[Thursday June 18th, 2076, ~04:13, Al’s Machine Shop, Docklands, London]

Nitro may be no mage, but even he can't miss the column of fire as the spirit manifests, the spirit showing up as a bizarre mixture of signals on the Fly Spy sensors. What the fragging... ohh dreck. Recall! RECALL! His eyes snap open as with a whine his mini fleet of drones flies back in through the window, things starting to degenerate into pandemonium.

As the team hushes out he sees Al hotwiring the Toyota "Not a bad idea chummer, but if you want a wheeled distraction, you're gonna need someone who can drive, that's what I'm here for." He briefly considered launching his combat drones but sook his head deciding against it as he stepped into his BMW and started strapping himself into the 8 point racing harness, if he had to bug out he'd have to do it fast and the Bumblebee was simply too weighed down by armor to make that kind of escape.

The harness secured he pulls the cable from his jack and plugs into the rigging interface of the BMW 400GT.

His body slumps unconscious.

The lights turn on as the high performance electric moters whine softly, the car suddenly leaping forward to crash through the door, the tired scream for a moment as the car slams into full acceleration directly at the towering pillar of flame before twitching around it at the last second and scream on down the street.

OK.. THIS one, I know what to roll...

Smiley guides Goodnight back through the gate and points out the running family members

"Well, there are four mundanes running up the street that need to get gone from the area, quick as we can.  That older academic gentleman at the back of the pack?  He's our payday, so him gasping and wheezing and taking forever is not going to cut it.  The rest of our crew can handle whatever it is that just hit our hideout, the important thing is the squishies and getting them below, can you help with that?"

Having said all that, Smiley runs to the doc and prepares to carry him to the storm drain if he thinks it will help him move faster.

The Frenchman kept watched pretty much all night. He had switched to his more comfortable Chameleon suit instead of his Berwick Suit from Mortinmer of London.
Everything had been quiet, outside of Al working relentlessly on the Van.

But the Awaken started the commotion. It was weird as his attuned sense of smell didn't detect any anomaly. But the message from Torrent that appeared in his AR vision confirmed trouble was upon them.
He yelled once to make sure everyone would wake up but seeing a few of the team were taking good care of ushering and protecting the Family, he decided to let them take care of this.

He quickly started his car and had the remaining doors open too for fellow runner to join him. That's when a column of flame materialized by the Safehouse's doors with inside a humanoid form.
And that's why I fucking hate Magic! the Frenchman cursed.

And in more disbelief, he could only watch as Solo, and Al went in Melee with what seemed to be more Spirits, while ISaint attempted to hurt the Fiery one with bullets.

He looked at Nitro pressing on the gas to make the engine of his BMW scream and the Frenchman followed suit with his own car.

Let's get out, now! he yelled.  The Frenchman was no way close to Nitro's skills but he was a decent pilot. The Hyunday followed the path opened by the extravagant  rigger.

Goodnight nods once, choppily, as her eyes scans the street. "Yes." She replies softly, her voice calm and sweet and entirely at odds with the professional mask and steely gaze that had replaced her appeasing smile. She has drek for data, no guidelines, and two of the mundanes are children. Teenagers, sure, and age meant little in London Below, but still...

Goodnight steps out past the nameless runner with the roving eyes, though he overtakes her quickly enough. Her eyes linger on the girl in the group for a moment and she winces as she realizes that she's roughly the same age as Victoria. She doesn't know what the spirits or their unseen summoner wants, but Goodnight doesn't much care. With a thought and a whispered word, her power focus blazes to life, going from silver, white gold, and opals to a band of snowy flame around her slender throat.

Marshalling her thoughts, she commands the fire spirit she'd summoned earlier. Indicating the building where the strongest spirit is, the one that the family is fleeing, she commands,  Go. Aid the mortals you find there. The spirit will obey, Goodnight knows. She wonders for a second how the 'runners still inside will react to the sudden appearance of another fire spirit with the horns-and-wings profile a classical succubus. As a black magic spirit of fire, and a strong one at that, she knows that its definition of aid will manifest suddenly, violently, and all over the place, but if her employer wanted subtlety, it should have been specified.

"See it through to the end," indeed!

With a deceptively leisurely walk that still carries her a good twenty meters, Goodnight sets off up the street towards the fleeing family, her eyes peeled for other attacks.

In the building
There was a crackle, the smell of brimstone, and a second wave of heat. A coruscating column of red-tinged flame roared up suddenly from the floor, geysering ceilingward from a crack that had not been there a moment ago. Then the flame folded back on itself, contracting and changing into another spirit of fire. This one was a woman, a being of grace and beauty cast in the demonic image of its mistress. Flames crowned her head instead of hair, a luxurious mane of red and orange and purple tapers, and crackled on her hands. Wings with struts of blackened bone and panels of citrine fire were folded behind her, and slim black horns curled back along her head, ending in needle points. Her otherwise-nude body was shrouded in ribbons of fire and smoke, concealing her more intimate aspects, if there was anything behind the coverings at all. Her face was similar to Goodnight's, the same big eyes and pouting lips, but her expression was as cruel as a hunting cat's.

