Olivier smiles for a moment at B.B.'s comment, "It's a truly epic tale about a man caught between two worlds....yes, well when we're done here we can all sit back and watch it on the big screen."  He looks toward Woofer and then Mercedes.  "I can assure you this is no game, or whatever game we were playing has now most definitely come to an end.  I know why you came here, but I just think that YOU really don't know why you came here.  Is it for money?  The thrill of the chase?  Out of a code of conduct?  A sense of duty?  A reputation perhaps which you feel you must maintain.  Well I can assure you, all these questions quickly become irrelevant when you learn the true reason we're all here.  But don't take it from me."  He paces back and forth with his hands behind his back as if he were a physics professor in front of a lecture hall.  Then he raises a hand and calls out toward the couch, "Isamu!  Tell our friends here what it's really all about!"

From the couch you see a teenage boy which you recognize as Isamu Argentis stand up and glare intently at you.  His face is an even more perfectly chiseled version of what is shown in the picture Germain Robinson gave you.  As soon as he stands up, before you can even react you hear a little screech from the shadows of the auditorium and the figure which was hiding runs toward him at full speed on all fours and crouches down next to the boy as if it were a dog happy to be at the feet of its master.  He pets the balding head of the creature and smiles rather sardonically as it whimpers and speaks to you in a cool clear voice, "Well Olivier over here would have you believe that life is about playing it safe, you know the whole...'the farther one travels the less one really knows' mantra.  But I don't know about that one friend.  I travelled quite a ways along this road to which brought me to Redmond and so far it's worked out pretty good for me!" and he breaks into a childish laugh.  "No, I think life is about hunger.  About REALLY wanting something.....and I must say, even though I had a crazy night last night, I'm still feeling pretty hungry.  I bet so is J.....aren't you boy!..."  He scratches the creature under the chin and makes a cute face as if he were talking to a puppy.

Olivier looks rather peeved by Isamu's response and nervously raises his voice a little at the boy,  "Now calm down my love!  Remember you are staying in my house and so you must behave according to my rules.  You went out last night?!....whatever.....but I want you to behave and let's at least hear these people out long enough for them to realize what they truly want."   To this Isamu just rolls his eyes in that way teenagers specialize in and finally says "Fine....but make it quick I want to get back to my movie.."

[OOC: Mercedes, if you are astrally perceiving then make an assensing test.]

@Walks:
Olivier looks over directly at you and you can tell he can see you as clear as day.

Assensing Test (7d6.hits(5)=1) [OOC: Yeah.... not so much.]

Mercedes watches everything unfold and realizes they are really, REALLY out of their depth here. Better keep him talking until we can figure something out... "Well, why don't you tell us more about what exactly is going on here? And what you've done to Jeshua."

Subvocal, "Oliver I believe can see me. Isamu may not be paying enough attention to have done so. Does anyone have a plan? I think we need to start the fight once we know what happened to Jeshua."
"Walking through walls isn't tough..... if you know where the doors are."
"It's not being seen that is the trick."

Olivier stays silent as Isamu responds, "Hey J, they recognized you!" with a smile.  "Actually I didn't do anything to him, neither did Ollie.  Jeshua brought this on himself.  He didn't want the gift....so Ollie decided to let him go while I was asleep.  Poor J didn't really make it too far, it's pretty unsanitary conditions out on those streets.  Must have gotten infected with the same thing all those homeless freaks out there got.  Oh well, when I woke up from my transformative slumber, J was already back and he decided he didn't wanna go back home so much anymore.  So here we are, me and my buddy."  He smiles and pets the little hair that's left on the the head of the thoroughly infected Jeshua.  "So you can't have him, because he's mine, and I'm having way too much fun teaching him exactly what it feels like to be someone's plaything the way he always considered me to be."

Olivier looks at Isamu a little jealously, "I don't know why you'd want to play with that filthy thing."

B.B. rolls his eyes up under his shades in response to the boy's answer to the question of "what it's all about" and turns to face Oliver.
"Well, when we go to chip-heads with our questions, we get what we pay for, don’t we?  Your vetting process boggles me, Mr. Sanon."

Brian winced visibly when Cynthia's voice came over his earbuds.  Hearing Isamu's response, he turned his head and shouted to her.
" Mystery solved!  Let's please not start another fight.  Just this once?  Call it a personal favor."

Looking up at the disheveled man, the sped up Gnome continued.
"Olly, I don't know if it's the meth-psychosis or what, but I want to be real with you right now.  Yeah, we didn't come here because of a game.  We also didn't play said game.  Just like the boy on the floor, we bought our answers.  They paid cash to beat your game, because Jeshua is a spoiled little shit who thought he could buy anything.  We paid our way with an imbecilic wake of destruction.  I... thought you might have figured that out by our sudden appearance and obvious armaments..  Which, by the way, I'm sorry about, you know with the disruptions.  I keep telling these guys, 'you can't un-kill a hooker!'  Anyway, I hope you don't mind too terribly much.  Consistency leads to predictability.  Evolution is a basic imperative. et cetera.  After all, when millionaire kids buy their way to your door, that is a paradigm shift.  Neh?"

