Arc was quiet on the ride, though her eyes were far from inactive, checking on the exhausted Firefly next to her and the gaggle of ecstatic kids behind her every few moments to make sure they were all okay. She allowed herself a little smile: the job worked, noone died, and they even got a bonus that they were all carrying. She herself was amazed...so many Howler ops with professionals went much worse...to her memory, she's seen four Howler's die in front of her. Her smile fading, she focused on the driving as they left the scene behind them, a smoking, smoldering ruin.
At the garage, Arc was quick to point the way to the bathroom for Rabbit, chuckling a little at her delayed reaction to the whole deal. "Null sheen, girly...alright, let's see what we got here..." As she started to dig through their earnings, Arc decided to send another message to Hrock.
<<Hoi, omae. Turns out I'm actually here tonight. If it's easier to drop the shtuff off now, come on over. I've got company, but they chill.>>
Sending that away, Arc glanced at Firefly and decided to help her with the loot checking, pulling out her commlink, a Renraku Sensei, and grabbed a couple of the pieces, noting the younger's tired state. "Null up, chummer. Here, I'm no tech, but I can work a link. Let's see what these are" Her eyes opened up wider as she slotted a few of the sticks to check the contents, sharing an ARO with the decker to total everything up and itemize it. She glanced through the storage devices to see the contents, and even checked the SINs to see the details pertaining to them...names, etc. Afterwards, she wiped her brow and took a breath. "This was hella wiz, peeps. You all did awesome, and I couldn't a done this drek without all y'all. You wanna crash here, you got it...uh..."
Her little speech was cut off as her stomach gave a gurgle of protest, demanding nourishment. She blinked, covering her stomach with a hand as her cheeks flushed, the mechanic a bit surprised. I just ate, like, four hours ago...musta worked harder than I thought Shrugging, she smirked and tapped her forehead. "Don't got much food, but soybars and caf on me tonight." Winking, the short woman disappeared into the kitchen, returning with a plate of the said bars and a fresh pot of 'caf.
<<Jaime, it's Tessa. I'm okay. Really. I will be home tomorrow, I"m taking care of some young ones tonight. After all this though, I'm totally jumping on that when I see you. Prepare y'self. <3
"Thanks, guys. You'll get your cred soon. And links. I just made a decision: y'all are getting links, and I'll rig up charging stations for all of you. How's that sound, huh?" She smiled, a little proud of herself for being able to do all this...these street kids are getting true opportunity here... Hope it doesn't backfire on them... She thought to herself as she tore into a soybar, chewing and swallowing between sips of soycaf. But a good night...I'll hit up NineLives in the morning, best avoid implications if I'm being watched...
