Perception: 7d6t5 3

Phoenix will also be visually looking specifically for visual representations of Feathered influence: markers, signs, things like that.  Using her enhanced vision from glasses to help.

Perception (visual, looking for specific): 13d6t5 7
Limit with glasses is 8, so I'm happy with that :D

@leadership query.
So it looks like Jack is hesitant to, and looking towards intel managing, is that right?  And Jayde has some RL stuff going on to prevent it.  And I am more than certain that Poindexter will rationalize his character has an IC reason to not lead (prove me wrong, I'm just making a guess).

...I am VERY hesitant to take up leadership position, namely from Phoenix's experience in groups (not much), and OOC because it would mean I'm in a leadership position in more than one PbP.  That being said, process of elimination probably means it's falling to me, eh?

So be it :)

Let's go ahead and get a round of Perception Tests from everyone.  This will just be base Perception.  If you have any modifiers for Visual, Auditory, etc. roll them separately.

General Perception (Int 4 + Per 5): 9d6t5 1

EDIT: whoops: 2d6t5 1
Distracted by astral perception gives -2 dice, so 0 hits.

If there's anything specific that your char will be looking for, make a separate Perception Test with the +3 bonus, and include any specs or augmentations that would help with discerning that specific thing/person/etc.

Watching for anyone with an RCC (Int 4 + Per 5 + specific looking 3): 12d6t5 5
Lowered by 1, due to mental limit.

Since Mr. Hopeless has been taking his role of astral overwatch pretty seriously, give me an Assensing test as well.

General Assensing (Mag 4 + Assensing 2): 6d6t5 3

I think we may need a leader.  Who's willing to step up?

Well, Hopeless had to take the lead once... If pressured IC, he may break and do it again.

Is the Feathered recon run happening the next day? If so, I need to make another summoning roll. Don't wanna get caught flat footed on gang turf, eh?

Yeah, I'm notional leader in about three other games, so I'm really hesitant to take over the roll here. I'm actually trying to draw down my online gaming. I've got a lot of stuff going on IRL right now.

Same here. I'm limiting myself to three at a time.

In case it IS the next day, I'll just make the rolls now. Gonna try and grab Salsha again.

Summon Salsha, Rnk 4 Guardian spirit (Mag 4 + Summ 3): 7d6t5 3
Resist Summoning (Force 4): 4d6t5 0
Resist 2S drain (Will 2 + Log 3): 5d6t5 0

Hahahaha!
So, If it's the next day, I've got Salsha for 3 services, but have 2S unless I can catch a nap before the fun starts.

EDIT: Let's give her Elemental Attack: Lightning as her optional power, and just so I don't have to look it up and re-calculate every time I need her...

Ok, this kinda fell by the wayside around page 7 of the IC thread, but did we say it was cool if I just worked purchasing the reagents from Elise into some off camera time IC post?
Also, the reason behind the purchasing of those reagents was to bind a good sized spirit in case I needed it. Also, I'm gonna be about 300 nuyen short of what I need. Here's trying to smooth talk her into throwing the last few drams on credit.
Smooth talk 300 bucks on credit (Cha 4 + Con 2 + Edge 8): 14d6h5 6
Assuming it works, I may as well do those rolls as well for when/if I need them. I'll probably be edging them as well. I know I've already spent 1 edge earlier to recognize that constellation, but I think I still have 6 left now.

Summon a Biggun (Sum 3 + Mag 4 + Edge 8): 15d6h5 4
Orokos hates me
Resist Summoning (Force 6): 6d6t5 1
But not too much, it seems. Time to soak 2 P.
Resist 2P drain (Will 2 + Log 3): 5d6t5 0
Ok, so Ian takes 2P from the summoning.

Whoops. I meant to do a force 5, not a 6, so Whoops -1: 1d6t5 1
Yay, I still take the dmg, but I get an extra service off him, for 4.

Now time for the binding ritual. Here's where we see if we wasted 1900 bucks.
Binding Sammo (Bind 3 + Mag 4 + Edge 8): 15d6h5 7
THAT'S more along the lines of what I was hoping for. Here goes his roll though...
Resist Binding (Force 5): 10d6t5 3

Ok, so I get him for 4 more services, making a total of eight, BUT I gotta soak 6P.
Resist 6P drain (Will 2 + Log 3 + Edge 8): 13d6h5 2
So Ian eats a total of 6P combined from the summoning and the binding, yuck. Ian's gonna have to take it REAL easy for a while after this. It would have taken five hours to do. Assuming I'd picked up the reagents from Elise the day after the meet with Dadlez, then he would have gone to the club with the team that night and would have performed this summoning and binding this morning before the feathered run, right?
Just trying to get the timeline right in my head. Either way, it's gonna be a rough few days for Ian.

Oh, and that would have given me 2 fewer dice to use for summoning Salsha, so...
wound whoops -2: 2d6t5 0
Sweet, no fewer services from Salsha either. Maybe Orokos dun hate me after all. Maybe it's all just random luck...

3 boxes from near death, broke as hell, and 3/8 edge left, but it's all worth it to have access to a long term friend who can always be trusted and confided in, "Sammo", a Bound force 5 spirit of man who owes 8 services. He looks like a round faced chinese man in his mid 50's. A bit doughy and dressed in a simple grey silk pants and buttoned shirt. Moves with grace and patience.

Sammo, Force 5 Spirit of Man

Spotting an appropriate icon: Matrix Perception [INT (5) + Computer (5)][8]: 10d6t5 3

If successful, she reconfigures her deck and slips into VR: ASDF/4577; Programs: Configurator, Exploit, Signal Scrub, Toolbox [Configurator: ASDF/6468, Programs: Decrypt, Encryption, Hammer, & Mugger]

Hacking a MARK: Hack on the Fly [LOG (8) + Hacking (6) + Codeslinger (2) + Specialization (2) + Hot-Sim (2)] [7]: 20d6t5 7

Snooping: Snoop [INT (5) + EW (6) + Hot-Sim (2)] [5]: 13d6t5 5

I'm not sure if there are cross-grid penalties or not. If there are, the -2 dice penalty results in 1 less hit on Matrix Perception, 1 less hit on Hacking the Mark, and two fewer hits on Snooping.

If I succeed, I'll send the feed to the rest of the team, if it shows the altercation.

The IC said two or three blocks, IIRC.

Bout how many meters is a block ya figure?

according to google, it ranges anywhere from 90m to 200m.

I'm just wondering if I can send a spirit ahead to scout without it counting as a remote service.

@Jack, is Wraith looking for cameras and the like?  This is the barrens, chummer.  No such luck, if that's the case.  There are, however, silent running icons in the area, assuming Wraith is looking for those.

These are fairly long, row-house style blocks.  Let's call it 175M a block.

That gives me just over two blocks i can send Salsha ahead. 175m x 2 = 350m. Magic of 4 for 400 meters out, right?

IC post incoming. 2 services left with Salsha.

And I didn't respond about the Bound Spirit.  That's fine.  You've got Sammo.
