I slowly begin to figure it out. 2 points from the signal processor, 2 points from signal scrub, and 3 points from the RCC. And you added stealth via dongle.

You know bnc? :-S
That's scary :D

Yes, I remember when you were looking for a GM and thought about offering but I was way too green back then. I still feel like I make tons of mistakes GMing .

So do I and so do most GMs, I guess. Well, except Jack. He's an awesome GM!

@Jack

That's basically right. You have Dr. Manzoo's address, not Harka's. But it just takes a bit of asking around to find the right place, so it doesn't matter.

What exactly do you mean by foreigners in the temple? Do you mean people like Manisha Hatsumoto and Akihiro Matsuda? And who do you ask?

Yes, exactly.
Cinder would ask primarily street vendors - people who have a vested interest to look out for foreigners with money.

So Mark and Scarcrow go and vistit Harka?

@Jack: Asking in high-class hotels or restaurants might also prove useful, since they don't really have a reason to use wrong names.

Ok guys and gals,
I'll be away for a week, probably without reliable internet connection, so don't worry about my lack of response.

@luckace
He can do that, but those tend to be a bit more discreet.

Sorry for not posting for such a long time, boys. Work is killing me at the moment. I'll catch you as soon as I'm a person again. Sorry for the inconvience. Every day, I was hoping I could set up a post, then didn't manage to. I hope I will find a spare minute on the weekend but I can't even promise that...

I hope that I speak for everyone when I say: no worries, chummer, real life goes first.
Online-life is not a race, but work needs to be done in time.
Oh, and don't let your job kill you entirely, would be a shame if we had to end this story already   ;)

Sooo... before we continue IC-wise and the drek really hits the fan, I'd like to know more about our surroundings:
What kind of milieu are we in? How many people/windows in front of his house? Is the van in close range?

Sure.
We are in the midst of Thamel, so there are a lot of people around - but few who care if someone around dies or screams or does anything else that isn't directly remoted to money. That is, to their money. This also depicture the milieu of the area. This is the bad part of the former tourist area. This is were the bloody streetdocs and the mercenaries go, where you can buy organs and second-hand augmentations discreetly and where you can purchase child soldiers and girls without questions asked. This is very cops only go undercover - and only if they must.
Where or not you parked your van nearby is your decision. If you did, you must be aware that it's difficult to go anywhere from her by car since the streets are extremely crowded and you have to force your way through. Also, you should be aware that this is probably the area in Nepal where the most criminal energy meets the most skill - so your car is not safer than you are.
It's still daytime, so the real dark creatures are still in their caves. But in an area like this, that's not saying a lot because no-one is ashamed to follow their business in open daylight.

And just a hint. You can either assume that the doc doesn't have his valueable gear in his clinic - or that he has it heavily guarded and the guards are nearby.

Hm, then I guess we wouldn't have parked the van in close range, since the likelihood of it getting hijacked is quite high and we wouldn't be able to maneuver through the smaller streets.
Gilga, what's your view on that?

Mark would never endanger his car - actually why park it at all - cars drive themselves remember? this is SR!
The car dropped us as close as reasonable and then went back to safety.
PS Mark has improve charisma spell for Scarcraw he'll use it to make him more scary.
Improve charisma: 14d6t5 6
Drain: 9d6t5 3
Dice from magic: 4d6t5 1
not much but perhaps with 4 hits we'll scare him.
cast at force 4, no drain.
