I always thought it would be interesting to see how other people would interpret and handle the same character concepts. To this end I am kindly asking some of you to build a character based on the background below.
I have already build one version that I am planning on playing, but I am still curious about how others would handle the same idea. Hell, who knows, maybe it will turn into a new "series" in this community ^^
Rules: 5th edition and any generation system is allowed as well as all published material. The build does not have to be MIssion legal.
I both thank you in advance and give warning that English is not my first language.
The Write-Up
Concept: "Former" Company Man.
Suit originally had a different handle but after much controversy he simply changed it to "Suit" as that was the only thing people he came across could remember anyway, his very nice suit.
Because that is what he wears, a suit. Not just any suit, but a clean and tailored, expensive looking three piece suit with a black leather gloves, silk tie and a heavy navy blue coat. That's what people see when they notice him and that's what they can remember when he leaves the room, the grey wooly-looking suit. Not his Scandinavian features, his sandy blond hair that is greased up and swept back, not his green eyes or the pilot sunglasses having a century old design covering them.
Just.
The.
Suit.
Suit grew up in an Anglo reserve in Sioux Nation and spend much of his upbringing just being unnoticed no matter what he did. Being Anglo meant his parents could not rise far up the social ladder and even his own opportunities were limited. In order to improve his chances of success Suit starting wearing such clothing constantly and people at least started to notice the only suit in the room.
That changed when one of the Big 10, Ares finally did take notice when he married into the Corporation and pulled him into their service. Up until then he has been working freelance as a problem solver for the Sioux underworld, but from that point on he would solve problems exclusively for Ares in Sioux. Part of his training involved being included into KE training program, but he never received an official posting.
For years everything was fine, but slowly his job would grind his marriage and family life to a stop. Not wishing to totally destroy his daughter's chances of a more fruitful upbringing than his own, Suit chose a posting in Seattle rather than getting a divorce.
Here he chose to dive into the shadows to get more money to help his daughter back home in addition to his Ares posting, while juggling schedules to have enough time to see her without being brushed or covered in blood.
While he is very good at handling weapons Suit prefers it does not come to that. That would including conning or intimidating his way into places he would need to go, often putting his KE training to use by impersonating KE detectives. He follows his contract to the letter, even doing unspeakable things should it be required. He is not above killing children, but these cases will be handled delicately without any kind of pain or mental trauma dealt to his children caused by his hands. Women and men are handled to every single bloody and collar rising letter.
Suit actually feels very uncomfortable in the company of non-corporate runners. He acts distant and rigid especially during first meetings. He might seem very paranoid and distrusting, ordering unopened bottles of water etc. The main reason could be he has ambushed quite a lot of them during Ares Johnson double-crosses.
Many runners have on the other hand also a hard time trusting him because he screams corp. It does not help that his vehicle resembles an undercover cop car both on the outside and within, nor his unwillingness to harm Ares.
