Most of the cops are also aware that building a case on shadowrunners is at best pointless, if not suicidal, depending on runner. Ones like dev-grl and FastJack will erase the cop's life or worse, make him a metahuman sex offender who likes little boy elves and being willed by Frank the Troll. Ones more like Kane will just remove the cop and if pissed, his whole department. Plus, they may decide to make a run on the department to screw over the cops building the case (these might be the nicest ending). My group is more likely to take out the department. We all fail at being subtle.
