If he can, Zeroman will start fumbling with the other lock, unless it gets in Deex's way. If he can't, he will keep watch on the windows and the other houses for any changes in the surroundings.

<<@All: This might never come up, but hypothetically, if Crockpot has a family, they might be a part of this situation. Like if someone killed Crockpot and stole the goods, they may of kidnapped his family, which is an added factor.>>

Deex fiddles with the lock and pops it.  He's about to move on to the second one when he notices a small blinking red light in the first one.

With a loud KA-CHUNK, several bolts slide into place in the door, locking it down tighter than before.  There won't be a way to get in without breaking the door down, it looks like...

[Zeroman]

"Damn. Guess we gotta find another way in." Zeroman says quietly to Deex. He starts towards the nearest window, reaching up and giving it a small tap of his finger. He was trying to judge how thick the glass was.

"Maybe we can break a window. It would be quieter than kicking in a door."

If he has to, he pulls himself close to the window, trying to look inside and see what room it would lead to in the house.

The window next to the door leads to the kitchen.  Peeking inside, it looks generally clean and free of clutter.

Deex puts his hand on Zeroman's shoulder. "Let's slow down for a minute. This has to be the house and we don't want to set off any more security."

The team waits a bit, letting Walks In Cloud do his thing.

<Team [Walks In Cloud] Surprise, surprise.  The security on this host is stronger than the other houses.  And the host is beefier.  I'm in though, give me just another...>

At that point,t he heavy bolt makes a loud KA-CHUNK as it slides back open.

<Team [Walks In Cloud] Got it.  And something to note, there wasn't an alert sent out of the host anywhere, not that I can see.  Looks like the guy locks his place down and then fends for himself.

Deex and Zeroman open the door and step inside the orderly kitchen.  Two dishes sit in a dish rack next to the sink. On the table is a single notepad and a bowl of fruit.  Off one end of the kitchen is a hallway.  On the other end is an opening to the living room.

Deex moves slow and methodically. He scans the kitchen while he attaches the silencer to his Colt Gov't 2066.  He reads the notepad quickly before moving to the entrance to the living room.

Zeroman moves in after Deex, taking a look around room and his surrounding to see if there any signs of something happening here. Everything seems in order, no obvious signs of a struggle or attack. No broken plates, no smell of a dead body as they are walking through the kitchen. Even this being a one floor house, he looks for any basement doors before moving along to the living room.

The notepad is blank, a little ledge over the top indicating it's about half used up, with little scraps where pieces had been torn away imperfectly.

Mother comes up to the front door and, in keeping with her ruse, knocks, before leaning against the side and drifting into the astral.  A few moments later she straightens up.  <Team [Mother] No magic threats.  Nothing alive.  No basement.  Crawl space in the attic.>

@All: The fact that the alarm wasn't routed to KE indicates to me very strongly that this might be our house. This is a fairly nice neighborhood, nobody is going to want to risk getting in a firefight with an intruder so there's no reason they would have an alarm and not have KE show up. Be careful, the residents likely have a nasty surprise waiting for any unwanted guests, probably something that comes in full-auto if they're running military hardware.

Zeroman moves through the kitchen a little more calmly now with nothing alive being sensed. He takes a quick glance into the trash can to see if any crumpled notes are sitting on top.

He will grab any but keep moving to the living room, looking for the opening up into the attic.

There doesn't appear to be any notes from the notepad in the garbage.

Finding the crawlspace is easy, but there doesn't seem to be anything up there but pink insulation and a few plywood boards.

Moving around the rest of the house, Deex doesn't immediately see anything to draw his attention.  A comfortable living room, flat trid, a modest bedroom with a full side bed.  There is a second bedroom set up as a child's playroom, but no bed in it.

Deex finishes clearing the house then changes his attention back to the notepad. He starts looking through the kitchen draws until he finds a pencil. It just takes a quick motion with his light touch and the last page's scratching would appear.
