Five things? Here goes:
- Rotodrones can actually carry two weapon mounts due to the bonus Body they get just for mounts. Very handy for packing both lethal and less-lethal weapon options.
- You can give a single order to *all* your drones with one action, which can be very handy when you need to burn something down.
- Outdoors, having an aerial drone up where it can see the entire battlefield gives your team priceless tactical intelligence.
- Your control rig not only gives you extra dice for piloting tests, it also reduces the threshold for tests and increases the Handling (limit) for the tests.
- Your number #1 target is probably the opposing decker or technomancer, if there is one, especially if you don't have a friendly hacker or yours is otherwise occupied. Take them out first, then fill the mage with APDS.

I finished reading over the Rigger section again, and I think I'll be rebuilding my decker/rigger character. I do have some questions remaining though, and rather than starting anew thread I'll put them here:

  • If a drone has an autosoft in it, such as the F-B Bumblebee's default autosoft for the Stoner LMG, can the drone use shared autosofts such as electronic warfare from the RCC as well, or is it either the gunnery (Stoner) autosoft OR the RCC autosofts?
  • Drones can run a number of autosofts equal to half their rating, rounded up. Does that limit only apply to autosofts actually run on the drone, or is that counting autosofts shared by the RCC?
  • Do all drones/vehicles automatically come with a pilot program, or do you have to buy a program seperately? If you buy it, what page is it on in the main rulebook?

1. By RAW, they only get to use the RCC autosofts if they have none loaded. pg 267 core rulebook : "One caveat: if a drone is running any of its own autosofts, it cannot benefit from the RCC’s autosofts"
2. Actually run on the Drone. pg 270 core rulebook : "If a drone is slaved to a rigger command console and isn’t running any of its own programs, it uses the programs running on the RCC. This can exceed its normal program limit."
3. Come with a pilot program, as listed with the drone/vehicle. No rules in 5th (yet) for upgrading/replacing it.

There is only one question and one question only:

EXPLOSIONS?
