Kachina sends a quick message to Ravener.
@Ravener [Kachina]: when you're done I need you to hack into that gentleman 'link or eyes. Get what those eyes saw or recorded. Whatever it was managed to scare the hell out of him. Either it was scary or he knew what/who it was.

Taking another look around the hallway, Henway's brow furrows for a moment, then he announces over the comm, I'm gonna take de elevator down to de garage and scope tings from down dere.  Was da security here so light dat any slot can just drive up to da front fraggin' door widout no sec boys steppin' up and scannin' dere ID's or nuttin'?  Seems sloppy, but maybe dey wasn't expectin' company.  I'll meet da rest of youse outside when yer done in here.

That said, he saunters over to the elevators, looks at them for a minute and presses the down button.

While putting his drones up, VanGuard has a thought.  I wonder if there are any cameras that overlook the exit to the garage?  I wonder if they caught anything?  It would be interesting to see if the van still looked the same.  If so, it would be even better to catch in the action of changing looks.  That would be important.

Once VanGuard is finished packing his drones, he nonchalantly walks around the the exterior of the parking garage, taking note of any cameras that could have recorded the van exiting the garage and any that may have been able to record it driving down the street.

Roll to attempt to spot cameras: Perception Test: 17d6t5 3 hits / limit: 9

@ Forty

Looking at the wounds, Forty doesn't find anything to suggest that any of the deaths are caused by magical means.

@ VanGuard

Looking around, VanGuard finds the physical cameras, but notices that there aren't any device icons.  A closer look shows the cameras to be bricked.  The guard post has a man there.  He looks up as VanGuard approaches.
That's just like... your opinion, man.

>> Team [VanGuard]  There are a number of bricked cameras around the exterior of the garage. It would be interesting to find out if there is anything useful that they recorded that we haven't already seen, prior to becoming over priced paperweights of course. There is a security guard out here, I can question him, possibly find out who was on duty at the time of the attack. Do we have permission to talk to security? <<

VanGuard takes note of the guard, but otherwise continues his walk of the perimeter, unless approached by the guard, while awaiting for confirmation on whether it is safe to question the guard.

>>Team[Forty] We been good little mice, not stirring things up and stuff.  Before we go, do we push the lieutenant and guards a bit, see if we can shake loose a bit of what they really know?   Or is that just not done either, and we wait to step in the desk to know it's there?  If we're being the all nice and polite type of criminal then I think we must be almost done here, so then what?<<

Kachina looks at the Lieutenant and asks if VanGuard can talk to the guard at the post in the garage.

"Sure, but he's not the guy that was one duty.  That guy says he didn't see a thing and our wagemages say he's a mojo headcase."

kachina frowned.  This meant that the mage was a solid illusionist AND able to muck around in people's brains.  Well, hopefully that meant he wasn't a wiz kid in the artillery department.

Meanwhile, Ravener jacks out of the workstation.  "I found something for you," he mentions to Forty.  "I've loaded it onto your commlink, you can check it out later.  Now, where's this fellow with the cybereyes?"

Kachina points him out and Ravener kneels next to him, more crouched, unwilling to drop his knees into he blood.  A quick check reveals a high end commlink.  "Bingo," he says, and gets to work.

Henway exits the elevator in the parking garage, surveys the area, then saunters towards the entrance.  Pausing there, he notices a pair of cameras that appear to not be in working order before noting what appears to be a single occupant security booth at the gate.

Looks like da way in is da same as da way out.  One guard, cameras fragged.   Harris prolly just tell us da same ting about da guard dat was on duty here. Ting dat makes me scratch my head is dat dey didn't kill da inside cameras.  If dey did dat, and if we don't get nuttin' outta dat slot's 'ware, we'd have nuttin' at all to go on.  Means dey good, but dey ain't great.  He pauses as he takes another look around the outside of the building.  What we know for sure is dat dey got mojo and tech support, and muscle ta put da hurt on a bunch of slots dat can't fight back.

<<Vanguard and Forty [Kachina]: Let's keep a low profile for now. As soon as Ravener is done digging in the guy's commlink we'll get the hell out of here. >>

She once again addressed the Lieutenant. Lieutenant Harris, thank you. Rest assured we will do everything we can to find out who is behind this massacre.

Seeing the message pop up into his vision, VanGuard takes a couple more quick looks at the building and then heads back to the van.

>> Kachina [VanGuard] 10-4, I will not approach the guard. <<

>> Team [VanGuard] Team, I am headed back to my van, anyone who needs a ride is welcome.  I asssume that we will head somewhere where we can hash out the finer details of our next steps? <<

Once in the van he resumes his search for boots which are an exact match for the foot print, that should help with identifying the one chummer.

Ravener searches the commlink and then stands up.

"I got everything we need, I think.  I can review the files and see if he was recording at the time of the attack, we can do that in the van."

Taking one last look around, Forty mutters to nobody in particular "Poor fraggers, didn't even have a real chance to fight back."  Forty shudders at the thought, and continues "'Yukan' -- washing of the body --is going to leave any families who follow that version of Shinto with nightmares I bet."  Forty thinks for a moment, then mutters a couple of lines of Japanese, the opening of a funerary prayer that shouldn't be used until another dozen steps have been performed, but it is all she can think of to mark their passing.

Quote
"I got everything we need, I think.  I can review the files and see if he was recording at the time of the attack, we can do that in the van."

Forty shakes off her reflective mood, and announces "Good--if I have to be polite much longer I may explode.  How S .... someone could work in a place like this for years, I don't get."  She walks over to Ravener to give him a slap on the back and her version of a compliment "Now I know why the news trids are always scared of people like you, what you just did IS scary stuff chummer." Dropping her voice to a whisper she adds "Soon as we get a quiet moment, I'll pay up."

Then remembering that their words might be recorded she finally switches over to commlink.  >>Hey Henway, can you squeeze someone on the back of your bike?  I want the wind in my face to get rid of the smell of this place--or maybe that is just an excuse to ride a Harley.  We’re going somewhere to talk, right?  Anyone know any good places down in this end of town?<<

Ravener nods to Forty and messages 'No rush, we can focus on the run and you can pay me when things calm down.  Hope whatever you are looking for is in the files.'  To the rest of the team he messages out, 'I can reestablish a team comm circuit so we can discuss things while we move.  I don't know about any of you, but I wouldn't mind finding someplace outside to review the vids and share notes.  No food though, not going to be hungry for a while after this.  I will definitely need to grab my heavy kit before we go after these Yenaldooshi'

"I know of bar with a back room we could use. Its name is the mended drum. Some associates of mine play poker once a week there. Should be safe considering its a mafia hang out and everyone is highly armed and use to keeping quite. Unless that's not your thing In which case i have an apartment we could use. But that's a ways away." Angus waits to be the last out of the building insuring every one leaves safely and he doesn't miss any last discovery.

VanGuard does a quick search for the location of the Mended Drum, to determine its proximity to the op area and to his pad where the rest of his gear is located.  >> Team [VanGuard] The Mended Drum works for me.  Its on the way...ish to my apartment, where I have additional gear I would like to have before confronting the team that massacred those wage slaves. << VanGuard quickly focuses on the time stamp in the HUD in his cyber eyes as his stomach makes a grumbling demand, then adds.  >> Team [VanGuard] Do they serve food at this bar of yours, Angus? It's been a while since I had anything to eat. <<
