Hello all!

I've been interested in the canon and metaplot of SR for a while, and have recently checked it out via timelines, reviews and more. I've been doing some fluff/off-screen based SR/crossover fanfic, and a large part of it is the presence and interaction of official canon missions/adventurers run by the 'players'.

Along those lines, I wanted to create a (simple) dependency list listing:
1) All adventures/missions
2) What logical order they should be 'played' in, if done from the very first in 2050 to the most current, in the 2070s.
3) What metaplot date they correspond to (if applicable)
and/or
4) What are the metaplot prequisities for the mission (if any at all, such as a certain length of time passing)
and/or
5) What are the metaplot conditions (or date, circumstances, etc) to close off the mission (if it ever happens)

(Anything I missed? Please add in suggestions and so on!)

(7308/1st) Total Eclipse - simple, no external connections.
(7309/1st) Imago - 'Out there' concepts. No obvious links.
(7310/1st) Elven Fire - requires building up gang violence in Seattle over a medium-long period of time. No obvious links.
(7311/1st) Ivy & Chrome - No obvious links.

(7318/2nd) Divided Assets - No obvious links.
(7324/2nd) Predator and Prey - No obvious links.

(7205/1st) Universal Brotherhood:Missing Blood - depends on the unrevealed status of the UB. Would need to be set before '55/'56 and the dismantling of the UB and the containment of Chicago.
(7304/1st) Queen Euphoria - supposed to be the first appearance of insect shamans; might involve some date/concept shuffling to do it after the dismantling of the UB.

For the early-on adventures, you are ideally looking at publication order for run order - DNA/DOA, Mercurial, Dreamchipper, Queen Euphoria, Bottled Demon.  You could theoretically start seeding the Harlequin adventures amongst those, though i honestly wouldn't start getting into those until 2051-2052.

For the insect spirit adventures, there is actually have a pretty solid timeline - Queen Euphoria in 2050 (with KE getting interested then); Universal Brotherhood in 2051-2052; and finally Double Exposure in early 2055  Those have to be completed before Bug City goes live in 22 August 2055; Double Exposure is actually the Seattle portion of the KE extermination rounds, and so should take place sometime between January and July.

Oh, okay thanks.

I actually had more focused questions in mind when I listed all those adventures.

My 'starting' point would be the day of/day after big D's death (2057). Doing such automatically cuts off a number of the early adventures.

The 'ending' point would start around the earliest time of the Emergence of technomancers, but I don't know exactly when that is (any time past Matrix Crash 2.0, or is there an earlier date???).

So... Given that start and end point, what missions/adventures would be rendered invalid? The plan was to shove as many of them into that span of years as possible, so placing them in order and to certain calendar dates is really wanted.

There is another Sioux Focus run set after the events of that run, dealing with rescuing a former military personal and deals with bad mages and another runner team.

Agreed. This looks like a 'training wheels' edition, that you can use to introduce someone to the setting, and then shift over to something like 5E or 4E. Like how D&D 5E is best used as training wheels for D&D 3.X.

Turned in Toxshaman for ¥1 million/4 once.

The easiest way to do it is by publication date, then.  You'd then want anything published after the Big D's will, and before Crash 2.0 - since technomancers appeared pretty much immediately thereafter.

Honestly, publication date is pretty much the easiest way to do it always; SR's theme has been a 'rolling future', per se.

I can't say for certain that every one of these is available via DriveThruRPG but the majority of them are. I know because I have a good number of them on my wishlist there.

DriveThruRPG mostly sells PDFs. A handful of these are also available via print-to-order which works reasonably well. I bought Threats that way earlier this summer and was pleased with the quality.

If you want original paperback books instead of PDFs then I usually go to other sites looking for sellers with used copies. I use Amazon personally but eBay has a lot of inventory too.
