Athos does enjoy the ride to the club, even if it seems on occasion that she is trying to kill him on the corners.  Still, her skill is impressive and he enjoys the way she feels with his arms wrapped around her.  The club is a surprise.  "Never even heard of this place.  I like the AR décor, like out of a past age."  He settles in with her and admires the dress she is wearing and mentions her shoes.  Vinnie had once told him that a girl like a man to notice her shoes and he had found that to be mainly true.

Athos also enjoys the dancing, even if he is mostly left feet.  He tries very hard to not step on Lora's toes, laughing with her at his mistakes.  All in all, he has a good time.  When Kynos' message comes in he excuses himself and steps outside to send a reply.  >>I am tied up with a friendly Yak contact who could be helpful in giving me some information.  I am sure that there is a price tag for it.  Can you keep the guy on ice until the morning?<<

He returns to the club and tries to make Lora's evening nice.

Lora answers "I like this place, down town outside of any syndicate pocket and you need quite a bit to become a member so people behaves themselves. " When you mention her shoes she smiles "They are indeed nice, custom made to my body." She whispers. "Your suit seems not bad at all... It seems like you got life figured out. Probably some adrenaline junkie aren't you? "

The night progress nicely and you two seem to enjoy the atmosphere, one of the benefit in going out with an orc lady is that Athos does not feel so big next to her. Lora is already taller than most of the clientele by almost an head. Athos is taller, but around Lora he blends in. If she wasn't around he'd feel like Gulliver in Lilliput.

Kynos hand automatically crept to his gun when he read "keep on ice" but recognized early enough that this phrase was meant subtly differently than "put on ice".
"Let's get you cleaned up DemoX. I've got some beer in my hideout and a good medkit." He helped the dwarf on the socius and sped away.

It occurs to me that Strawberry doesn't know me.  If she did, she'd realize how ridiculous such concepts were regarding me.

And how unworthy I was to be in her arms. 

I turn my body so that I am facing up from the elf woman's lap.  My eyes meet hers and I steel my courage.

"Strawberry, I'm a whore and have been since I was eight years old.  I'm not sure what a love life is and I certainly don't deserve a "gentlewoman"."

I sit up so that I'm not in her lap anymore and my tail droops away from her body.  My dignity is already in tatters and I prepare myself for her rejection.  "I haven't exactly hid my p...past, but I know I sh...should have been more c...clear.  You...deserve...better and I...I'm sorry to have dis...disappointed you."

I try to hold back the tears streaking my cheeks but they keep falling.  I do my best to face away from Strawberry so that she can't see.  It's bad enough that I'm speaking through sobs.  If I knew the way out of this place I'd have fled already.

Athos is enjoying himself more than he had thought he would.  "You make this easy, Lora.  And, no, not really an adrenaline junkie.  I have worked in this business long enough to have got somewhere and I admit to liking nice things.  I can be more violent than the competition, but would prefer other ways to do business if it is possible.  Death is always so final and while some people really deserve it, it does make it hard to talk to them later."

During on of the rest periods between turns on the dance floor, he points around the room, "So this is your off-time fun?  I like it.  Thanks for sharing it with me."

Strawberry is silent looking at you with empathy when you break away she hugs you meshing your body completely into hers and as she embraces you her hands stroke your back comforting you. “Let it all out” she whispers “it is okay you are safe” and as she embraces you you find that the tears flow more easily, there is something about her that just makes you just want to let go.

After a while  she say “There is nothing to be ashamed of... It is the Finnegans who abuse little girls for profit” she gently strokes your cheek with a single finger that then moves to your lips.  “You deserve better than that!”  She forms eye contact and just look into your eyes. “No more tears tonight”, she whispers and lean in to kiss you.

@Athos Lora say "Got to enjoy what little we get...  Never planned to stay alive so long, I always seem to be one accurate bullet away from kicking the bucket. This makes me feel alive."
She say and suggestively touches Athos hand. "Besides... if it wasn't for you I'd be the tallest one in here. Kind of sad that trogs don't make it more often to places like that and it is a bit awkward to dance with humans. She smiles.

Athos smiles and nods.  "I know what you mean.  Although I had thought I was moving up it has been taken from me, at least until I can find out what happened and see if it is enough to save me.  Otherwise my own people will be the death of me.  So I completely get the whole live while you can idea."  He looks down at her when she touches his hand, but it feels nice and he does not move away from the touch.  He shakes his head, " And you are right, there are lots of things I cannot do with humans." 

"So care to tell where you learned to ride the bike like that?"

"I know what you mean.  Although I had thought I was moving up it has been taken from me, at least until I can find out what happened and see if it is enough to save me.  Otherwise my own people will be the death of me.  So I completely get the whole live while you can idea."

Lora tells you "Employers are like that sometimes, this is why it is important to have your secrets. Get some safe-houses for a rainy day.  Secure some side gigs that are directly yours. Never be in the pocket of your employer and make them fear you a little bit."

"And you are right, there are lots of things I cannot do with humans." 

She eye you flirtatiously and say "I have a feeling that, I am going to find out..."

"So care to tell where you learned to ride the bike like that?"

Texas... I was a Lone Star rigger before I figured out I am on the wrong side of the law. Stuck with a dead end job around the clock and no hope to really live. The wage was just barely enough for surviving but really living was out of the question. Care to skip this place? I can show you the city view from my suite... "

Athos laughs, "Yes, well.  My particular Family might be just a bit disappointed if I was out too independent.  And up until now I was doing alright.  Now I.......  "  His voice trails off then he adds.  "Sorry.  I was about to bring work into the conversation and I would rather enjoy talking about other things for one night.  Like how that dress really suits you.  And, yes, I would like very much to see the city from your place.  I am sure that the view up there will be amazing.  I know that I am already impressed by it down here."

Lora smiles "Your family likes playing it's soldiers like a big chess game. They like to have complete control. It is good for them but bad for you.

The Yaks are far more chaotic they are three independent syndicates that only unite when there is some common enemy to fight...  I am no Yak, I am a nobody really... Do not get attached because I really do not plan to last for very long. "

"Well, you certainly seem like much more than a nobody.  Maybe you just need a reason to stick around."  If Trolls could really blush, Athos would.  To cover his embarrassment he holds her moves behind her, pulls out her chair, and holds her wrap for her.  "You mentioned a view?"

"Stick around is not an option not with all the fucked up stuff that is going on... I should cross the border while I still can. I still have a few days of errands, always pushing fate. Perhaps you will travel too once you understand that being nobody is way better than being a Mafia soldier." She wares her leather coat and say... "You'll have to endure my driving once more."  Very quickly she hops on that bike and make the engine roar. Now the thing is about electric engines they do not roar they are completely silent "It is fake, but as closest to the real deal as possible."

Athos remains silent for the ride back to the NH.  He is disturbed by the words of the Ork woman, but realizes that she will explain as much as she wants to.  For now, he enjoys the speed of the ride and the feel of her in his arms.  He does try to not squeeze too much during the tight turns.

@Athos after quite a rough ride Lora takes you to her floor, but not to her room "Come to the roof through here" she say, and hop on the service stairs to the roof where there is a small helipad, with a small helicopter. It is a wasp model identical to the kind used by the KE. Armed, and well taken care off.

The New-Hilton is a tall building and the view is quite incredible. "How is she?" she asks.
