The crowd quickly dissolves. The last curious spectators fled as Scarcrow held his speech. It's difficult to tell what's going on in their minds as they leave the scene, but neither the cop nor the runners have any illusions about how long it will take until rumors will spread. And the police will take a closer look at what happened here.

The girl sighed with relief after Mark's treatment. She doesn't seem to have realized what was going on: the pain and the sore neck both were relieved shortly after the medkit injected some painkillers. But again, you can be quite sure that some of the witnesses must have noticed the powerful spell.

By the way, please indicate the Force of spells in future. In this situation it's not really relevant, but it might be in future.

There are no cameras. The Temple of Wonders respects the privacy of their guests.

@all: Where do you bring Frozen Yoghurt?

Soon after, you bring the man into your car and make sure that you're gone before inquisitive eyes arrive at the scene. Frozen Yoghurt is hardly equipped at the moment (which is small surprise, given the fact that he is still stark naked). The only things you find are his deck, his commlink, some soaking wet clothes and his gun. He is indeed well augmented, but most of his 'ware is impossible to disable unless you acquire cyberware blockers. But you can turn off the two devices to prevent him from calling somebody.

Let the quest for information begin! Well done, lads! Standing ovations!

It took Cinder two trips - one to a DIY-market and one to a stuffer shack - to gather the props for an interrogation room: Cheap plastic panels inside an old container, a sturdy aluminium chair, bolted to the floor and a halogen mirror lamp. Remembering the cyber eyes he bought a second one with extra bright LEDs so that even the best flare compensation would be overwhelmed.

It was the work of half an hour to create the room. As a final touch, Cinder got a big soycaf, drank half of it and chucked the rest against one of the walls. Satisfied he presented the room to his team mates. "Bring him in before he wakes up, don't forget to check his vital signs."

After bringing the criminal in, Scarcrow positioned himself in the back of the container, guarding the exit. He didn't want be right in front of Frozen Yoghurt's nose, since a few precise questions the criminal might ask would probably make it pretty obvious that the troll was no policeman at all.

He had also bought a sandwich, a big bottle of water, a lighter and a bundle of strong tape, should they have to tie the man up, blindfold him or shut his mouth by force. He hoped they wouldn't have to use it, but was ready to do so.

I guess Mark can make sure that no one watches/overhears what we do?

Once in the perimiter Mark established basic security, placing drones in key locations scanning their area and instructing them to alert him for possible movements.
Drone perception: 3#9d6t5 3 5 4Limit is 3 but all drone should reach it.

The second thing was to make sure that FY does not see Marks actual face, a wig, some cosmetics, a dash of facial magic for a completely different look and body languge. Heck, if his partners in crime did not see the transformation infront of their own eyes they'd probobly would not identify him. A disguise was a good call just in case the copper decides he has morality.

Disguise: 14d6t5 4
Impersonation: 10d6t5 5
Yes Mark is sort of a master of disguises.

Then Mark placed a small plastic desk and a chair that he keeps in the car, and started examining FY's belongings. His heart skipped a bit once he notice the 'Deck' is a full blown Renraku Tsurugi in all its glory. It has been a while before Mark had an actual deck - let alone a high end deck.  Even the fantasy of maybe being able to keep the deck as his own - made him greedy. That run seem to turn a  lot more profitable than anticipated. "Youngsters and their fancy technology!"  Thoguht Mark.

Afterall with a low budget and some hardware skills Mark improvised a deck out of his own RCC.
A deck that in his own hands became powerful enough to hack through the defenses of unsuspecting FY twice.  However, Mark had to admit -  at the end of the day - an improvised deck just could not do everything that a real deck could. There were bounderies and it took creativity to walk around these limitations. .

Mark enjoyed his job of digging through the electronics and slowly but surely uncovering FY's secrets it was a riddle to solve. A technical challenge and Mark had a blast not many mages enjoy the benefits of mastering technology but in Marks mind magic was very similar to programming, hacking and other technical skills it required a sharp mind and some mystical observations into the nature of science and how it is all eventually based on observations. Suddenly, the rules of nature changed and modern science had to adopt to exploite the new possibilities. Until science catches up - what Mark can do is considered 'Magic' an awkward name for somthing that was part of nature. Few people could practice magic, but few people could also practice advanced physics, play proffessional chess or create a self aware AI.

The room is set up quickly in your hotel - the only place you had. You'd have to trust in the general lack of interest in anything that was so typical for people in this specific area. Soon you had an interrogation room prepared for Frozen Yoghurt.

Once you fixed the naked elf at the aluminium seat, the lamp directed into his very face, you injected some basic drugs to get him awake. The elf moaned, then gasped, as if awaking from a bad dream.
He didn't knew it was the bad dream he awaked to.

"Drek. Where the fuck am I? What do you want from me? Who the fuck are you, anyway?"
You could tell that the elf was in a bad condition. His head was still spinning from the gel round that hit it, he might even suffer from a concussion. The assassin looked sick and miserable. Still, your pity is limited.
"Fuck! Can you please turn off that damn lamp? It's burning me..."

"So sorry, but I fear this is protocol. But I'll talk to my boss to see if I can do something about it. Here, have some aspirin and water. Your head must be pounding.
I'm sorry to say that you are in custody. The charges against you are severe. You broke the neck of a little girl in front of dozens of witnesses. I fear there won't be much you or we can do for you after that. Resisting arrest was bad enough but manslaughter... well, you'd need to help us solve a major crime to get you any kind of deal after that.
Luckily for you, we are not particular interested in you - we'd like it best if you left the country and never came back. No, we want to know about your employers from the temple - especially the things they are doing in their research labs.
You see, we actually had dropped that case - until someone from the tax-office showed up and reminded us, that the temple - although exempt from taxes - had no such provision for an affiliated research center. And you know how it is with tax men. If the state doesn't get his cut he becomes very agitated.
If you help us with our inquiries there might be a deal for you on the table. Otherwise - well, you probably know what a jury would say.

So, what do you say?"

Cinder asked calmly despite the still raging desire to start punching the man.

Scarcrow had nothing to add so far. In fact, he was quite impressed how realistic the set-up and the speech were. This might go wrll.
So he just stood in the back of the room, halfly hidden by the shadows, and cleaned his fingernails with one of his knives. Should FY resist, was he more than willing to play a baaad cop, but for now he felt like he would only ruin the scene by interfering.

FY stares at the aspirin with cold rage. His hands are cuffed, and he feels mocked.
"You sons of..." FY bites his tongue.
"Right, right. I'll cooperate. Bit unzip my hands at least!"

"I'm sorry, but you proved yourself to be a very... volatile personality. We wouldn't want for you to bring yourself in even worse calamities.
Besides you have enough leeway if you move your mouth to your hand.

Now, I'm glad to hear this. Let's start with a simple question. How long have you been working for the temple?"

Cinder stayed composed and made sure he stayed outside kicking range while he dropped the Aspirin in one hand and the bottle in the other.

Mark replies >> he seems to be a combination of a religious fanatic and a psychopath as if there is a big difference he actually buys the ideology of the temple.

Frozen Yoghurt eyes you with barely hidden contempt. Yet, without his grace being fully broken, he swallows the aspirin and leans back in his alu throne.

He shuts his eyes, before answering and mumbles softly My music. Where is my music? He seems distracted, but eventually he bites his lips and focusses on your presence.

"Four", he says at last. "I've been here for four years."

<<Shit, that will make that a whole lot more difficult.>>

"I see. Well, in that case you can help them a lot by cooperating with us. They are in big trouble if the tax-men come for them.
So tell me, who are you working for and what does he do in his day to day business."
