As a GM, would you alloy a Agent to use the Teamwork test rule (p.49) to help the decker. I personnaly think this is cool and this is the only way for a skilled decker to be able to chalendge hot host (rating 8+). Also, the agent take a program slot inside the deck wich is huge when you are inside host that can kill you because you have less slots for protection program.

Shadowrunners learn quickly that no one survives for
long on the streets by themselves. You have to function
as a group, and there are times when all members of a
team pitch in to help out on a job. Teamwork tests simulate
the effect of group members working together.
To start a Teamwork test, your group needs to choose
someone to act as the leader. All of the others serve as
assistants, and they should roll the appropriate skill + attribute.
For each assistant that scores at least one hit, the
relevant limit for the leader’s test increases by one. Additionally,
each hit the assistants make adds one die to
the leader’s dice pool. The most dice that can be added
to the test is equal to the leader’s rating in the applicable
skill, or the highest attribute rating if the test involves
two attributes. The leader then rolls their adjusted dice
pool and tries to beat the threshold for the test.
If any assistant rolls a critical glitch, then the leader
receives no adjustments to the relevant limit, in addition
to the regular effects of a critical glitch. A glitch prevents
that assistant from adding an adjustment to the limit.

Here's the mechanic :

Example 1
Decker : Send message to Agent, Matrix perception with me.
Agent : Roll 12d6, get 4 hits (give 4d6 to the decker and increases the limit by+4)

Decker roll Matrix perception : 14d6+4d6=18d6 [Data 5 +4=9]. Get 6 hits
Hidden icon : Logic + Sleaze, get 4 hits.
Decker see the icon

Example 2
Decker : Send message to Agent, help me to crack this host (hack on the fly)
Agent: Roll 12d6, get 3 hits (give 3d6 to the decker and increases the limit by+3)
Decker : Hack on the fly, Logic (8 ) + Hacking (7) + Agent help (3) + Code slinger (2) = 20d6  [Sleaze 7+3 from Agent] . Get 7 hits
Host rating 8, roll Rating (8 ) + Firewall (11) = 19d6, get 5 hits
Decker : Jump in, mark 1, +1 info on host
Jezz the matrix rule sucks..

I like the idea, but most Matrix Actions are Complex Actions. That means that you wouldn't be able to Send a Message to your Agent and then use another Matrix Action. I would probably houserule it to allow you to send that message for free, but by RAW, I don't think this can be accomplished in one Action Pass. I still think the idea is pretty cool.

Thanks 8Bit, I agree, the decker will have to send a message as a simple action and them complex for the roll. At the end it worth it and we want to be fair with the rigger that has to send a message as a simple to give orders to his drones.

Yeah I'd totally allow the teamwork test for Agents.  And Sprites too, though I think that using Sprites in this way is expressly stated somewhere.
Feel free to keep any karma you earned illicitly, it's on us.