M was in control, taking Solo's body for feats of impossible grace. Needless to say Solo knew very little about astral combat or any physical combat.

There is another fire spirit Solo... but this one I like very much... A succubus I am going to have so much fun with her in the morning when I am leaving. If she do not disrupt me first    thought M.

"You are aware that what disrupt you kill me right?
[/color

"How unfortunate for you... it is not my fault that you are mortal... I'll keep you safe don't worry. Being disrupted is painful - I wouldn't want that" She laugh.

[Jackhammer -Thursday June 18th, 2076 - At Al's shop - Evacuation Team - Current condition 0 damage - full body armor]
Aaron stayed with the family as they moved, preferring not to engage large fire demons in close combat. Not to mention the last thing they needed was for the whole team to run off after spirits while a few men in black bag & grab the doctor. He carried his bow as he ran, drawing a stun arrow and notching it. This close to the family, a misfire could be disastrous. But at least with a stun arrow nobody would be dead.

Mel was sleeping in the Frenchman's car when she was woken up by the commotion. It took her a moment to understand exactly what was going on, but when she did, she took the few items she had brought with her and tried to escape anonymously and quietly. She set her outfit to blend in with the outside palette and escaped from one of the windows nobody was covering (at least she hoped nobody was keeping an eye on) and went in the general direction the family was escaping to, without being too close to them. She wanted to make herself as much of a waste of opportunity chasing as she could, while still staying only a few moments away from the family.

M finished the air spirits with a few fists and kicks, Solo's body was almost gliding in the astral. Then he dodged, Solo did not see an attack but M did and skillfully dodged the astral form of the water spirit. Solo was getting dizzy, his body was fighting enemies he could not see and he felt barely in control of what was happening.

What Solo could see is the fire spirit channeling a massive fire orb toward Al, the other fire spirit materialized as well, she was a beautiful succubus. Solo wondered what tradition conjures such a beautiful beast. He was uncertain if this new spirit was a friend or a foe. Behind Isaint materialized an earth spirit - whom ever is after them must really be into the elements of nature.

M cried "Behind you!" to Isaint, not even looking at him, somehow she seemed super aware of her surrounding. She plays herself as innocent and seductive but wen the shit hit the fan M proved to be quite a combatant, then again spirits are like that sometimes.  Solo had no idea that his vocal chords can pull out such a beautiful feminine voice - but they did.

[Jackhammer -Thursday June 18th, 2076 - Headed towards sewer - Evacuation Team (Smiley & Family) - Current condition 0 damage - full body armor; arrow loaded]
The sounds of gunfire and revving engines could be heard behind them. Clearly a lot was going on in just a few seconds. With no time to spare, Aaron scanned the area for physical threats as he continued propelling the family forward, following the runner known as Smiley. At the same time, he concentrated on his innate mana to channel the power of the astral into his tiger tattoo. Though he wasn't a magician, Aaron could always feel the magic around him in a way. He'd never learned to see it, but he knew it was there, like the air and the ground. And now he could feel it in his hands, his tattoo focusing his qi into something dangerous and otherworldly. Though he kept his arrow, he suddenly felt a strange urge to drop it and throw out some punches like he would in any street brawl. But spirits being complicated and dangerous as they are, he decided killing them from a distance would still be the wisest choice.

The arrow hummed lightly as the static shaft picked up a small current from the jostling. Aaron was thankful the backs were constructed with non-conductive rubberized plastic caps, or this whole business could go very sour and look quite silly.

Isaint felt the ripple of Energy behind him the same moment Solo's warning came.
He whipped around and saw the ugly, golem like creature materializing from the ground. His astral sight was still active and he could see the pulsing center where its energies collected earth and concrete dust to form it's massive body.

"No, you won't"
In quick succession he fired three armor piercing bullets into the core, disrupting the flow of energy and forcing the thing back to whatever dimension it belonged to.

At once he turned back toward the two fire spirits. He wasn't sure what had happened, but he did not complain about the sudden infighting. Maybe one of the summoners had worded his command wrong and said the spirit should attack the strongest target within the room - or it was sent by Torrents contact.
Whatever it was, he had bought enough bullets to deal with it.

He swung back his rifle to perform the same trick again...

The BMWs engines whines as he barely avoids hitting the Fire Spirit, hopefully distracting it at least momentarily. As more spirits begin to appear Nitro decides to change from evasion to getting everyone where they need to go. Tires squeal as he floors the car towards the running family before making a handbrake turn to stop just short of them, his car between the family and the combat as the passenger side doors open, the rigger's voice coming out of the speaker system.

"Alright everyone pile in, I know it's kinda cramped but it's just a couple of hundred meters, I'll get you there quick and safe"

The car felt heavier, sluggish as it was overloaded. Still the doors finally closed with a satisfying thud, completing his hardened shell. He fed power back into the four high-performance electric moters, no power loss with axles and universal joints, each wheel was powered by its own dedicated moter, something that he regularly took advantage of. The moters whines and hummed, balanced wheels spinning as he turned back down the road, feeding more and more power into them, he could see the other runners heading back towards the shop, his lights flashed a warning, for now, his role was to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible.

