I was wanting to know if there were sensory ware or device that make it were you can use sonar/radar like abilities its just a thought to maybe counter the drawbacks of using astral perception and things like that. If anyone can help that would be awesome thanks

One could use ultrasound sensors to help give you what you're asking about.  Not really sure how it would "counter the drawbacks of using astral perception" though.  The astral perception will still cause a distraction penalty because you're splitting your perception between two different realms.

I see I was just trying to see if there was another way to detect people at range besides astral perception this item is for someone mundane so that's why I asked

The ultrasound sensor is your guy!
Other than that, you could install single sensors or a sensor array into armour, cyberlimbs or accessories and be able to utilise motion sensors/ultrasound/LRF etc etc in a similar manner.
Make sure you have an image link/DNI running to stream the data to you though

Direct Neural Interface (DNI) all over the decker/rigger sections. You get it one of two ways. Get a hole drilled in your head (datajack) or trodes. This let's you use decks or RCC in either cold or hot sim and get some of the really face wireless bonuses.

Agreed. This looks like a 'training wheels' edition, that you can use to introduce someone to the setting, and then shift over to something like 5E or 4E. Like how D&D 5E is best used as training wheels for D&D 3.X.

Trode helmets are SOP on my non cybered runners
