TLDR:  Read after the dotted line.

Background:
So I use a local gaming Meetup page to organize my public games.  A couple times per year we get an email form the meetup organizer asking for a little help to pay the semi-annual $90 fee to maintain the meetup.  So I chip in a few bucks every six months and I asked my more regular players to throw in a buck or so as well.  So I wanted to give them a little something for their generosity and NERPS seemed like the easy and fun solution.  So, on the honor system, they get 1 bonus NERP if they donate any amount to the meetup.

I've always loved the running joke of NERPS  and I wanted to include some old-school ad for NERPS to introduce them but try as I might I couldn't find anything.  I have a vague memory of some repetitive, rhyming ad for NERPS comprised of short pithy statements regarding all the many uses and amazing claims of NERPS.  I couldn't find that ad (or any really) so I tried to come up with a few myself but I couldn't come up with quite enough material to do it justice.

Something along the lines of this:
NERPS!  Good for a Troll!
NERPS!  Good for the soul!

Anyway, I was hoping I could enlist the hive-mind to come up with a few more rhyming pairs to make a more complete ad.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the disclaimer I wrote instead of the rhyming ad. (Ray: Feel free to steal this in whole or in part for the FAQ.)

**********************DISCLAIMER*****************************

Some restrictions apply. Only 1 NERP of any type may be used on any single roll. Standard NERPS expire at the end of the game in which they are earned. Unused bonus NERPS may be carried over from one game to the next. Bonus NERPS expire 6 months from Billie's semi-annual request for meetup assistance. See FAQ for further details.

.... NERPS offer no assurances or guarantees, either explicit or implied of improved performance associated with the use of NERPS. NERPS assumes no responsibility for damages sustained through the direct, indirect or incidental use of NERPS. Loss of life, limb, limb, essence, money, gear, sanity or morality sustained while using NERPS are the sole responsibility of the Shadowrunner in question.

... Use of NERPS has been known to cause dicepools to appear deceptively competent. Improper use of NERPS can also contribute to excessively large dicepools which have been known to lead to delusions such as feelings of invulnerability, superhuman psychosis, and causing people to say "It's like you can't fail..." and taking foolish and unnecessary risks.

Please NERP responsibly.

You may be thinking of the following:

http://fizzygoo.com/Sr/Nerps.html

Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?

That's IT!  Thanks for the link!

I've been wanting to add in some 6th world culture here and there and that is exactly what I needed.  Now I have a multitude of catchy lines to introduce my games.

"This episode of the Friday night game is sponsored by NERPS.  NERPS for your legwork!  NERPS for every merc!"
