is smaller than a frisbee
is smaller than a can lid
Technically that just tell us that it is not as big as a frisbee nor as big as a can lid. It is smaller than both. ;)

not Quite
it means it is enlarged  !
 In SR4A   the Microskimmer was smaller than a can lid
now in SR5 it is smaller than a Frisbee, but it must be larger than a can lid, or they would've writtten that, wouldv'e used the same description !
So now the Microskimmer is in Size between a Can Lid and a Frisbee
and that is MUCH bigger than an Eyeball sized or Insect Sized Drone

What type of can are they talking about, though?  Because if it's a garbage can lid that is much larger than your typical Frisbee as well.  I really would like some better descriptions.

I / SR4A is speaking of a food can lid.
in SR3 Microskimmer had the Size/diameter of a garbage can lid (Captain America's shield)
in SR4A they shrank to Food can lid ( Triple X Part 2 )
and in SR5 they enlarged again to > Frisbee diameter

with an expanding & shrinking Dance

to be fair 4th: this skimmer is smaller than a can lid and can even skim over water
5th: is smaller than a frisbee and can even skim over water

so its smaller than a frisbee and smaller than a can lid but easier to spot than the Kanmushi which is a size of a bug

i would totally argue that there are variations in size for Frisbee's as there are today. a simple google search came up with this image:

I'm assuming there referencing mm in those measurements:

mm     in
120 = 4.72
160 = 6.29
185 = 7.28
215 = 8.46
235 = 9.25

a 4.72 in diameter object is rather small granted i wouldn't call it a micro-drone. however the book description states its smaller than a Frisbee so therefore it could be 2" who knows?
