Say I'm building a "former" company man who in order to preserve anonymity carries multiple commlinks.
How many of these would be able to transmit to his cybereyes through DNI?
If Tom Brady’s a Spike Baby, what does that make Brees and Rodgers?

there arent any hard and fast rules on this, so you'd have to agree on a common sense approach with your GM

I wouldn't allow more than one, simply because I think that it would cause major data overload to the DNI/brain.

Are you broadcasting from more than one at the same time?  That would draw attention pretty quickly.  If you're broadcasting from one and running the other(s) silent, that could work.  It's like carrying multiple phones at the same time: it's easy to carry them all at once, it's nearly impossible to use them all at once.  As a GM, I can pretty much guarantee that you'll receive simultaneous calls at some point.

I would just say one at a time.  Like using a kvm switch.

I don't see any issues having multiple devices connected to the same set of DNI/wireless display devices. If you try to have 15 AR windows open at the same time, however, you'll run into the -2 dice pool penalty to Perception tests for being distracted by AR.

But really, the scenario described by the OP to my mind is like having multiple devices hooked into the same display; picture-in-picture/picture-by-picture if you will. I don't see a reason why a user couldn't have notifications from multiple devices pop into view when relevant.

It'd be like having a message notification, a call-waiting notification, AR directions, and your smartlink system notifications pop up in serial instead of tandem (i.e. all over your range of view). For having both (or multiple) devices transmitting in unison I'd impose the -2 dice pool modifier for distraction, but if they were both (all) configured to just give "balloon" type notifications in the side-view similar to some HUD tech available today I don't see a problem allowing it as is.

I love the comments in the early 'ware books ...

If you're running a public 'link and a private, 'buff' one, IMO you should have the additional wall of security you get by running the latter through the former - daisy-chaining it.  That's what I have Hawatari doing in the short chase scene on the bridge in Pananagutan.

Especially if you end up wasting time hacking one of your own silent running commlinks because you thought it was the other guy's. :P
Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?
