Hello!

I bought on Steam the 5th Edition Rules pdf for (as a DLC for Shadowrun Chronicles - Boston Lockdown).

The page 484  shows cover scene page from earlier editions, but that page is bigger than the other one.

Does fit to screen or width still work?

I am curious, because I am about to buy a tablet to view all the Shadowrun handbooks (instead of importing the physical editions to Argentina).

On my Windows page fit to width works fine; it fits the individual pages, not the largest page, in the native Win10 PDF viewer.

Aye, using a windows 8 tablet myself for books and pdf, a crummy little Vulcan i got on sale that is a glorified RPG book holder and Netflix reader.

It works quite well. If its too large, pinch out. If its too small, pinch in. Still not as great as the actual page turning experience paper provides in my humble opinion, but the very best next thing.

I use an iPad for reading all my RPG books, along with GoodReader.

iBooks does a great job handling the CGL pdfs I get from DriveThroughRPG both on my iOS and OSX equipment.

That said, WHY is there no ePub or enhanced digital publication of the books that cover a Dystopian Cyberpunk Future? This material is ripe for pushing the boundaries of what can be done in publishing today yet our books all still assume that they are stick on a physical page. Look at, and it hurts me to say this, The enhanced digital editions of Games Workshop's codexes. Any time a weapon or special rule is listed in a model profile it includes a pop up of the complete rule or profile. No need to flip back and forth. Seeing how things interact is as simple as linking additional data. This what publishing is already capable of and I am amazed that the gaming industry in general and CGL* in particular have not pushed this to its absolute limits with tabletop digital editions.

*Shadowrun obviously with interactive maps and inter-linked stats but an enhanced digital edition of a Batteltech Technical readout would be amazing!
