Short answer; no.

Long answer; seriously, if you're going to convert a piece of equipment from previous editions you're going to need more than just the description and isolated rules. Modifications in prior editions had a whole slew of rules associated with them, and in my opinion that's important for context.

I've already provided you with a link to where you can buy the books legitimately. I'd suggest you go ahead and pick up Arsenal and Cannon Companion if you're really serious about doing this conversion thing...

Honestly, I think you're better off just house-ruling it.  The old cocoon was a barrier rating, but the way barrier penetration has changed in 5e makes it much less likely to stop a bullet.