He was moving slower than expected, his sensors warning him that he'd exceeded his optimum performance weight, but there was nothing for it, his body now protecting the family from outside dangers until he could deliver them Underground.

Goodnight makes to stride forward, one hand going to her monowhip and the other rising to hurl power as the Earth Spirit materializes. But it had chosen the wrong target, and the other 'runner's snapshot tears the thing's magical body apart in a spray of metal and a ripple of mana. She watches him turn back toward the fight raging inside and her eyes narrow. If he shoots her temporary companion, she is going to have to give him a lecture about the nature of spirits and their sapience, sentience, and ability to feel pain.

Probably illustrating the point with a full-sensory illusion of being shot repeatedly in the stomach.

As the car roars up and picks up the fleeing civilians before lurching back into motion, Goodnight steps aside, blowing her breath out through pursed violet lips. With all visible threats gone and the distance to the other combat too great for her to cover in time to make any difference, she turns back and walks toward the entrance to Below in order to meet the civilians and their heretofore unseen driver. As her heels tap on the broken street, her defensive, disarming smile slides back onto her face, reasserting her mask as pretty but essentially harmless.

[Tobbis -Thursday June 18th, 2076 - Al's Place - Current condition 7 Stun damage -
Blinking as the others are all fighting things, The little dog-like Changeling just flat out Noped! there, taking priority on his own defenses while fleeing with the family. But really, who could blame him, he was clearly not in any way shape or form a magical super power, and obviously had little combat tech in him, if any at all.

Even from the door, Al could feel the heat the thing was giving off. This was going to hurt, but he couldn't let the thing blindside Solo. He raced forward, voodoo chanting for all he was worth, and - bingo - the thing spotted him and redirected its attack.

Job done - now stay alive, Al thought, remembering that the pockets of his fatigue trousers were filled with shotgun cartridges. He about did the limbo pulling his face back from the monster's first swing, and then the worst thing in the world happened - or the best.

Another one of the damned things came up out of hell to join the first (and that on top of the invisible ones Solo was clearly fighting)!!! This new one looked like the first one's girlfriend - Lord o' lightning, Al wasn't sure whether he should exorcise it or ask it for its number. He was so busy trying to catch a glimpse past some of those wreathes of flame surrounding the best bits that he almost failed to duck the  boy demon's second swing, and he had to spare a tick to pat out the fire its passing paw had lit in his hair.

That was when the she-devil launched into the he-demon, right about the time Solo - with a girl's voice? - shouted out a warning to Isaint.

Isaint? Just how was he seeing Isaint out on the street? Then he noticed Nitro's car was missing. He'd been so busy for about two eternity-long seconds not getting immolated he hadn't even noticed the crazy hippy take out one of his doors.

But he was certainly noticing the mountain of asphalt and cement building itself up out of the street. He was about to rush to Isaint's rescue, but the ork had shot the thing dead before he could blink.

Hmmm - maybe these fellers he was working with tonight ...weren't ...really ...the ...need-to-get-rescued ...types...

But the he-demon was still there, and fending off the she-devil's assault handily while returning its attention to Solo.

Things were happening around him so fast he was getting a bit dizzy - and that was when Spike found the hole in the door. If he stayed anywhere near these fire monsters then that stupid dog would burn himself up tearing at them. It was already charging - too late to stop it, he had to draw it off...the water!

He raced for the dock and that was when his chants to his voodoo patrons paid off. Revelation. Inspiration. Intelligence from on high.

He congratulated himself on his wisdom in maintaining such good relationships with so many powerful benefactors.

"Spike, come," he shouted in Tamasheq as he leapt into the pilot's seat of the GMC Outrider. With his commlink on board, the proximity ignition welcomed him with open arms, and he was glad he kept her so well tuned as he slammed both feet onto the gas. The boat jerked forward about three feet, but the moorings held, and then five-hundred horsepower of screw lifted half out of the water and started spraying gallons of Thames water in the direction of the twin fire beasts.

M kept going, sending her rage toward the invisible water spirit. The fire spirit quite angry at M's performance rushed her and unleashed fire... with lighting reflexes M dived to the ground and rolled in quickly toward the exit of the garage placing some distance between Solo's meat body and that fire spirit. With all these fire bursts, the entire building started catching fire, heavy smoke filled the air and visibility was bad due to the heavy smoke.

"Thanks for not letting me die..." thought Solo, "we have to go back in, Al is still in there".

M had no time to answer, that water spirit used every last bit of essence it had left in retribution.
Solo could see massive waters slashing at the spirits, a passenger in his own body, ofcourse... water - dashing the fire spirit is a suicide, it was so hot Solo was not sure it matter if that demon hit him - or if he hit the demon. M's strategy seemed to be to focus on what did not damage Solo's wetware.
