Even as Dogmeat lined up his shot and commanded the rest of his drone pack to do the same, Cutter eased the nose of the T-bird up for a better view of the fleeing target and thumbed the red button on the right side of the steering column. A stream of lead streamed toward the wounded man, the path of hte bullets illuminated by bright tracers.

The man threw himself to the ground in desperation, only to be shot repeatedly in the head and torso by a succession of rotodrones.

And while Dogmeat was relishing the sight through his primary sensors, movement in one of his secondary displays caught his eye, and he saw two unidentified rotodrones diving down from the sky, spitting destruction on "him" as they came.

Closing in on the scene in time to see the death of his sworn enemy, Ichiro felt a series of punches land on his armor. The force of the blows from his invisible assailant threw him to the ground, and a split second later as he felt wet warmth spread over his skin beneath the venlar, and struggled to pull breath into painfully tightening lungs, he realized been shot. Playing back the last few instants of near falal time, he realized he'd seen a muzzle flash a dozen yards to his right.

Meanwhile, Alicia's ghostly form was watching the Seer's healing mana pour into the fallen Amerind. The dweomer was very strong, and the man was clearly recovering from terrible wounds in the space of a few heartbeats. And now, though his eyes were closed, his lips were moving rapidly, and she saw his own mana gathering force.

As much as that sent warning bells off in her mind, however, something else was more disturbing. The little girl that was the seer was not so little any more. Though the artifact on her head was apparently binding her to her physical state, it apparently did not limit the form that state could take. She was growing, and changing, and while the transformation was only now starting, it was clear it was not going to be pleasant.