@Mercedes:

You see that Olivier, Isamu and Jeshua are all awakened beings and appear to be dual natured but aside from that it is incredibly difficult for you to understand the patterns in their aura because they are incredibly foreign, especially Olivier's.

@Everyone:

Olivier looks at B.B. and seems to ponder what he just told him.  "I agree, evolution is a basic imperative and my 'vetting' process as you call it is exactly the way it's supposed to be to ensure just that.  It has been tweaked for decades now, updated constantly and all in place for one specific purpose....to assure a mutually beneficial relationship between two parties, Seattle and myself."   He seems to look off into space as if reminiscing on a time long forgotten.  "I used to be the greatest security decker, or as you call them now, hacker in the biz.  That's all it used to be about for me, being the best no matter the cost.  I was hungry for it, and then I made a stupid mistake one night here in Redmond.  Or what I thought at the time was a mistake.  I know Fastjack already informed you a little bit about what he learned from an old nemesis of mine, but he has no idea...no idea at all.  I let my curiosity get the better of me, and it's the best thing I could have ever done.

Then the hunger of infection came....the real hunger that cannot be satisfied and only brings with it even more hunger.  At first it was a curse, a cross to bear that forced me to flee the world and everything I had known.  I had lived in a bubble and suddenly that bubble burst.  After devil knows how many years, I began putting my sanity back together and slowly reshaping that bubble, this time to keep me in, not to keep the world out.  That quest is what led me here to where you find me now.  Simply by staying within the confines of these walls I have journeyed farther and deeper into every corner of the universe than I could have ever imagined.  It's no longer about being the best.  I am far beyond that.  It is merely about being."
  By now Olivier's eyes are closed in meditation and his lips are pursed into a little smile.

"But the hunger remained and I needed a way to satisfy it.  So I thought, why not put this hunger to some good use.  Why not feed off of those who needed to learn the same lesson I needed to learn?  So that has been my life for some time now.  I'm sure you were dying to know.....well even if you weren't, your legendary Fastjack sure is."   He opens his eyes and looks at you through his glasses which you notice actually have no lenses in them at all.

"So you want to take this creature people used to call Jeshua back home.  Well I'd say both these boys have learned their lesson that curiosity killed the cat and then from the ashes of that dead cat shall arise a radiant phoenix."  Looking over rather disgustfully at Jeshua he continues.  "Well at least Isamu did, but they got what they wanted, I got what I needed.  But that's merely incidental.  The real target who i've had my eyes on for quite some time now is soon going to learn the lesson of a lifetime."  Olivier pauses and closes his eyes again.

 "Germaine Robinson is about to get the wake-up call he always needed to get but nobody got around to doing it, and you, my friends, were hired to be the messengers.  You were hired to take this shell of an elf back to his fathers doorstep.  Then Germaine Robinson would learn the true cost of reckless ambition and would be set upon a journey towards redemption."   Again, he opens his eyes this time removing the frames of his glasses and rubs the bridge of his nose.

"At least that WAS the plan....but like I said, I myself am still learning about this universe of ours, and from the furthest most alien metaplane to the darkest most hidden recesses of the matrix, no being has ever taught me this lesson until I met Mr. Argentis over here."   He looks yearningly over at Isamu who merely looks straight forward with a stern look on his face, obviously quite upset.  Olvier continues, a light in his eyes shining like two little flames embedded in his irises. "I fell in love and now everything has changed.  It is HE who has taught ME a lesson!"  Isamu seems to almost be annoyed by what Olivier is saying and just tries to ignore it.

Ollie puts his glasses back on and finishes by saying, "So if you want to deliver this package back to Germaine Robinson, it is no longer of any consequence to me.  I most earnestly hope Germaine and Jeshua here can work things out.  However, I put it in the hands of my love to decide because who am I to rob something from him which he desires."  At this Isamu seems to soften but clutches the crouching Jeshua and pulls him in closer to his side.

"I think perhaps you've overestimated Mr. Germaine's ability to feel anything for another living being.  I'm still curious to find out how he might handle it though..."  Brian dropped his duffel to the floor and wiped his hands a little.

"Too bad, eh?  Might I offer a compromise?"  He bent over, unzipped the bag, fished around in it for a second and then stood up, producing an empty syringe from his med kit.  "Ta-da!  Part one."  With his other hand he reached into one of the tool pouches on his jumpsuit.  "...and part two."  His other hand emerged holding a pair of wire-clippers.  "I suppose part two still needs a plastic bag for the tip of the pinky to go into."

Jeshua's mind seems to be cognizant enough to understand what you meant and he jumps with a howl when he sees the clippers and cowers behind Isamu who glares at you.  "Are you crazy?  I'm not gonna let you hurt him much less take him away!"  His eyes look different as he becomes angered and you see fire deep inside of them as he stands there shielding his friend.  "You go back to Mr. Robinson and tell him whatever you want as long as he knows that J isn't going back."

