I always thought it would be interesting to see how other people would interpret and handle the same character concepts. To this end I am kindly asking some of you to build a character based on the background below.
I have already build one version that I am planning on playing, but I am still curious about how others would handle the same idea. Hell, who knows, maybe it will turn into a new "series" in this community ^^

Rules: 5th edition and any generation system is allowed as well as all published material. The build does not have to be MIssion legal.

I both thank you in advance and give warning that English is not my first language.

The Write-Up

Concept: "Former" Company Man.

Suit originally had a different handle but after much controversy he simply changed it to "Suit" as that was the only thing people he came across could remember anyway, his very nice suit.
Because that is what he wears, a suit. Not just any suit, but a clean and tailored, expensive looking three piece suit with a black leather gloves, silk tie and a heavy navy blue coat. That's what people see when they notice him and that's what they can remember when he leaves the room, the grey wooly-looking suit. Not his Scandinavian features, his sandy blond hair that is greased up and swept back, not his green eyes or the pilot sunglasses having a century old design covering them.
Just.
The.
Suit.

Suit grew up in an Anglo reserve in Sioux Nation and spend much of his upbringing just being unnoticed no matter what he did. Being Anglo meant his parents could not rise far up the social ladder and even his own opportunities were limited. In order to improve his chances of success Suit starting wearing such clothing constantly and people at least started to notice the only suit in the room.
That changed when one of the Big 10, Ares finally did take notice when he married into the Corporation and pulled him into their service. Up until then he has been working freelance as a problem solver for the Sioux underworld, but from that point on he would solve problems exclusively for Ares in Sioux. Part of his training involved being included into KE training program, but he never received an official posting.
For years everything was fine, but slowly his job would grind his marriage and family life to a stop. Not wishing to totally destroy his daughter's chances of a more fruitful upbringing than his own, Suit chose a posting in Seattle rather than getting a divorce.
Here he chose to dive into the shadows to get more money to help his daughter back home in addition to his Ares posting, while juggling schedules to have enough time to see her without being brushed or covered in blood.

While he is very good at handling weapons Suit prefers it does not come to that. That would including conning or intimidating his way into places he would need to go, often putting his KE training to use by impersonating KE detectives. He follows his contract to the letter, even doing unspeakable things should it be required. He is not above killing children, but these cases will be handled delicately without any kind of pain or mental trauma dealt to his children caused by his hands. Women and men are handled to every single bloody and collar rising letter.
Suit actually feels very uncomfortable in the company of non-corporate runners. He acts distant and rigid especially during first meetings. He might seem very paranoid and distrusting, ordering unopened bottles of water etc. The main reason could be he has ambushed quite a lot of them during Ares Johnson double-crosses.
Many runners have on the other hand also a hard time trusting him because he screams corp. It does not help that his vehicle resembles an undercover cop car both on the outside and within, nor his unwillingness to harm Ares.
If Tom Brady’s a Spike Baby, what does that make Brees and Rodgers?

I suggest going sum to 10 generation with Attributes B, Skills B, Resourses B, Meta D, Magic E. I'm not 100% sure about that because I have no idea what bioware and cyberware (if any) would Suit have implanted. You can also have no serious 'ware at all (Attributes A, Meta C, Resources D) or go for a minimalistic set like used tailored pheromones 3+datajack+smartlink+muscle toner (Attributes A, Resources C).

Qualities are the thing I see clearly though. Unremarkable Blandness, SINner (Corporate Limited), Dependant (Daughter, 6 karma), Prejudice (Runners, Common, Biased); maybe First Impression if you feel like it. Leaves you with a heap of karma for later use.

Skills would probably be:
Acting SG 5
Negotiation 6
Intimidation 6
Perception ?
KE training melee skill ?
KE training ranged skill ?
The skillpoint leftover can be used for specialisations or more skills that you think are important for your character.

An unaugmented attribute array is something like
B3 A4 R4 S3 W5 I4 L3 C5 Edge 5.

Gear is pretty obvious. Berwick suit+Longcoat, high rating glasses, Ford Americar (probably lightly modded), medium lifestyle, most likely a pair of Shock Gloves. A high rating Fake SIN with a matching set of licences, a good commlink. That's about ¥50k, the rest should go to 'ware.

what, no quips on "how he shouldnt be lazy and make his own character concept first"?
Guess that only applies to new players then....

(No offence to Pixel though, he already did more than his fair share of helping out new players by all his summary work.)

Actually I did make one first. I just wanted to see others take on it. I'll post it later do not to influence the creative process.

I like this idea, and I am gonna get my own creation in on this once I have the chance to start, but how expensive is this suit going to be and is it allowed to be armored based on your concept?

My version like above is full Mort of London but it can be anything you like. But of course armored is definitely a plus

Huh?
Do you have a concept you'd like to see build? I'm sure there are enough people on this forum that would be up to the challenge.

no , it was just because i saw another new player (who i do not know personally)
get the exact same words i quoted flung at him in another thread here.

It just bothered me to see a new player to perhaps the most complex of the popular systems on the rpg market get that on its official forum.
(Its bad enough for us newbs that the rules themselves manage to be both contradictory, poorly written and without meaningful errata,
despite being mainly a "living document" pdf line of products.)

As i said OP has nothing to do with it , is a vet player actually contributing a great deal ,
but this was more of a venting reaction, likely due to 2 noobhelping threads ; both All4BigGuns thread in my signature not taking off
and Wakshaanis archetype challenge not getting at least an updated OP so people could post others so Hobbes summary there would not get drowned out.

Although i must admit , the other thread was asking for an AI character to be put together for him ,
those definitely belong to the more tricky parts of sr5 , having yet another completely different set of rules.

I can understand giving that kneejerk response.
The wording of the original post of that thread screamed new to the game, so I gave what little advice on rigging and smuggling I could.
It's all about how the starting post is worded that will determine the kinds of responses the poster will get.

To be fair: In that post five people tried to help and only one gave that - maybe needlessly - derogatory reply. I'd call that better than average for a typical day on the internet.

Help Me make a AI Drone Rigger Trucker. No actual work put into it.

Help me make a Tiger shifter mystic adept. No actual work put into it.

Help me make a Centaur shaman combat medic. No actual work put into it.

Nothing..not even a two or three sentence background.

After the needlessly derogatory comment by me (seriously, you can use my name, it's not like I'm going to delete it and say I didn't)...he put something for the AI Trucker and I commented on what he put up.

He then put up another concept- full body Fox changeling and he wrote in the changeling qualities positive/negatives (not totally balanced yet) that he thought would go with it. Which is effort that he hadn't put in before.

So while you may think my comment was needless it did not come until he had done three-four threads that amounted to 'do the character for me'. Since my needless comment he at least puts some effort. Is he gonna do an optimized character off the bat-nope. But he has to put in effort or he'll never learn.

Sorry, my mother doesn't still wipe me. It the great failing of the American education system that it no longer teaches self reliance. Yeah-I know. Now I'm guilty of soap boxing in addition to all my other failings.

And in this thread-Pixel didn't say do my character. He already has done the work. As a mental exercise, he just wants to see what anybody else would create using the same background.

Again, had the poster (since we're not using names for some reason) had put in a background story with no numbers crunch- I wouldn't have said a peep. That in and of itself is some kind of effort. And that's all I expect out of people- a little bit of effort.

I'll admit I wanted to shoot off as well on GunDrake.
Part of the reason I didn't was how new he sounded.
I didn't know about the other posts he did.
If I did, I would of told him to post a starting build before I would give advice.
In truth, I was considering how to build riggers and AIs in 5th, so working with the guidelines he set actually helped me.
