Or maybe I'm just catching up to you, since you've been around a while, and I just got into the forums a few days ago... ;)

I know, I know, they'll let anyone in here...

Well, the name Spooky fits with resurrecting the threads anyway.  :P  I wasn't trying to bust your balls, just giving you a friendly poke.  :)

That...  that sounds wrong.  I mean like a rib poke....

Alright now, just point on the plushie where Nami poked you.  ;)
Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?

Spooky, what do you do this pass? Shoot him with my thunderstruck gauss rifle. (Rolls)  8 hits. Does that blow his head off?

This went weird... Otherwise, welcome to the boards, Chummer.

Agreed. This looks like a 'training wheels' edition, that you can use to introduce someone to the setting, and then shift over to something like 5E or 4E. Like how D&D 5E is best used as training wheels for D&D 3.X.

Damage comps and orthoskin, as high as you can get them. Damage comps are better than pain editor because they let you track your damage, where pain editor makes gm track it. I value knowing when to run away and fight another day. And I know enough sneaky / mean / "you asked for it" gms to make pain editor dangerous.

For the record, if you have a biomonitor, you can just check your commlink to see what damage you've taken. My character just has it in a corner of his vision in AR. Whenever he gets hurt, it throws up an alert and he Heals himself (Stun Drain? Ha!).

You can't heal stun drain, so he might need to rethink that.

You can't heal any Drain, except by resting (or possibly Stim Patches? Haven't followed the discussions on that).

(Stim Patches technically don't heal, they only remove the damage from the monitor for a limited amount of time.)

The last I saw on Stim patches used to counter stun from drain, they will temporarily remove the stun damage, but when they wear off the stun damage comes back +1 and the important part is that the +1 is considered drain damage as well.

What is not clear is if you have stun from different sources, for instance 2 stun from drain, 3 stun from being punched in the face; Using a rating 3 stim patch, which stun is it applied to?  Will the +1 when it wears off be drain stun or do you avoid it because 3 of your stun was from being punched in the face?

Wow, I was really ambiguous.

Yes, I know I can't Heal Drain with Magic.

But I have a Pain Editor so Stun Drain is laughable when I do take it. If I even take any. With 12 dice from stats + 1 from Pain editor WIL boost + 2 centering means I resist 5 Drain on average. Even overcasting, I might not have all 7+ hits to be Physical Drain, so most of the time it's stun and I take a couple and keep on chugging like nothin happened.

It's small and cheap, but I really have to suggest a Sound Dampener, either as part of a cyberear set or just on their own.

A lot of Shadowruns involve a lot of loud noises inside a building (like, say, gunfire!), and replacing your hearing constantly is a major pain.

As a GM, I took out a Troll Tank character build using just sound.  (Well, Flashbangs.  Lots of Flashbangs.).

The same character took himself out with a bottle of purgative, so maybe I shouldn't brag about that...
