Took a little liberty with the scheduling.  Lemme know if you need me to retconn that.
As for "monitoring the call" I figured this would work like a 3-way call, he's already connected to burner waiting for the third party to connect.

Deck Settings:
Programs: Encryption, Toolbox, Browse, Configurator
A: 4 S: 5 D: 6 (7) F: 7 (8 )
Configurator:
Programs: Agent, Decryption, Armor, Virtual Machine, Shell, Hammer
A: 7 (8 ) S: 4 D: 5 F: 6

Premis is high defense default setting with a quick switch to battle mode if I need it.

IC looks great. No changes needed.

Next IC post is up. I've elected to use red for speech, even if green Matrix text might strictly be more accurate.

Zweiblumen, if there's in-game crunch for what we're doing (Ohanzee piggybacking on Doc's connection) let me know. Right now I presume that Ohanzee is slaved to Doc's deck. Is Doc readily present or is he running silent?

@Mal, looks like it's you and me for the next section. I don't know if you have an opening speech prepared. I don't want to get into an overly responsive dialogue where we're only writing one or two lines back and forth at a time. Feel free to write in paragraphs even if there are some assumptions taken along the way.

@Zweiblumen, let me know what Doc is doing, if anything, while the conversation is taking place.

Welcome back Poindexter!  I hope things are going well for you.

@Tec: There's no crunch that I know of.  But they had conference calling in the '80s, so I'm hoping there's still a concept of conference calls in the 2070s.  Mostly Doc is checking the incoming commcode ID.  Hopefully it matches up with the code he has on file for her.  As for activities while the meeting is going on he's going to be running matrix perception checks ever CT looking for hidden icons and gathering matrix information about the DIMR exec.  He's assuming she's going to have a spider with her or that she has those skills herself.  So he's going to try to locate the potential threat and protect himself and Ohanzee from it.  Purely defensive right now, but as I mentioned in my last OOC, prepared to go on the offense.

Katsina casting Alleviate Allergy [Sunlight] @ F6: Magic 6 + Spellcasting 6: 12d6t5 6 hits

Soaking 2 drain: Willpower 6 + Intuition 6: 12d6t5 4 hits, drain soaked

Sam now has a F6 Alleviate Allergy spell on him. Katsina will quicken it if Sam doesn't object. The same is true for Combat Sense, which she hasn't cast yet.

@Zweiblumen Yes, there are conference calls in the 2070s. What you're doing is very possible; I just wasn't sure if there were specific rules for it.

Is Doc running silent or not?

Go ahead and give me 10 Matrix Perception tests for Doc. I'll use them for commcodes first, then looking for hidden icons second.

My apologies for my continued absence.  We're opening our doors tomorrow, so things should get back to normal(ish) in the next 2-3 days.  My goal for tomorrow is to get caught up with OOC and IC threads, and I should be able to resume my normal posting schedule very soon. Again, sorry to hold everyone up, and thank you all for keeping the game going.

Good rolls from Doc. He confirms that the persona is using Jäger's commcode. Doesn't mean that it is Jäger on the other end of the line, of course, but whoever they are using her code. He/she/it is not running silent, so Doc can discover 5 additional things.

On his first Matrix Perception test, Doc finds a Courier sprite (3 net hits).

On his fifth Matrix Perception test, Doc finds a Crack sprite (1 net hit).

Doc is not running silently.  His avatar is currently that of a black suited/sunglasses body guard, and his avatar is standing behind where Ohanzee is seated.

For the 5 questions on Jäger lets go with A/S/D/F ratings and the last matrix action performed and when (note Matrix not Resonance, see below).

I don't think that I'd know they are sprites, AFAIK they appear as running programs (like agents).  If a simple MP showed them, finding technomancers would be pretty easy.

For the first program I'll use 1 hit to see what rating (level) program it is, and what it's A/F
For the second prgoram I'll use the 1 hit to see what rating (level) program it is.

Jäger
Attack: 5
Sleaze: 5
Data Processing: 5
Firewall: 8
Last matrix action: Matrix Perception

Program 1
Rating 6
A: 6
F: 8

Program 2
Rating 6

At this point it would be fair to provide a reminder of Ryo's house rules still in effect:

Technomancers

All technomancers have an innate ability to establish a Direct Connection to any device they touch. Technomancers can also form PANs.

Resonance abilities do not render properly in the Matrix and can often go undetected. If something does not qualify as an Attack or Sleaze action, the victim would have to make a Matrix Perception check to notice they were the target of something. This includes Resonance Spike. A persona forced to perform an action with Puppeteer is obviously aware it performed an action, but a Device that is Puppeteer'd does not notify its owner.

Can I assume the rest of my MPs did not result in anything useful?

Also, having spotted the "programs" I'll keep an eye on them.
Lemme know when to roll some more MPs.

Waiting for Mal to catch up before we race too far ahead on the Matrix side of things.

As Jäger is not running silent, Doc will quickly find out whatever he wants to know (that Matrix Perception can reveal).

I'm assuming the programs (sprites) are, or are you interpreting Ryo's rules to mean that sprites are inherrently hidden? (which is a badass interpretation IMHO!)

Sprites are not inherently hidden. I'd have to think through all the potential implications of that.

@Malevolence: Good start. If you start throwing around figures or conditions, go ahead and roll Negotiation.

Once spotted Doc is gonna do some more MPs; 2 on checking for silent icons (call me paranoid), and 1 each on Jäger Hermes and Erebus

More Matrix Perception [5]  (Comp 5 + Int 4 + Quali 1 + Spec 2 +VR = 14): 5#14d6t5 5 3 6 6 4 (Erebus keeps dodging my snoopes :P) (note, I looked up most of the info to try and save some time, but if any of the numbers are wrong lemme know)

I don't have 6 questions for Jäger
1. Device Rating (guessing 6)
2. What grid is she coming from
3. What programs is she running
4. The type of icon she's using, checking if its non-standard? (This is from the poorly worded side bar on CRB p. 235: The type of icon (host, persona, device, file), if it is using a non-standard (or even illegal) look.)

I don't have 6 questions for Hermes:
1. Sleeze (9)
2. Data Processing (7)
3. Last Matrix Action (I don't know if un-hiding is an action?  And if it is, I'm guessing my timing on this is poor, but I've questions to burn)
4. The type of icon it's using, checking if its non-standard?

Erebus:
A/S/D/F (6/9/8/7)

Your numbers are right for both Hermes and Erebus.

Roll: ???, Doc does not detect any additional icons running silently

1. Jäger's device rating is 7
2. Jäger is coming from the GoldenNet local grid
3. Jäger is not running any programs
4. Jäger's icon looks very standard, very conservative, like something you would see in a corporate host. It doesn't look illegal at all.

Running silent (or turning it off) is a Simple Action, but not a Matrix Action to the degree that it's not included on the lists on p. 244.

5. Hermes' last Matrix Action was Enter Host.
6. Hermes' icon doesn't look particularly unusual or illegal.
