If I use my claymore (flavored as a nadochi) its 12 dv AP -5 pre hits. Combining that with high initiative, max racial agility, and more than one occasion surprise, things die.
As for why range weapons, Mr melee troll, meet FN-HAR loaded with ADPS and long full auto bursts, SnS, or EBR using bullseye double tap 3 blocks away. Not everything can be solve with melee, even for melee adepts.