Mercedes talks at Isamu, but aims her words at Ollie, "Isamu, I understand that you love J more than anything else in this world, but you have to understand that his parents are worried about him and want him to come back home. You have a new life here with Ollie, one that Jeshua doesn't belong in; he doesn't even understand what's going on. Let us take him home to his parents so he'll be safe and well cared for."

Isamu smirks coldly.  "Take a look at him.  Take a good look at him and tell me that he doesn't look like he belongs here.  Like I said, he belongs to me and he's quite happy and taken care of with me"  You see Jeshua peak out from behind Isamu and nod shyly.

"Hurt him?  I was just going to draw some blood.  DNA testing proves that it's his and that it's infected.  We spin a sad tale where Germaine thinks he's dead and, naturally, we couldn't bring his infected body back to Visteon due to the hazards involved ...not that he would be of much use to Germaine in his current state for covering his own ass, which is naturally his only priority.  But anyway, the clippers aren't for him, Isamu.  The clippers... are for you.  Or.. do you not want to stage your own death?  Personally, I've died every two years since I was seventeen.  I can't recommend it enough."
Brain turns back to Oliver.
"As to rights over the fate of Mr. and Mrs. Germaine Robinson, if that is still a priority for you, I'm willing to negotiate... privately."

Isamu looks over at B.B. and smiles while he asks for him to toss over the clippers.  "That's a good plan!!"  B.B. tosses them over and the boy catches them in the air.  He points out his pinky, puts the clippers right at the joint of the last bone, and then squeezes hard on them.  "FUCK!!....jesus fucking christ that hurts!!!" Blood squirts from the stump as the digit falls to the floor.  He raises his hand into the air and gazes with fascination at the blood gushing out.  Then you all of a sudden see the gushing taper off into a trickle and then stop completely.  Isamu gives you a look of feigned surprise as the little digit starts to reform and within a few seconds is as good as new while the coagulated blood simply flakes off into dust.

The little pinky tip on the floor simultaneously begins to erode and quickly evaporates into a mist which dissipates from your sight.  "Well isn't that a bitch!  Guess we'll have to think of something else!"   He bursts into a deriding laughter at his own joke that he thought was hilarious while he tosses back the clippers.  B.B. catches them and they are completely clean.

Isamu's face all of a sudden becomes very serious.  "So you die every two years....well little man, I die every second of every day little by little.  You don't seem to understand who you are speaking to my friend.  If Olivier doesn't want to feast on your soul because he's too much of a coward since you aren't a willing victim, then I have no use for you so just leave this place empty handed and find another line of work!  I'm doing just fine finding my own food!"

You look over at Olivier and all he can do is look at the floor as if he knows that Isamu is right.....as if somewhere inside maybe he himself knows that he is too much of a coward.

Walks pulls herself out of her anger at B.B.'s reproach and starts to use the time to try and figure out how to best proceed.

Perception roll: (I'm especially looking for what Ollie and Isamu are wearing, and any jewelry or obvious cyberware)
Int 4 +skill 3= 7d6

7d6.hits(5) → [4,5,2,4,3,5,1] = (2)
"Walking through walls isn't tough..... if you know where the doors are."
"It's not being seen that is the trick."

@Walks:

The only obvious cyberware you see is a very expensive looking datajack in Olivier's temple.  You don't see any jewelry at all though on either of them.

[OOC: BTW, are there any nodes, showing up?  I sort of wanted to scan for hidden nodes before entering.  I can roll that up if you'd like.  Also, whatever happened to Spiderman?  Is he still out front?
Anyway, here's some rolls.  I'm going to assume the psychology one as dialogue, but for the magic stuff, I'd be interested to know how powerful the boy might be, based on his rate of regeneration (since regeneration is tied to magic) and based on his relative newness to the vampire game (since a fresh vamp always starts with magic 1 [essence drain killing any previous magic talent] by the books.)
Magic knowledge roll 12d6.hits(5) → [6,1,5,5,3,5,4,2,5,6,4,6] = (7)  Paranormal critter knowledge roll.  10d6.hits(5) → [5,4,3,4,6,3,3,5,3,4] = (3)  Psychology roll 12d6.hits(5) → [2,3,5,5,4,5,2,4,4,3,2,2] = (3)]

"Awwwww, shit!  That was wizard!  I thought maybe there would be a bone left or something, but...  Oh well.  I figured I'd offer to cover for you as a courtesy.  It wasn't really integral to the plan."  He turns again to the senior vampire.
"Olly, brother, I get it - I do - but, I also don't get it.  I mean, transcendence through interpersonal love is your ultimate truth?  You plumbed the depths of all the worlds knowledge and the answer to life's mysteries is someone you met a couple days ago?  This is 'Freud: The Psychology of Love' to a tee... Besides, I thought vampires were allergic to wood."  Brian raised his cybernetic hand in the air.  "Ha-ha!  Up top!  ..Come on..  No one?  It's a dick joke.  Woofer?  Aww.."
Dejectedly, Brian dropped his hand.
