Mary Kuvick is a 15 year old Technomancer rescued from a "boarding school" (lab) by another one of my characters, and becomes his protege. I've never built a Technomancer before, so i'm not really sure what I'm doing. Here's what I have so far.

Name: Mary Kuvick
Alias: Eidolon
Metatype: Elf
Age: 15

Life Modules: Early Emergence, Elves/Humans, Escaped Technomancer, Technomancer Boarding School

Qualities: Guts, Low-light Vision, Ninja Vanish, Pain is Gain, Technomancer, Amnesia (Surface Loss), SINner (National) (Tir Tairngire), Vendetta (Dr. Carthagan), Wanted (Dr. Carthagan). Yea, he's hunting her, and she's hunting him. THAT will end well. *sarcasm*

BOD: 3
AGI: 4
REA: 4
STR: 3
CHA: 5
INT: 4
LOG: 4
WIL: 4
EDG: 3
RES: 5

Cyberware: Synthetic full left arm (real one was mangled during the escape), Commlink, Biomonitor, Cyberarm reloading slide, Math SPU

Bioware: Fangs

Gear: Armor clothing, Fake SIN (rating 4) (Abigail Duvall), Plush Toy, Renraku Sensei, 10 regular ammo (shotguns), 10 regular ammo (submachine guns)

Weapons: Winchester Model 201, Cavalier Arms Gladius

Skills: Submachine Guns 4(6), Compiling 7, Edit File 7(9), Con 6, Decompiling 8, Electronic Warfare 5, Etiquette 6, Hacking (Hosts) 6(8), Commlinks 5(7), Shotguns 4(6), Pistols 4, Registering 7, Urban Sneaking 4(6), Data Bombs 9(11), Urban Survival 5(7), English N, Area Knowledge: Portland 5, Matrix Data Havens 5(7), Matrix Games: Shadowrun Online 5(7)

Complex Forms: Editor, Redundancy, Resonance Spike, Resonance Veil

Sprites: Fault Sprite (Services owed: 3)

Look good? Did I frag something up? Anything I'm missing?

I have one main issue and a perceived issue.
1. Decompiling at 8. Highest you can get at chargen for life modules is 7.
2. Not really an issue but having sprites or spirits owe services out of chargen feels like a waste.

The qualities are... Well... Not the best you could have for a TM. Codeslinger (Hack on the Fly) is almost a must have, Focused Concentration on a Static Veil to hide sprites from GOD is really nice.
Decompiling is like Banishing for a Mage: the best way to fry yourself for absolutely no result. Just remove it.
There are stuff in the skills that are not skills at all: edit files & data bombs are specialities of Computer & Software respectively. Comlinks is nothing, not even a speciality of Hacking which would be Devices so no idea what it is.
Redundancy is useless. Resonance Spike is bad. Terribad in fact. Get Cleaner and Puppeteer instead. Consider Static Veil to hide a sprite from GOD.

And finally, the most important point: I hope you will never have to hack anything important, and god forbid, get into cyber combat. 9d to resist Fade and Matrix Damage, 8d to resist Biofeedback... First hit, you're down. With those mental stats, your living persona is...lacking. Limits of 4 for all you matrix actions (5 for attacks), you won't go far if there's an at least decent opposition (or any opposition at all for that matter).
If you have to lose an essence point, at least get some of the useful stuff, like a cerebral & cerebellum booster.

So all in all... Yeah, it could work for fluff purposes, but then, anything works for fluff purposes. Don't expect said TM to be any good in the matrix however...

I've decided I don't like building TMs, lol. I can build a mage a minute, but this is confusing the drek out of me. Any skill that is above 7 was done by Chummer. I tried lowering them to 7 or lower, and it bumped them right back. It's not letting me dump decompiling either.

Stats: BOD 3, AGI 4, REA 5, STR 3, CHA 5, INT 4 (5), LOG 4 (5), WIL 5, EDG 2, RES 5

Changed attributes to the following -

Positive: Focused Concentration, Codeslinger (Hack on the Fly), Technomancer, Guts (auto added by life module), Pain is Gain (auto added by life module), Low-light vision (elf), Ninja Vanish.

Negative: Vendetta (Dr. Carthagan, auto added by life module), Wanted (Dr. Carthagan), SINner (National) (Tir Tairngire), Amnesia (Surface Loss)

Better.
If you want more, you can check the petnomancer guide or a more generic one

Thanks, I'll definitely use these!

Mary's story is that she was kidnapped by a scientist when she was little after he found out she was a technomancer. He brainwashed the DREK out of her (hence the surface loss amnesia), and did all kinds of nasty things to her. One of my other characters, Mod, raided his lab to shut it down and found Mary nearly dead from the toll of Dr. Carthagan's experiments. He took her in as his protege and has been helping her hide from (and get even with) Dr. Carthagan ever since.
She earned the moniker "Eidolon" (Sperethiel for Phantom) via her penchant for appearing and disappearing seemingly out of thin air. She can do this both in the physical world (because she's tiny and easy to miss) and in the Matrix. Being kept prisoner for most of her life means that there are some parts of the outside world that elude her understanding entirely (What those things are is up to the DM). She's a sweet kid, just odd
