Boom, since we aren't actually on a map, and since no one's actual physical location is really known. I'm going to assume everyone is since it was a force 12 spell. Also, Imveross, not sure where you're getting 9+9. The way I read it net hits = physical dmg.

Yowch.  So 5 physical damage to leave Arc with a -1 to wounds.  That hurts (unless smiles feels I need to take a test, there are no rules saying I need a test to keep control of the Scorp while getting hurt)

 The Damage Value of a successful indirect combat spell is Force + net hits, with an AP equal to –(Force). Damage from an indirect combat spell is resisted with Body + Armor (adjusted for the spell’s AP).

..okay, gotta resist 17 Physical damage.  Luckily, I learned that vehicles add their Armor to their passengers on resistance tests (if that seems silly on a bike let me know and I'll edit this roll)

Damage Resist (4 Bod+9 vest+9 Scorp-12 AP): 10d6t5 2

...so Arc takes 15 Physical damage...and that was a glitch with 5 ones.  I'll put up a reaction post, and let Smiles have fun wih the glitch :P

5 ones on a 10 die roll is not a glitch. It's more than half ones is a glitch. Also with only two hits how does 17 physical damage become 8?

dead dead? Whats your body? You get a number of overflow boxes = to body. Also do you have any edge to re roll the failures on either or both of your dodge/soak tests?

And you are correct Mercy. I did not know that Force was added to the dmg. I totally missed that when I read through the rules. I did think it was just the dmg from the roll, and with the additional counterspelling dice and after dodge & soak, do-able and still alive even if one or two people did end up using edge it would turn into most people taking 2-3 boxes of dmg and some really unlucky soul taking 5-6. Not 21 boxes and no one has nearly enough dice to survive that. So, since the witch is the witch, and she is not impossibly statted, nor did I give her exceptional ability the action she took is exactly what she would have taken at the force she would have done it. So, the action still stands, as does the roll. What I am going to change is who was hit. And I'm going to do that by using the scattershot of 2d6 to roll how many people were actually hit, and then roll to see who got hit. If it was an NPC, they're dead. PC's get to dodge & soak. The only exception to that is Yelena since we know she was close enough to take the full brunt of the spell.

Mercy, did you edge the roll. Even if you have to spend it.
