Athos looks surprised.  "I am sorry.  I did not realize that the job had been on that scale.  Here is the address.  It is just a warehouse that I have just purchased and I was hoping to see if I could get something similar done for another property."

@Athos The receptionist say "We have no record of serving that address, it is a wooden building and would not benefit from our systems. Remember a chain is only as strong as its weakest link... why add steel links if there is a wooden one.  Do you happen to have an order number?"

"How would you know it was made of wood if you had no business with that address? Lady cut the crap. We are on business here. So far my associate here has been exceedingly nice. I won't.
Because do you know what we will do if you won't give us that info?

We will leave and we will have wasted a trip. Than we will take the service of another vendor, one we have less experience with and don't know if he does good work. This will annoy us greatly - so much in fact that I will make sure your boss learns that your insipid talk cost this very business a seven figure contract.
So talk or we will walk!"

Kynos gave the receptionist his meanest glare.

The receptionist say "Well I got access to all city data, including airial photographs, and building plans everything that was deposited at city hall that is. We need it to do initial screening of clients. Please don't hit me. " You can say from her face  that she is completely terrified.


I think I misunderstood Athos and thoguht he told her where is his warehouse. Otherwise her answer indeed does not make sense. Imagine her as having some buffed up 60 years from now Google maps.

Completely at a loss for Nagisa's reaction to my being with Strawberry, I stand and hold her as she asks, placing my head against the taller girl's shoulder and stroking her back gently.  In the silence I think of the novels I've read and realize what Nagisa's feeling is jealousy and betrayal.  The idea that just having sex with someone could be interpreted in such a way is totally alien, but I've certainly read about it in my books.  I realize with a knot in my stomach that whatever Nagisa is feeling now would only be worse if things were to progress with Jimmy.  And the universe only knows what Jimmy will think of me when he learns of my background.

Nagisa is silent, she does not talk for a while and does not cry instead she just hold you cold and distant trapped in her own world with her own thoughts. You know her well and can tell that  she want to cry it off, she need it actually. But her eyes are locked, as she is not comfortable enough.  After a long while and more than one awkward moment she finally say “He is terrifying, isn’t he ?” You know that she is speaking of Bruno.

Athos observes the interaction between the receptionist and Kynos and keeps his calm to reassure her as he says, "Please, my friend just ate a very bad burrito for breakfast and it is making him very grumpy.  I do actually have a project number: 000157493.  Yes the warehouse is wood, but the man I bought it from wanted to add some security to the place.  No extra charge to me, so why not, right?  Is there any way that you can look that up and tell me who handled the project.  And here is the address again, just to make sure that you have it correctly." 

While waiting, Athos observes the woman.  He appreciates a pretty girl when he sees one and this one is definitely attractive and her clothing, while business-like, was clearly selected to emphasize her rather generous physical attributes.

"This order you give me, it is for a KE high security prison cell are you sure you gave me the right one?" She say still a bit shaken. "If it was installed at your wooden warehouse it is a mistake, it requires great structural stability not to destroy the host structure. That prison cell is coated with one inch of silksteel."

Athos smiles, but there is a hint of coldness about it.  "No, I am quite certain.  The man I bought the warehouse from gave me this project number and said that I should look you up if I was satisfied and that perhaps I could get something similar for another warehouse.  But I confess to being as confused as you are.  Something is smelling a bit fishy, as if someone shifted this project from the KE to this warehouse.  I suppose that they would be interested in just how that happened.  My guess is significant bribes and perhaps some blackmail.  So, why don't you connect me with the local project manager and maybe we can work something out to avoid me going directly to the KE with what I know and suspect?  Do you think that you can do that for me?"

She say "I got the signature of the client, Robert winter and it is not to secure a warehouse it is used to secure a prison cell. Cell 2-27-B to be precise in the local prison. I got no idea what kind of people are considered dangerous enough to get this kind of system. Nobody in their right mind would install that on a warehouse somebody may get hurt.  This product is a proactive security system, if it detects any form of resistance or attempted escape it instantly kill the prisoner."

Now Athos frowns.  "So you aren't going to put me in touch with the job supervisor here?  Now I am feeling a bit stressed.  Can you at least put me in touch with the client?  This Robert Winter.  Right now I am sure that the signature, if not the name, is a fake or a forgery."  He pats his stomach.  "To be honest, I had some of the same burritos as my friend here and I am starting to feel a bit off myself.  Please do not make me angry."

@She say "I can put you to talk to my manager if you like, please do not be angry I am sure that there is a perfectly valid explanation we can call Mr. Winter right now he is very senior in the KE, I am sure that you got the order number confused, there is no way that THAT system was installed in the warehouse you describe. Should I call |Mr. Winter right now? to clearify the situation? "

She shows you the job order that include a signature as well as a finger print and a high level SIN validation of Roger Winder.  It is for a remote KE facility across the Salish border, as a cooperation the KE can pass easily through national borders and a lot of their facilities for Seattle residence are not even in Seattle.

Athos nods and smiles.  "Thank you.  Could you please do that?  Perhaps it is all a misunderstanding and my seller got a wrong job code.  But I would like to clear this up."

@The receptionist calls the KE "Can I speak with Mr. Winter please? This is Mazal from Digital Security Solutions"
She holds.

"There is this guy he said that he bought a warehouse down Union Hill Road & 208th Avenue NE, and that
he has one of our products, the only product they can legally buy is our anti theft lock, but we stopped manufacturing them ages ago. He gave me an order summery, but it is used for a maximum security prison cell. Yes, the X3 model that's the one. My records said that it was installed in your facilities on 1.9.2074. He said that this system was installed in his warehouse. "



"If he is speaking the truth I do not know what ordered got installed in your prison cell, I am sending a technician to check it right now. Ralph Big, make sure he has the appropriate authorization. I am terribly sorry for the confusion."


"Yes, Union Hill Road & 208th Avenue NE... ask him to wait ? alright"


She looks at you and say "Mr. Winter said that he will be right here. If you would be kind to wait, I am sure we can clear this thing out. In the meanwhile perhaps you would like some coffee? "

As soon as the girl told them to wait he furrowed his brows.
Discreetly he took a few steps towards the door and positioned himself so that he could flank whoever came from inside. His hand also was inside his coat, very close to the grip of his gun...
