Either way, lets hope today is nice non-action oriented legwork sorta day. We still need time to heal.
I agree 100% Here's hoping!

Was that a laugh? I swear I heard a laugh. I think it came from the vicinity of Oklahoma...

Two things:

1) I've always thought it was kind of stupid, but the book (plus confirmation from Aaron the freelancer in the FAQ thread) is that Healing Tests follow the rules of Extended tests. So you theoretically lose one die each time you roll after the first. The example in the book reflects that with healing Stun Damage but isn't explicit about whether it effects healing Physical Damage. I'm not exactly sure how one would take a break from resting to reset your dice pool in any event. Or how you could decide to stop attempting to heal to reduce your chance of glitching/critical glitch. R&B?

2) Minimum drain for summoning/binding is always 2, no matter how many hits the spirit gets, so you need to roll to resist.

1. on page 207 of SR5, Full Deck does not seem to be following extended test rules.  With 6 dice he rolls, 2, 1, 1, 2, 3, which would be impossible if he takes away a die each hour.  Also, as Poindexter mentioned, it doesn't make a lot of sense to wake up in the middle of the night and do jumping jacks in order to heal your body of stun.  We're not taking dice away between tests.  The exception to this would be the hits needed to make the stabilization threshold, or any other "active" healing extended tests, should they come up.  Dig?

can ya glitch a drain resist roll?

You sure can.  +2DV, as Jack mentioned.  As far as I'm concerned, resisting drain is part of the casting process, and I think that's about the easiest way to handle it.

Either way, lets hope today is nice non-action oriented legwork sorta day. We still need time to heal.

What?  No.  I just had something caught in my throat.

+ meal.

Do you mean we gained one from the combination of eating and sleeping or one from each?

We're not taking dice away between tests.
I'm down with that, whatever makes our life easier. It is funny that the example explicitly mentions taking dice away and then fails to do so...

ETA: Wait, my book doesn't have a 3 on the end. It says "2, 1, 1, and 2" which would be possible under an extended test. Not that it matters...

Also, it may have been missed, but can we use Breeze's deck or do we have to try to change the ownership on it first? If so, Bookworm would have spent some time going through the information Breeze had collected. If that included the RF membership list, she would have done basic research on each of those names.

One edge from a night's sleep and a meal. Let's say 60 on booze, as it seems to have been done on the cheap.

@saithor, the key unlocks the encryption on the data pack Breeze sent you. The data pack contains the schematics for the MS lab, the dossiers on the RFers, information about Leonard Drampe, Hopeless' commcode, and a brief dossier on Dantes. It seems that after Dantes bounced, Breeze got really suspicious and started running searches on the name the Johnson used at the meet. Looks like Dantes has turned on his comrades before, when he was military, and he now faces the death penalty if he's found in the CAS.

ETA: let's say that Breeze also left the password to his deck on the message he sent to Hopeless, so you guys have it. Tat play ok for the short term?

ETA: should we assume that you guys grab some breakfast from Stuffer Shack and head down to meet Dr. Ken?

I'm good with that, if Hopeless wants to share it. If Bookworm catches wind that Hopeless is heading to a meeting with Dr. Ken, she'll probably excuse herself given the last time she saw Dr. Ken and head back to her place to do some matrix search stuff using Breeze's deck, if no one objects. That's mostly what she would be useful for at the moment.

Will throw something up IC real quick.

ETA: Yeah, a quick stop at the shack (unless you decide to do an impromptu run of 4E Food Fight) and head over to Dr. Ken. I guess Bookworm will just keep her head down.

@All, I'm set to go with Ryo's house-rules on Alchemy.  I'm interested in looking at the TM rules as well.  So long as deckers and TMs have their various niches, I'd like to see ways of making them a little more in line with deckers, power-wise.

I basically rewrote TMs from the ground up, and I feel they're able to hold their own with Deckers a lot better, although I haven't playtested my changes as heavily as I have for Alchemy. I've actually been thinking about running a Matrix heavy game with a bunch of TMs and Deckers just so I can see how my rules change the effectiveness of TMs compared to their mundane counterparts. The only thing about them that I didn't change is the way Sprites work, because Sprites do their thing just fine in my opinion, and are the one saving grace for TMs. I pretty much have my own Matrix chapter. If you wanna take a gander at that, I can write up a post for Rules and Such, like I did with my Street Grimoire changes.

Also, did Error ever contact his lady love?

Error has a lady love?

*checks sheet*

So he does! And he's racist against Indians, apparently? Is that Native Americans or the kind from India?

So has anything been established about Error's girlfriend or do I get to wing it? I'm gonna want to include that in my IC post.
