The first thing Kynos did was contacting his army contact. Schwarz, the quartermaster wasn't surprised:
"Hey, Kynos, I heard you have taken on a few extra enemies. Is there something you need?"
"Hi Alfred, na, nothing I can't handle. I'm just on retainer at the moment. Reason I call: I need three mini-grenades, gas with Neuro-Stun, the more concentrated the better. If you don't have it, I'd take the same with Narcoject and DMSO. While you are at it you can add some Pepper Punch grenades."
"Non-lethal stuff? Who are you and what did you do to Kynos?"
"Ha, ha, very funny. Also, I'll come over with a nice piece of full body armor. I need you to take out all the RFID stuff, fit it to my specifications. Get me also those gel-packs."
"Puh, anything else? Until when do you need that stuff?"
"ASAP of course. While you are at it: Plaststeel cuffs a black bag and rope."
"You know that will cost you quite a bit. Last time I checked you still owed Jimmy 30k."
"Yeah, that's why I'm working. And for currency: I'd hoped you'd take a nice little something for payment. An AEROQUIP Dustoff drone - KE colors but already with the correct ownership protocolls. Retail worth 12.000.
What do you say?"

Maxwell lets out a few raspy coughs, after clearing his throat he replies with: "Maybe I am.  Who wants to know?"

Athos arrives back at the hotel and goes to his room, where he showers and changes into clean clothes.  Before going down to the bar, he replaces the bullet he had fired from the Superhawk.  He checks the mirror, pleased at the look.  The Yaks had managed to get his clothes in the right size.  He takes the elevator down to the lobby and walks over to the bar, happy to be able to do so.  The experience in the prison had been strange and a bit unsettling.  **Hey, Cat.  You still there?  Been pretty quiet.** 

In the bar, the trids are tuned to various news channels, all talking about the "incident" in Salish-Sidhe territory.  It is all speculation, but the continuously looped vid shows the airstrikes and the clouds of smoke from the carnage.  When he gets to the table, Athos bows to the Elven woman then sits.  He orders a beer from the waiter and loses interest in the trid shows, barely noticing when they shift to the combat biking.  He is more interested in the company at the table and makes sure that they don't think his attention is elsewhere.  Athos lifts his glass of beer, "Good evening, ladies.  Been one heck of a couple of days.  Cheers."

@Athos Cat say "Well, I am a bit upset because of the prison being bombed from the sky, people and perhaps Red, the rabbit and Alice. Upset is not the right word, if I saw it coming I know that Red saw it coming and I am terrified with what really happened in there.  I also did some matrix snooping, trying to spot Red in the city. No luck so far. "

Deep Blue say, "Luna here trades with some very rare commodity. She has some information that might prove useful for you,She knows who wants you killed and has some disturbing information regarding Bruno and Nagisa"
Luna asks you "Would you be interested in such information?"

Athos looks closely at the Keeb.  "I would be very interested in such information.  What is your price?"

Maxwell eyes the business man then the door to his apartment then back to the man.  He lets out a deep groan of anger and exhaustion.  "How do these people keep finding me?  Its not like I advertise where I live."  With a tired voice he responds: "Alright cut the shit and tell me who you are and who you work for.  For all I know their is no trap and you're trying to fool me into going with you.  To lull me into a false sense of security then dust me when i'm not looking."

I was sent by a friend of yours does the name Amy rings any bell?"

Maxwell looks at the guy with confusion as he tries to remember who that is.  After a few moments he realizes who Arthur is talking about and exclaims: That Brain Eater chick!  Wait a minute that makes no sense.  I thought she was captured or something."

@Maxwell the man say: " She changed employers and now works for EVO, and she sent me to bring you with me. Apperantly you too have a mutual enemy someone she does not want killing you so easily... You should really call her. I am only here to warn you about the bomb."

Maxwell's eyes flare up in hatred as he says: "This mutual enemy, his name wouldn't be Venom would it?

I groan slightly as I turn a bit in Nagisa's limp arms.  The two of us had ended up just snuggling together on her luxuriously soft queen sized bed.  Neither felt the need for more, but just the reassurance that that comes from long moments in your lover's arms was more than enough for us.  We'd fallen asleep in a heap of nine limbs, happy for the quiet moment together.

BEEP!

Okay, okay already...

Only a handful of people will cause my glasses to actually squeal like that.  All of them i'd be interested in hearing from right now, so i work my way out of Nagisa's embrace.  As usual, she can sleep through a war zone much less a chirping comm.  I blink the sleep out of my eyes as I slip my glasses atop my nose and open up the messaging menu.  Athos' latest message appears before me in the air.

>>Yulia.  It's Athos.  Finally broke out of prison.  Working a couple of leads.  How are you doing?  Are you still with Strawberry or at the hotel?<<

Prison?!?

What the hell?

>>Prison, onii?!?  I need to hear this story.  I am still with Strawberry...sort of.  Our mutual friend who left the party early night before last has been accounted for.  I have leads too, but I'm at a point I wanted to get your take on them before I did things I couldn't take back.  Where are you now?<<

Athos smiles at Minnie's message, almost seeing the ears droop and the tail swishing.  >>Time for stories later.  Right now I am on the way back to the NH for a shower and change of clothes, then off to follow a lead.  Glad to know both of you are safe.  I was worried.  I am sure there is a story there as well.  I will contact you tomorrow.  Stay safe.<<

At the bar, Athos takes a drink of his beer before responding.  "Tempting, perhaps.  I am not normally an assassin.  But tell me about this kill and I will consider it."
